This is a pretty good idea, but I like it out front so I can see people (and product) when I'm ordering. It's in a good spot for when I'm running cashier on the belt next to it!

the amount of yelling i've done at my screen, Trev is making this more complex than it needs to be
Trev. Get all of your products full in the stock room. Like 2 or 3 shelves per prodoct. then you can ONLY focus on refilling your stockroom. Your workers will refill the shelves themselves. Makes it easier to determine what you need to order when you can just take a look in the stockroom and see what youre short on. Also, put some shelves along the walls. They are bare lol

Loving this series. I recently rewatched your entire Gas Station Simulator series. Don’t know if you know Trev, but there was a big update to Gas Station Simulator a few months ago. I got it on PS5. The car wash is now operable, you can completely renovate the station, even move the cash register around. And now have an ice cream stand outside for customers. Just thought I’d share the 411. Would love to see what you would do with that!
Here's the hack for the storage room... Move your computer into the computer room. Then set up your inventory so that it matches your screen. (3 items across, then just work down through the list.) This will make re-ordering and managing your inventory soooooo much easier. Good luck!
You can scan the product barcode on the shelf to reorder. Stops you going back and forth to the computer and remembering what needs to be ordered. Loving watching this over breakfast here in Australia!!

@ComPLeX_Nugget potentially but I am watching another play through where they do it. Wouldn't be surprised if it is a mod. I know he uses a mod to allow more than 10 items on an order

You have to organize the product on your sales floor, so you can know whats out and learn the product on each aisle. Makes the task of ordering and knowing whats out easier

This game is sweet with the mirrored check out I wonder if you can place the registers back to back and maximize your space like the cashiers would be back to back
You can rotate the check out counters when you place them, with your mouse. Also you don’t have to order as much if you keep an eye on the inventory already in storage. You may be repeatedly ordering stock that’s already there, it’s just that poor George hasn’t gotten around to restocking it on the store floor yet. Tell him to cut down on his smoke breaks. 😉
Lol, never in my life have I seen such an unorganized shop, but I love it, lol. Playing this game myself atm, but it's not as much fun as watching you play

When it is 9:00 pm, flip the sign from open to closed. The people in the store will stay buying stuff, but it will not allow any new people in.
Turn the registers so the cashiers are facing the door. The customers will line up better. Move the cash registers closer to the door
Hey Trev. Loving this series. Couple of suggestions.
1) Don't necessarily need more lights, just move them so they are shining down on the aisle, rather than on the top of the shelves.
2) Rotate your checkouts 180, so customers queue down the length of the store.

I placed two cashiers on an angle to keep the line separate and walked through the middle. Placed the computer in the middle against the wall behind them. works great

TREV TREV TREV 😱 The absolute choas that you do in this game makes my head spin & anxiety spike. ANYWHO I started playing this after your first episode and I love it. I'm store level 59, have 4 stockers and 2 cashiers. My store is organized by products and have a wall full of cold items. Please organize your shelves and get cleaners away from food plus you have been missing out on buying every item from the market. Before throwing a box away hit C to see if anything is in it, a picture of the item will be on it if still full. You can sell items but they need to be emptied and hold down F to sell. I learned the hard way to move items that you have to fire the stockers because they'll keep filling that spot with what the tag says.
Now as you have 2 billing counters parallel, you can use the mirrored one and maybe remove the extra shelves you put in the first aisle & keep the counters perpendicular to the shelves. Use a whole freezer for chicken, and put fries and pizza in the same freezer.

Trev, center the lights in the middle of the isles instead of directly over the shelves. You’ll be able to see products better when it’s dark out.

I know you're probably opposed to mods, but there is a mod that displays your current stock of each item on the computer, so you know how much to buy. Probably one of the best quality of life mods you could have until they make that kind of change in the game itself.
Agree with this. The inventory mod on Nexus Mods has been a lifesaver for me. Only have to look at the ordering page to know what to buy now!
If you want more efficiency. Put you shelves closer to the entrances. That way the staff don’t have to walk that far.
Also bring the storage shelves close to the staircase

if you want to order stuff put it in the storage first so when you want to order again it shows you how many items you have in the storage so it doesn’t make a mess outside and the worker will straight away put the stuff in the storage when you order it

Put the original checkout station back the way you had it, but move it a little closer to the food shelves. Then place your new mirrored station in between the other one and the wall... to where you'll have both cashiers facing back to back. There should be enough space to do it, and your customer flow will be headed in the right direction as they checkout & leave.
this series has been surprisingly really entertaining, i hope the devs keep pushing out new content
There should be a training update or mod. Other sim games you pay to have your employees trained and they slowly improve. Great video.
I personally put a full shelf (so left and right) of each product so you have 2 sections of each then it’s a lot easier to maintain and keep stock of, plus put all cereal together all cleaning together etc, lot easier to manage

There is a mod for the game that shows you in 2 different colors on the computer what you have on the shelves and what you have in storage. It makes knowing what to order way easier and more efficient.
The shelves in the storage area keeps track of the inventory in stock (saw that in another playthrough), so in the morning check what you have then order before opening. Maybe order a lot of the items that seems to always run out?

maybe a quick tip! you can buy corner shelves, they dont take up to much space and itr is a great way to still havev some extra space

Definitely need a second cashier if you're going to be running back and forth and the looking for things to purchase, also when you're able to license more product maximize what you can so the stockers stay busy and not doubling shelfs
You can close your checkout .. this way the customers will go to the worker first and when it starts getting backed up reopen your checkout 🤙

Product that can fit little on the shelves should have more sections for it. So that it wont run out as fast. Like what you did with potato and toilet paper. Do the same for fries

You should place the light over the aisle not the shelves so you have better light when it gets dark. And you can move the computer to the stock room.

If you end up modding it please get the training program mod and the refill mod. It's very helpful for both the employees and ordering stock
