I discovered Nightwish about 2 weeks ago. I can't stop listening. I've been listening to music since I was about 14 years of age. I think I have developed an appreciation of Good Singers ( though I understand this is very personal), BUT - Floor is by far the best singer I have ever heard. I have always been into 'cock rock bands' - Male singers - but she gives me goosebumps. Drop dead gorgeous as well. I have never considered myself a Metal fan, ( being into other genres) but Floor is so captivating. They are all clearly great musicians. God - come back Marko - you make it all so attractive and complete.

She is not only the best singer. She is the force of nature, seeing her performance on the stage is a special experience like feeling really alive.
The way she actually peeks at the " Close your eyes and take a peek " moment it's the most adorable and cute thing I ever saw in my entire life

That's what I call a real band. Everything about them is just amazing. I wished I have discovered them years ago.
I don't believe I've ever seen a band that enjoys what they are doing as much as Nightwish with Floor. It's not a job, it's not "just another show" They seem to love what they are doing and are glad to take the audience along for the ride.
Troy is such a beast. I never see people mention him, so I credit him as an unsung hero of this group.

Most people don't understand how hard it is to play one instrument to that level. Let alone a bunch of instruments and sing.
There was a definite improvement to the group when he came on. Another great dimentation to an already fantastic group of artists.

İ am 60 yrs old next,i have loved rock all my life,and have loved many bands over the years and seen many bands live,ie ac dc rush Lizzy ufo zep to name but a few,i only discovered nightwish 6 months ago and have to say,they have blown me away like no band ever has,the chemistry they have on stage is mind-blowing,they are totally unique and why they are not the biggest band in the world is criminal,long may they continue,also love the new single.
I love when Emppu walks the stage touching and smiling every one.
Emppu's solo here is so underrated. The taping at the end is just perfect.
Marco's voice still gives me shivers even after 11 years of listening ❤️

I love the interaction between Floor and Tuomas at the end. There was such a great vibe amongst the whole band.
i'm a nightwish fan since their very first album. I was in love with tarja's voice and could not imagine any replacement for her. boy was i wrong. Floor is making all the songs her own and it sounds freakingly good.
my wish: Nightwish shall re-record ALL songs with Floor and release it as an album. Would be mindblowing.
I would support this idea. Now, just to convince the band and the record company...

I didn't know anything about this band before reading your comment. I googled it, and I found some guys in masks and lots or makeup. Of course I don't know the music they play, as I know Nightwish' music. But I can say this: Nightwish don't need any kind of strange makeup or costumes to be a great band. In fact, apart from their long hair and Tuomas' crazy headbanging while playing keyboards, they look very "normal". Is only their music, lyrics and the themes they sing about what makes them unique and great. It's obvious they deserve prizes, just for making such good and complex music. But, they are not very commercial, I think, for the world, for the radio stations or the music tv networks. Anyway, as long as they exist, we'll keep listening.

Eduardo Acosta I must agree that they’re not very commercial, during my high school days, only one of my classmates know them since he’s a big fan of rock. I found them accidentally through a game, and the first songs I heard were Amaranth and Stargazers, which also were my favourites in the game. Yeah it was lucky of me to find such a great band.
Believe me, if Nightwish were up for a Grammy, I might at last watch the show. They're miles above the usual drivel that is nominated.

They are a good clean sounding band and strive to use music to tell a story usually. Been Listening to them for years. Got to see them the first time when they came to the United States on tour.
You need to listen to their older albums with Tarja. I miss the opera voice (of which I know Floor can do very, very good as well (try the old After Forever if you haven't yet)) in the newer Nightwish songs. Nightwish played Stargazers in Wembley as well though and it's dead on! Floor is just the best replacement for Tarja they ever had. I hope more Stargazer-like vocals will be used in new songs or they'll play more old material like Stargazers soon. 👍🏻
I recommend Floor's band ReVamp if you enjoy her voice!! Her vocals go to amazing levels in her songs with them. She even does a bit of screaming!

Floor Jansen is the best singer female singer in the genre as far as I am concerned because she sounds great and because of her versatility! She can sing anyhow anyway any day! She's just so fucking talented!

A Nightwish concert with Floor is generally a rocking good time and entertainment. A Nightwish concert with Tarja is mostly a musical journey transporting attendees to wherever it takes them.
People who started listening to Nightwish during Tarja times are used to the old sound. And yeah we all missed her during Anetter times (pure disaster). Floor is just god send.
floor is wonderful and i am happy to see NW in such a good line up again. i am (obviously) a fan from good old tarja times. a nightwish concert back then ... was pure magic, ethereal, delicate, powerful, subtile, bombastic... all at the same time! current line up is great, but... i miss the special fairylike touch.
To be honest, I do miss Tarja quite a lot when Floor sings the songs Tuomas made for Tarja, but I think that's kind of understandable.
But yes, Floor just takes the stage and makes it her own. She isn't just a musician on the some stage - it is hers.
Never got to enjoy Nightwish live back in the day, then Anette came (just not my cup of tea), and I sadly lost complete interest.
Just been like ... a week or two since I've learned NW is back, as far as I'm concerned.

That was a powerful and magical show from Nightwish. The Vehicle Of Spirit DVD/Blu-ray Editions so beautiful (especially the Earbook Edition with so many photos).
The Wembley Arena and the Tampere Show so awesome and pure magic. Great songs from the Endless Forms Most Beautiful Tour and some golden oldie Nightwish songs with many-many extras.
Floor rules the full stage with full of energy, with dancing moves, small theatrical gestures and communication with the audience. This woman is a pure magic and gift for humanity. And that singing and voice. Just wow. Powerful and beautiful performance. I'm truly amazed every single time.
Floor have a beautiful heart and soul! I love this woman. Her voice, performance, femininity, presence, style... all of them!
I really hope Floor will singing for so many years for us (and Nightwish too). Floor deserve every support, love, appreciation and respect!
I hope one day I meet with her and we can talk a little bit (and thank her for everything includes the After Forever/ReVamp era).

Eddie Castillo Kai Hahto one of the best, actually. And greatly appreciated amongst drummers of the genre. This kind of music and playing is like warm up routine for him 😉He has brought so much "tightness" to the overall sound of the band. All kudos to Jukka, he is great, too, but i Kai is totally on the other level
I know literally nothing technical about drums, but I actually prefer Jukka. He has more of that je ne sais quoi that I call "soul".
He is just wasted here. He should go back to Wintersun and replace that horrible drum machine they are now using.

I miss Yukka as well, he was a great Showman. But Kai is good too, as far as Talent is concerned I have no complaints.
@@lizzyq7807 While Kai is one of the best drummers in the world, Jukka had the energy and always beat drums like no tomorrow. If Jukka ever comes back, Nightwish will instantly get a whole lot heavier sound

I feel this is the same discussion like it was with AC/DC and 2 of their drummers Phil Rudd (best drummer imo) and Chris Slade (extremely technically proficient).
You'd have a hard time discerning any noticeable difference between the two, though I feel Rudd is a better fit. Also helps that he can keep the rhythm better than a metronome it seems.
I've heard plenty on Nightwish's Wacken (2013) and Tampere (2015) concerts, and I honestly can't hear much difference with the drums. Kai Hahto is definitely a beast on the drums. 100% worthy stand-in/replacement for Jukka.
@@mussunmussun3536 You're totally wrong.. The band will have a heavier sound if Tuomas writes a heavier sound.. Drummers just play what Tuomas writes.
