I am only 2 hours from Boone, but on the Virginia side of the mountains. It’s such a neat area to visit, but I’ve never been to Tweetsie Railroad. It’s on my list of places to take my kids though!

Black bears won't do much to you unless there is something wrong with them (teeth hurt, leg hurts, etc). I've walked within 30 ft of black bears. We stopped and let them do their thing.

How did kids do with the car road trip
The big kids did great! They’re used to these long road trips by now. Sean had a harder time with it, but overall I think he did better than I thought he would!
