I’ve owned both. Sold my Hellcat. The G26 is like an A-10 Warthog, it just works, has a great history, from 10 rounds to fun sticks. Has a flatter shot and parts are cheap and easy to find.
Thanks for the good review. I have a Gen 5 Glock 26 and loving your reviews on it. I also shot with the Hellcat and it is really slim and comfortable to hold, I find it close to Glock 43 than 26. Best regards from Turkiye
I love Springfield They make a hell of a gun that will eat up any ammo with no hiccups I have 4 different xd models I purchased a glock 26 and I feel that it is the most versatile pistol on the planet You can go with a flush 10 rd mag, a 17 rd mag a 33 round stick or a 50 round drum The hellcat is too snappy compared to the glock 26, but the hellcat is a still a hell of a gun
Actually went to buy a hell cat yesterday at my local pawn shop they had just gotten in a slightly used one went held it looked at it and then spotted the gen4 Glock 26 in the case in brown and black held it with the 10 and 15 round mags .ended up buying the glock came with mags 4 back straps the box and Glock paper work with tax out the door was 360. As usual awesome video SPN
I have had both. I sold my hellcat. The only reason is because I wanted all my 9mm magazines standardized. My g17 g19 g26 all use the same magazine ad well as my ar9s. I wanted to be able not to worry about what gun and mag I grab especially in pressure situations. I know practice makes you closer to perfect but for ease and personal comfort that's why i did it.
I love the Springfield magazines on my Gen 1 Xds9. It's the same deal with the 3 different sizes. And with the 8rd mag +1 I have 9 in a small single stack xds and also a good extension on the grip. I feel safe and protected with 9 hst's or gold dots. And also the smaller 7rd mags are really small since they are single stack so 16 rounds on hand in a small package and slim profile. Edit I think you convinced me to grab and try a G26
Great comparison video!!! I would say one thing: for people considering one or the other, the Hellcat micro standard does not come optics ready. You will need to upgrade to the OSP or higher. Other than that, handle and shoot both to see which one works best for you!!
Hey bro quick question you think the hellcat 11 round sub flush pinky extension is still shorter than the Glock 26 with the x grip ? That’s my biggest concern rn
I Think so and I have both. I pocket carry and it's much easier with the hellcat. I just pop a kydex trigger sheath on mine and it's sits in the pocket nicely.
The hellcat is snappy? Try the XD-40 subcompact guys. Way more snap, promise lol. First firearm I ever had issues with limpwristing. But I'm getting better with it
Try putting the hogue grips on. I did it to mine and it really helped stabilize it to keep the side to side motion down and the sand paper feel went away.
How is your experience with the Hogue grip on your Hellcat? It's pretty snappy as is, I was thinking to buy that grip and the 15 mags to see if it help with recoil.
@@hunter1028 that would be a perfect combo. The 15 mag helps it not have so much rise and it's 4 more rounds then the 11 round. The 13 rounds is great also. The hogue grip works great as far as side to side grips. Just be sure to read the instructions very well on installing them because they are hard to slip on. They're made go on and not come off very easy
I use my G26 as my primary and a Taurus GX4 as a pocket carry. The GX4 is similar in size to the Hellcat & Sig so it’s more manageable for pocket carry.
Alright, question. If you had to take a longer shot, like 30-40 yards, would you feel confident taking it with the Hellcat or is the 26 enough more 'shootable' that you'd rather have it?
Glock 26 was my first gun. Sig P365 was my second. I damn near flip a coin on which to carry every day. I would vouch for both. Best EDC guns made to date
*Heck Yeah. G26 that is what I carry. I pocket carry (kydex holster) or side leather holster in winter (canceled by coat}. I just started looking at the Hellcat and Sig P365, handled both at the gun store. Impressed with the feel. Slightly thinner and lighter than G26. From reviews they appear to be good firearms from good companies. Sticking with G26. I own it, know it, does the job very well. The never ending game of better, how much better do I need? G26 is perfect for me, conceals, pocket carry, shoot it very well. All the reason to stay Glock were mentioned in the video. My other carry is Kahr CM9, all pocket.*
Good video. I absolutely love my 26. It works every time. It's simple. I trust it. I shot well with it. I just wish my Gen4 had a stock rail for a light and mounts for a red dot. But I wouldn't trade it.
Hellcat is thinner in width, shorter in length and height, holds one more round than the glock, lighter than the glock, also has a rail on the hellcat. With that said I own and carry both with zero problems and 1000s of rounds through both.
sold my hellcat pro because i cant conceal it. thinking of getting the smaller brother. i have a g26 for ccw and you're right with what you said about it.
Do you use the 12 round magazine when carrying? Also do you have light on your 26? I’m stuck between the hellcat pro or the 26 but kinda worried about the longer grip of the pro.
I hate my Springfield I have over 1000 through my Glock never missed a lick since new out of the box.that’s what I look for in a conceal carry. Totally reliable even more reliable than my Sigs
Ive had my hellcat pro for some time but with a holosun and tlr7 its harder to conceal in the summer with shorts. What would be the better option for less printing in the summer? G26 or original hellcat?
@@spnfirearms thanks man appreciate it. Ivd had my eyes on a few guns for my summer carry. Always loved the feel of the 43x , and also looked at a pps m2. Liked it, just gonna have to do some deciding haha!
That’s what i was told but when I hang it like, the way it was made, makes it like faded. There’s only one side of color and it won’t let me switch it. I’ll have to order another one
So... I fit 14 rounds in the 13 round magazine and dropped 1 in the chamber for 14 + 1 with no mods. Haven't been to range yet but can ya give me your thoughts if you try it?
Add a Hogue Grip to the Hellcat and it almost feels like you’re holding a Glock 26/27. Big difference in my groupings now. No more low left shots. I rotate between the Hellcat and Glock 27
The Hellcat is a nicer gun and comes with a bit more extras than the glock 26, but could you take the hellcat to war? The glock 26 is more versatile it's compatible with a number of glock magazines 17, 19, 30 round mag, and if things really go bad you can even use a 100 round drum magazine now that's crazy but it's good to know it's capable of using it if needed.
hellcat is hard to beat, if not unbeatable at this point in time. I love Glock, but the hellcat completely destroys anything that Glock offers right now.
never shoot a video in portrait mode, always landscape !

What type of holster for iwb do you carry for the Glock 26?
What kind of grip tape do you use?
Themag that it comes with is it 10 or 11 not including one in the chamber

Can't you say this. Thanks

i do need a thinner grip… might go with the micro
the underrated hellcat rdp i gues is the most flexible.

Do you have a link of the grip for the glock? Thanks
Google HandleIt edge series grips. Make sure you get the edge series! They are the best by far
I'm a CZ & Walther guy through & through. I do like my full size Springfield XDM in .45acp & .40 s&w. But when I CC I use my Sig P365X.

The original hellcat! And when you want you can still throw the 15 round magazine in it.

Which was based off of the 26..
Your flag is displayed incorrectly. The union (stars) should be to the viewer's upper left.
The flag only has one side. Therefore it can’t be displayed that way. I am getting a new flag to drape behind the right way! Thanks tho!
You should keep loaded mags away from weapons when your making videos just good practice
You have two wives?🤣 I noticed the rings lol
No need for loaded mags around
