Went with the Grom for myself and SuperCub for my wife a couple years ago. Love both bikes! The aftermarket for the Grom is hands down its biggest advantage compared to others.
I went with the Grom. It has a tachometer, passenger foot pegs, biggest gas tank, lowest seat height, and price. If i got another minimoto it would probably be the super cub because of the wind/rain protection it has. But probably won't get another minimoto. Something with great gas mileage, low maintenance, that can go the speed limit on long trips is what im interested in.
I bought the white 2025 Grom ABS and love it. I have my eye on the Honda NX500 next.
Been waiting for a video like this!
I went with the Monkey and Trail. I like the dual sport aspect of those two minis over the others.
Nice video Kase! Honda has a great many ways to get people into riding. They have done it since the beginning. Manual clutch install, a nice upgrade on the Dax. It won’t be long before all the aftermarket parts start rolling in. Makes for fun upgrades to keep it interesting. The two custom Dax builds we saw at the Honda head quarters, cars and coffee, were very inspiring!
Why on earth didn't they make the dax available in a 5 speed manual?? I understand that they might have wanted a classic mini Moto for someone who can't ride a manual but still, make the option for both, it would have been so simple and so popular
I think my favorite is the Monkey. I wish the Dax would have stayed more true to the CT70 design, but I understand making it more street worthy. I can't stand the front fender hugging the tire! Maybe modding with a chrome fender raised like the Monkey front fender. Lots of mod opportunities for sure. Thanks for a great review... love these small bikes!
i thought the same thing, look up honda dax high front fender kit or something along those lines, between that and the fold down handlebars there isnt much id change about them, maybe the blinkers and such too
Thank you for this video! It has confirmed my opinion that I can't really decide because I find all three of them beautiful :-) My favorite would be a CT 125, but you can't get them in Europe. We have already petitioned Honda, unfortunately without success. Greetings from Germany!
of course you guys come out with this the day after i get my 2024 monkey lol, oh well i love it already anyways, had 20 miles yesterday when i got it and its got 40 today.
I think the Grom and Monkey compete with each other and the Trail and Cub compete with each other. The Dax is a bit in the middle with the smaller wheels like the Grom and the semi automatic like the Trail. I think you need to decide if you want the manual or semi automatic and then choose from what is in that group. For me I would choose the Trail and the Monkey. I do think the Dax should have had the high mounted front fender from the Monkey.
Dax 125. But like you said Kase, it needs a shifting kit.
I kind of like 'em all, haha!
The Monkey is the most attractive to me though. Cool video!
Good video i have a honda crf300 rally so i cant find myself buying one already doing 70mpg and can hit interstate speeds
I have a blue 21 monkey
1700 miles no issues.
It's been to Daytona bike week a few times. The blue ridge parkway. It's a hoot.
The way people come up and start a conversation starting with "I had something like that when I was a kid" I tell them that's why I bought it.
Now considering im 6.2 250 something gray beard tattooed. Guy who usually rides American V twins.
Just have fun
Any difference between the 3 in terms of ergonomics?
There’s definitely some slight differences but nothing that has stood out to me massively
torn between the dax/cub and the trail 125. although you could always play the "but for just a widdle more money you could get THIS 200-250 cc bike instead" so it's tough. I live in a more rural area and so these mini motos might not be fast enough to keep up with traffic. if i was in a big city i could see these mini bikes being a TON of fun.
What is the shift pattern on each?
It’s gotta be the Grom!
At those prices, I’m shopping the Kawasaki W230. But for nostalgia I’m going with the Dax as it’s similar to the Trail 70 I rode as a kid
I picked up a 23 Grom, stock except for a tail tidy because, hideous. It's a blast as a "just go" bike. Not fast, but it teaches patience and works all the skills.
Of the three, it would be the Dax, followed by the Monkey. CT70 as a youth, love the bike, but hate what Honda has done with pricing.
MSRPs alone don't seem bad, but with shipping, and associated fees, you're paying $5k for a 125.
Also, tons of other options are out there, for the price of one of these new. Both small motorcycles and large scooters.
On another note about minimotos, Honda CT125 sales would tank if the CSC Wolf 125 was ever put into distribution here.
We had here in CAN the Cbr125 which is superior in every way to all the models that you present and
there are plenty of them second hand for $1000.
CT125 for me. Practical and fun!
Monkey would be my choice, it is the best looking to me but any of these or the Trail 125 would be a great choice
I’d take the Dax.
what is honda waiting for to add a grom based sportbike. if they did they would not be able to keep them in stock
I like the Dax. None of them are great for a commuter if you have any highway.
I install the rear passenger pegs on my supercar. It did not come with those.
I would pick the Grom, because I already have the Dax ST 125 🤩
Where is the super cup in my opinion that one is superior to all of those mine has the rear rack and a 65 L locking waterproof box
Xr150
Xr150
Xr150!!!
I consider the grom and Navi in the same category. Cheap, plastic, built to a price point. The Monkey and Dax, more quality and nostalgia. The are more likely to keep value. I like metal over plastic so...Dax for me.
Dax has a cool frame but the color is gross as hell. It's like the designers thought "what color can we paint this important roll out that will ensure nobody wants to be seen on it?"

Your videos always leave a mark in my heart and mind. Thank you for your creativity and passion!💙😻😀
I found all the robots 🤖 in this comment section. The dax is pretty cool. I think my favorite of the mini Motos is the grom
😂😂😂 me too …
Well 4.2-4.4. k, you probably get more/ better bike for the money, but it’s kind of cult I guess and seems to be pure fun 👍🏻
The super cub is superior by far to all of these bikes
Woah, what's with all of the pronbots in the comments?
Personally, I'm a fan of the Honda Monkey. I've never actually heard of the Dax before. Is the Dax replacing the Navi?
I like the Honda Monkey and Honda DAX because they lack technology.
Real comment, not a bot
They are "NOT MINI" they are "MID" Size.....MINI is 65 cm and Less Seat Hight.

in asia there are 125 hondas that are only around $1500 out the door..... honda mini motos are overpriced...i think
IF MADE IN JAPAN.. YOUR PRICES ARE WORTHLESS NOW... THEY'LL GO UP IN PRICE..
YOUR PRESIDENT IS WORTHLESS
isee lots of used groms, not nearly as manymonkeys.
Just get a z125 pro it's cheaper and just as much fun
Why?
I don't get how they're on gen 3 and Honda still can't make a comfortable seat for the grom. Mind bogglingly stupid to me.
Your videos always bring me so much joy and inspiration. Thank you for your energy and willingness to share your talents with us!🥃🔸🌸
