The car went of because he quickly tried raving it whilst starting you can hear the valves open as he pressed the accelerator

No reasonable suspicion. Might be obvious to you but wouldn't stand up in court. He might be wealthy by marriage or by the lottery. It's no business of the police though.

If he ran, most likely no doubt that car would've been searched, and same for the driver. As if you couldn't already tell, that'd be suspicious in it's outright.
But since he stopped, like D Rcl said perfectly, no reasonable suspicion.
I'm shocked they did not search the car or his finances, he dresses and acts like a teenager, zero culture, must be leasing it

Do you think speeding immediately gives the officer grounds to search your car? It doesn't.
The grounds to search a person, vehicle, or both, need to be reasonable.
How did he stall it? There is no way that X6M is a manual.
I also dont know why it happens but stalling also occurs in automatic cars and seems to be common in BMWs
It's the auto start stop battery I thought other cars then BMW would have had that by now haha, no stalling here
@@hugomota3696 the car has a ghost immobiliser. he forgot to put in the code when he got back in and it cut off.
he didn't stall it. He just didn't hold it on the key long enough to start it.

As a former cop yeah we did, they are all bellends like this guy. This guy is a jobsworth! He absolutely loves it, he's the type of guy that after retiring after 30 years will come back to work because there's nothing else to do in life!

Complete fail by you. As a serving officer there's no grounds to search his vehicle, unless he suspects he's under the influence of drugs, why would he drug test him? Those drug testing kits aren't cheap and they don't have an unlimited supply.... where I police nobody has them and we have to call out traffic officers to attend, and they'll only use the wipe if they suspect they are likely to get a positive result because they cost a fair bit of money and there's not a load of them.
Seize his car for speeding twice in twelve months? Because he was accused of going 23 mph over the limit or what?

Whether you admit it or not makes no difference whatsoever. Any "admission" is easily redacted and argued in court that the person was under "duress"... or felt "intimidated" so admitted the offence when they didn't want to admit it.
The admission also makes zero difference, if you're being charged to go to court with the offence, then they have the evidence they need to prosecute you, the admission isn't "evidence" on it's own merit as plenty of times admissions have later been withdrawn.

Yes , once you've passed your test and have all the relevant documentation you can use your vehicle on the public highway ; but your licence can be withdrawn at any time and for many reasons. Thus your privilege to use the Highway has been withdrawn. As I understand it the only users of the Highway that have the Right of Use are walkers, pedal-cyclists, horse traffic and cattle drovers.

By virtue of having to pass a driving test AND having all the paperwork (as you said yourself), that means it's not a "right", because it can be removed at any time by the DVLA. Most rights are "absolute" such as the right to life and as it's a "human right" it can't be removed (i.e in the UK you can't be "sentenced to death").
Other rights are subjective, such as the right to liberty, but if you find yourself breaking the law often enough you'll end up with that subjective right being removed and you'll end up in prison.

Because in the UK very few people have guns. A very different style of policing as a result. In addition, our laws are clear when it comes to searching people and when you can/can’t do it. My understanding of the US is that for “officer safety”, police can do pretty much what they want. Not over here - and quite rightly so.

I find it weird he didn't do an alcohol test bc in my 3rd world country one of the first things police do when they stop you is taking an alcohol test
I believe under UK law there has to be some reason to suspect intoxication to request a sample - as the driver hadn't been veering in the road or similar, and presumably the officer couldn't smell any alcohol on his breath, there wouldn't be any justification for requesting one

What does he mean when he says “it’s not a right it’s a privilege to drive on our roads”. So long as you have the proper documents it’s exactly and unmistakably a right to use the roads. This officer was annoying and jealous.
The privilege is the documentation. You have to earn them in the first place and they can be taken away if you abuse the privilege. They're not automatically bestowed upon you by the state.

If it was a right and not a privilege then you wouldn't need to earn a driving license because your legally allowed to drive. It's classed as a privilege because the DVLA can choose who does and doesn't get a license.

To become a police officer in 2021 you need either a degree before you join or complete a degree apprenticeship which takes three years. I can’t imagine you would need higher education qualifications to work at PC World.

I wish there was a way to vet people when they start taking driving lessons, to determine maturity levels & refuse them driving tests until a certain age. The amount of young lads - who only pass their test so they can act like idiots on the road - who end up seriously injuring or killing not only themselves, but others, is insane.
