I see people disagree on chen being number 1. Sorry but when it comes to vocal technique, power and range chen is definitly the best in exo, arguably the best male vocalist in sm imo. Baekhyun and kyungsoo come in as close second i think they are both equal. Also chanyeol should be a little higher imo.
I think chanyeol is on the right place.He can sing well,but he has a hard reaching high note.He tend to use falsetto rather than belting them.Im not sure about low register tho.

My bias is Do Kyungsoo but still if we talk about the best vocal in exo it's come to CHEN no doubt for it. for me : 1. CHEN : He's good at high notes (it's NO JOKE) and lows note as well you can see it on exo showtime, and His voice is very stable while singing. 2. D.O. : His voice has a characteristic, he's good at high & low note too. 3. BAEKHYUN : He has a soft tone Vocal (that can make girls die) and good at high note as well.
lol i don't understand when people said that chen is good purely because of his technique (to be good in vocal, everyone need to master various techniques). lol chen even ranks higher than baekhyun according to experts. plus, his voice suits every genre (rock, ballad, pop, dance and etc). Baekhyun - BACON IS VERY GOOD AT HIGH NOTES, has...good...support, But strains more compared to the other main vocals (he sounds like Taeyeon but less powerful)
I completely agree with this list. Baekhyun and D.O are close, but I'd still rank D.O higher. Chen is most definitely #1; no competition. He is among the best vocalists of kpop. I've seen alot of comments saying that Baekhyun can hit high notes while D.O is unable, but let me remind you this is based on technique, power, AND range. Higher notes does not equal better vocals. Xiumin has a beautiful voice, and he can hit the highest note in EXO; but he isn't the top vocalist in EXO. Many people are also saying _____ should be #1 because their voice is their favourite; once again, not based on which voice is your favourite, but their abilities.

I love Kyungsoo's unique and special technique, it is so unique and R&B, normally a vocalist is characterized by his vocal tone, but Kyungsoo is different because he is characterized by his vocal technique, and this is very nice, but a singer needs to change his techniques in each song to achieve versatility in all musical genres. This result is bad for Kyungsoo, because his voice is so r & b but he is not versatile, this technique characterizes him, so if he changes his technique he no longer has that thing that characterizes him. I'm not gonna comment about how good someone's singing technique is or how someone should sing because I'm no an expert. Lay himself said he doesn't sing amazingly that's why he learned from a Korean singer to shape his voice for Lose Control but i gotta say Lays vocal has character you could tell that without even seeing him. His voice reminds me of bit Justin Timberlake. Also more importantly he arranges all his songs he will know what songs type and arrangement is suitable for his vocal range & type and I think that's a huge winning already. John Mayer was also weak in vocal when debuting but through learning and experience he becomes one of the best singer-song writers of his generations.
My opinion is 1) Chen 2) DO 3) Baekhyun 4) Chanyeol 5) Luhan 6) Lay 7) Xiumin (but he has a LOT of potential to improve to get to probably 4 or 5) 8) Tao 9) Kai 10) Suho 11) Kris 12) Sehun But all of them can sing very well (except Sehunnie, but we love him very dearly anyway, and Kris is just okay. Suho's a step or so above okay. He's on about the same level as Kai and Tao, but I think they edge him out on pure stability and support factor)
You might just not like Suho's vocal colour or something like that, but he is still technically a better vocal than a no.10. He's on par with Luhan and Lay at no.4. Chanyeol's voice has a really beautiful colour and texture but at the same time, he is not as technically capable as Suho. How many high notes has Chanyeol hit compared to Suho? Personally, I do not like Suho's vocal colour, preferring Chanyeol's but that's just a point of taste not a point of fact.

I adore Kyungsoo's voice, his tone of voice along with Baek and Chanyeol's are my favorites, but, many vocal coaches and professionals in music and singing have studied EXO's vocals (I study them too 😊) and Baekhyun turns out to be the one 2nd best vocalist of EXO. But you have the right to choose your favorite vocalist, I will respect your opinion, but technically in the voice I already explained everything 😘

I completely agree with this list. Baekhyun and D.O are close, but I'd still rank D.O higher. Chen is most definitely #1; no competition. He is among the best vocalists of kpop. I've seen alot of comments saying that Baekhyun can hit high notes while D.O is unable, but let me remind you this is based on technique, power, AND range. Higher notes does not equal better vocals. Xiumin has a beautiful voice, and he can hit the highest note in EXO; but he isn't the top vocalist in EXO. Many people are also saying _____ should be #1 because their voice is their favourite; once again, not based on which voice is your favourite, but their abilities.

I'm not gonna comment about how good someone's singing technique is or how someone should sing because I'm no an expert. Lay himself said he doesn't sing amazingly that's why he learned from a Korean singer to shape his voice for Lose Control but i gotta say Lays vocal has character you could tell that without even seeing him. His voice reminds me of bit Justin Timberlake. Also more importantly he arranges all his songs he will know what songs type and arrangement is suitable for his vocal range & type and I think that's a huge winning already. John Mayer was also weak in vocal when debuting but through learning and experience he becomes one of the best singer-song writers of his generations.

Chanyeol's voice has a really beautiful colour and texture but at the same time, he is not as technically capable as Suho. How many high notes has Chanyeol hit compared to Suho?
Personally, I do not like Suho's vocal colour, preferring Chanyeol's but that's just a point of taste not a point of fact.
