Just added this delete kit to my 2018 JL and I love it!! What drew me to this kit over the others were three things..
1. It is made out of aluminum instead of steel. I know a lot of folks would want the steel because of strength, but we all know what happens if steel gets even the tiniest scratch on it......RUST!!!!!
2. It allows you to use the factory third brake light and the factory back up camera! I've seen at least one other kit that allows the camera, but it sits too low and doesn't use the factory third brake light.
3. THE PRICE!! For JL spare tire delete kits, the price on this at the time of purchase was waaaayyyy better than the competition!
Artec has a winner with this product, and I couldn't be happier with the way this looks on my JL! Thanks Artec Industries!!!
Oh, one more thing, I did not put my license plate on the kit as I still have the factory rear bumper on my JL. I did however put a reflective American Flag license plate on the kit that looks GREAT!! USA! USA! USA!!! :-)

Thats what we love to hear! Glad it assisted you! We are actually going to be releasing an updated video of this here soon as well since we made revisions for the 2021+ camera, which is different then the 2018-2020 cameras.

This is exactly what I’ve been looking for. I wanted a delete that used the factory brake light and didn’t get carried away with the delete plate design. And to top it off it’s $110 cheaper than the bodyguard brand one I was going to get. I’ll be ordering mine next week!

Got2DeadLift does the dealership paint it or a body shop or what? I’d love to do this as well if I knew the paint would perfectly match.
Samantha Lee Usually body shops will paint it for you. On driver door there is a bar code that gives the code for exact manufacture car paint of your wrangler. Once it’s painted like your Jeep and installed it looks factory. You have an option to put the plate on it or not. I kept my plate on bumper to give the back a flush look. It’s well worth it. Makes wrangler sleek, elegant, more sporty sexy look. It shows the engineering of the entire back rather than that ugly tire !!

Great product! I just installed mine today! Everything went great, but do you no longer include the license plate lights? They were not included in mine?
So I have a question. I bought the powder coated for Jeep JL. I did not get the lighted license plate kit. But my kit came with two additional holes above the top two license plate holes. I’m not sure what those holes are for. I’m worried about rain and mud getting in there. Just trying to figure out what the additional holes are for. I don’t see them on the kit you demonstrated in this video and on the artec website, I don’t see the additional holes either.

Just fyi I just installed this on my 22 jlur and the camera doesn’t have to tabs like the one in the video
This video was made back in 2018, prior to the camera change in 2021, so that's why it looks different then what is on your 22. We revised this part when the camera change was made, which is why you have the two different camera brackets included with the part, but we are still editing the new video before it is released to the public. Thanks!

The Camera sticks out further, do you for see any issues with weather and trail damage?

question: there are comments on the artec site stating subtle differences between the 18-20 and 2021 brackets. Can you confirm or deny if there are differences and whether that will cause problems?
The camera is different on the 2021 models, Our current license plate delete kit will not work but we are finishing up a new camera mount bracket that will work for both Current and previous style cameras that should be out very soon .
A quick question. Is the main aluminum housing that bolts up to the actual door protected in any way so it does not scratch it? Would think the paint might get scratched over time when removed or do people just put some sort of thin protective layer?
I installed 1/8” 15/16” rubber washers on the inside of the bolt holes to protect the paint

What happens if the camera mount wouldn’t pop out? I tried so many ways. Used punch. Nothing worked. It seems as if it was glued to it. Need help

This video was helpful, as one thing the spare tire delete kit doesn't have is directions. I do wish he had gone over wiring the tags lights though. I haven't been able to find anything helpful in wiring the bolt lights on a JL. On videos with similar applications they seem to splice into the passenger side taillight. Is that the recommendation for this install as well?
