Here we have checked our design by using SolidWorks Flow Simulation, speed simulated was approximately 360km/h.
Flow trajectories showed that wing works almost perfectly, moving the air around the front wheel, bellow and around the nose and also without any visible issues.
    DOWNFORCE - around 300kg
    DRAG - around 100kg

Found your video very interesting. How to convert the m/s to N in the solver goal plot?

Hello mr. amazing work there thanks for this series of videos. I'm working on a design for rc car but when i'm going to start the flow simulation i'm getting an error which says starting points were not created even though i've selected every face/edge/curve of my design. Funny thing is the first test worked fine but later i decided to add more fins and stuff and since then i'm getting this error. Any idea what's causing that? Cheers!

      thanks a lot man
well it can be anything, any time you change something in the design you have to check everything and computational domain as well, let me know if you need more help!
      Cheers, Petar!

Good Job. what are the parameters of the computer that did it? What processor? How much RAM? What graphics card?

I think at the time of making this video I had like a
      i5-4690k
      8GB RAM
      AMD Radeon R7 290 OC
      Asus z-97 mark 2 motherboard
      etc

Can we do same in ansys?

    • @phoneindustrydesign
      @phoneindustrydesign  2 года назад

answer is not could you - you should!
because Ansys is a software made for these kind of things and therefore a lot better tool
I wanted to show CFD in SolidWorks for SW users because SW is easier to use
so yeah, if you want to take this series you should use Ansys!

Where did you obtain the dimensions of the wing?

Just followed the base car dimensions with some reference images
