  • In this video, I show you affordable Jeep Mods that you can use to upgrade the look and feel of your Jeep JL or JT. Most of these mods will fit other Jeep Wranglers as well!
    Jeeps are arguably the most customizable vehicle on the market! No product would receive recommendation without at least 6 months of use and our opinion has not been bought giving you an honest look at some of these cheap, but reliable, modifications to your Wrangler. Though these items are considered a cheap mod for Jeep wranglers, we think they are quality accessories for the Jeep JL platform. We have plenty more upgrades and mods to go over and review but at least this will get you started!

    Great list of goodies. Off topic: Are those stock running boards or rock sliders? or?

    • @overlandzam
      @overlandzam  5 месяцев назад

      They are the upgraded stock rock sliders/running boards from Jeep. I don't recommend getting them. The idea with them is it provides a small lip to "assist" getting into the Jeep but honestly, it does not. It's not exactly wide enough to really stand on to get to the top of the Jeep, rocks get stuff in there, and it's too high to make it "easier" getting in. And at the cost of like $800+ there are much better options out there. We are looking at getting Rock Slide Engineering's Electric rock sliders as our upgrade-quite the cost but everyone we've met with them LOVE them.

      dead pedal insert seems a little dangerous ... if it comes loose ... it could get stuck between the break or gas pedal

    • @overlandzam
      @overlandzam  Год назад

      I'd say it's extremely unlikely for any dead pedal to come loose. If you are installing it correctly then there isn't really room for error as the weight being placed on it is forward rather that side to side (in the case of the bolts loosening). To say there is no risk is untrue but 0.01% risk is a risk. I've had it installed on my Jeep now for 20,000 miles and no issues/ has been very handy. So much so that I plan on installing one in my 2010 JK.

    Too many gaps in that sunshade. WeatherTech makes precise sunshades that fit perfectly and maximize all areas to block out light.

    • @overlandzam
      @overlandzam  5 месяцев назад +1

      No doubt that there are better products out there but after a lot of research and keeping a certain budget in mind, we found that these products were great for us at a price that works great for our wallet. I’ve used WeatherTech in the past for formats, and will say they are the most accurate fit for the laser fit they’re able to do but at 2x the cost for lack of gaps and a cool design- I’ll save that for something else 🤷🏻‍♂️

      After all the research and purchasing of multiple fob covers, that one was the thinnest, sleekest, and inexpensive one that is definitely worth the cost to protect the fob while only very slightly increasing the thickness. Short of replacing the fob casing with a pricy one, this is the best option I found. Or- forgo a cover entirely which wasn’t an option I went with 😂

Here is the link for them: amzn.to/41BOcqW and if you have the Rubicon model I suggest getting the Gen 2 Version of them if you like having the Molle feature on the back of your front seats.
