Only now, I grew up with NIGHTWISH, ive been hearing them for half my life
Paula, I know when I read the bio I wondered how I am just now hearing them. Better late then never.
Yes there are many still stuck to comercial and pop music
I grew up with Led Zeppelin, Tool, Metallica, Danzig, and unless it was talked about on MTV, word of mouth from friends or in a magazine you didn't hear about it. I wish youtube had been around when I was younger. Of course then MTV became more about reality shows than music.
Floor's little dance during the intro made me smile so much, she's so lovely

I still dont understand all those who claim that Tarja is the best vocalist of Nightwish. Floor can do what Tarja does, and much much more. She can do everything, one of a kind vocal beast. This band with Floor is a whole new dimension of awesomeness. Love her very much.

They Just have a compeltly different style, even floors „opera voice“ is much „rounder“ than tarjas. Tarja feels a lot more distinct to the rest of symphonic metal, while Floor has a more Mainstream sound, just very clean. She is also definetly more versatile than Tarja. Neither is better that are Just different. Thats why i prefer the Ghost love score with Floor but will always like Songs like nemo or end of all Hope with Tarja.
They are both amazing and one of a kind
Exactly, Tarja is excellent in bringing her style of music and how she makes the band sound. Now Nightwish sound bit different, but still excellent with Floor 🤘🏻
Tarja had the opera voice, Annette had the rock voice, Floor is the best of both worlds
I liked Nightwish with Tarja, I liked studio albums with Anette (concerts were problem) , but Floor is really queen of the stage and I see, boys are very happy in this time.

Very true. This song for instance, is very nice in its CD form, but the live performance makes it even better!

Who wouldn't be happy performing with her? Look at her! She owns that stage entirely and everyone up there with her knows it. Her voice is just supernaturally beautiful and powerful.

Nightwish is my favourite band/artist post 90s, and this wondrous lady Floor is the BEST thing to happen to them! She can sing the old classics and also the new stuff. I miss Jukka and Marko, but her presence seems to fill all the blanks!

i love the little things like Emppu giving Troy the horns up after his flute solo haha. Floor is awesome but don't forget to pay attention to the rest of they band, they are all awesome.
Emppu gives horns, because Troy made a mistake in the start of his tin whistle solo. That is why Emppu first glanced behind his shoulder and later shows horns, as to forgive and say that it didn't matter and give support, I think.
My favorite thing is Floor moving up to Tuomas' platform to finish the song, then they both give a quick bow of acknowledgement to each other. So much love in this band - their ultimate super-power!
@@jariseppala9719 Yeah, that was very cool. Emppu is the ambassador of support in this band - all over the stage!! He walks past Floor in the beginning, touching her on the shoulder just before she sings. I heard her talk about how he does things like that in a interview, being the glue of the band!! He's just so cool!
I love the guitar / flute solo part of this song, it sounds like Emppu and Troy are having an argument.

For all the zillion times I’ve seen Floor in front of this band, one word still comes to mind: Majestic.
I just love how Emppu makes such great impression on band members just by passing by and touching them.

Uhhhh - he also sometimes turns off her in-ear……. There is a little more behind that smile……. Early in Wacken 2013, you can see him turn it off, and then Floor fixing it. When he goes behind a few minutes later, she spins around so he can’t do it again as he passes!
She's fit for casting in Wonder Woman movie, she's like a warrior with an angels voice.

Three reasons why Nightwish is different from other heavy metal bands:
1. They have a female singer, and an amazing voice
2. The keyboard player writes most of their materiale, not the lead guitarist
3. They are smiling when they play
Battle Beast is another band you should check out. They're power metal, not symphonic, but they also have a ton of fun while performing, and have a female singer that kicks ASS. Delain, also.
Gloryhammer is another where the keyboarder writes the music and they're clearly having a blast the whole time.

It's amazing to see how Floor is acting and singing at the same time. She really puts so much emotion in all their songs. It's just amazing how one person can sing all the notes!! When i found out Marco left the band I was so sad! He really gives the band some extra spirit with his amazing voice and guitar play! I just love Nightwish in every sense of the word! Thank you Tuomas for starting such a great band!
Jukka left a big hole in Nightwish when he left b/c of chronic insomnia. I'm not saying Kai is not a great drummer. He is but Jukka was far more a showman than Kai ever will be.
The mark of a really great band is that the songs are better live than on a studio album, Nightwish are a prime example of this, great song, great band, great singer, great performance

The more I see of Empuu, the more I love the wee guy. He's always up to something, engaging not only with the crowd, but also with the other band members, having fun, and all the while playing in his immaculate style.
Singing such a powerful and strong genre of music all of these years has made Floor a physically strong and powerful presence on stage. Look at her! Muscles and strength everywhere...yet still very, very, feminine!

Each member of this band is so immensely talented. I am absolutely mesmerized. I thank them for sharing their gift with us.
Of course but unfortunately they did not show of in a lot of their songs would love to hear way more emppu solos and keyboards like back in the days. I think also that Marco had no space to shine on the new album. I mean just compare master passion greed for example with endlessness I think its clearly in which song he performed better. The sad thing is that Tuomas said before releasing the album that everyone pushed him self to the limit but I didnt see that. Troys pipes and arrangements and vocals where better than on efmb but still way weaker than on tracks like i want my tears back. Emppu has just one short solo, which is really a shame. Marco has just one song with lead vocals where he didnt show off. Tuomas has no solo or crazy keyboard parth. We have such a less amount of lead guitars like on no album before. Kais drums where good and better than on efmb but he is able to do way more like he did in wintersun. So for me as a musican the new album was very disappointing. I could play every song of the album within one hour on guitar. I had so much von of jamming along the diffrent nw albums but the last two didn’t got me that much. Only Floor did an amazing job on the last album and of course the songs are not bad at all and the composing is still great but I expected more from the musicans.
