Man, the story of Anakin Skywalker is really tragic.
Well that’s what he wanted he had free will, and chose the darkside but at the end he was the chosen one no doubt
This guy really can't catch a break. He has worst luck than Peter Parker/Spiderman.
No, it's *I R O N I C*
TheUnthinkable I swear the more I learn about his story the more I feel sorry for him
It's not tragic his own stupidity put him in that situation. He was an arrogant self-absorbed brat. And you know what the Jedi hold quite a bit of that responsibility as well. There were actually several Jedi that were parents they had children they knew how to raise a child. Instead they gave that child to an inexperienced young man. That was their first mistake. The second mistake was mainly on Yoda because he had visions he was shown what was going to happen, he chose to ignore those visions. It's only after the complete destruction of the Jedi order that he realizes he made a mistake. Anakin could have gone to Yoda and said hey I saw a vision of my wife dying he could have told the truth. Everyone acts like Darth Vader and Anakin Skywalker two separate individuals and no they're not. He chose to become Darth Vader, he chose to butcher children. He spends all his time blaming everyone else for his problems.
To be honest, I don't blame Darth Vader for hating everyone considering how his life panned out. Slave to an alien, slave to a repressive Jedi system, slave to Palpatine.
It was only when his son, Luke, set him free did he finally find peace.
I blame Mace
@@littyagain7805 Yeah, I think we can all agree Mace was a bit of a self-righteous jerk.
He was a slave of finding something to love more than anything imo
Well the slave to palpatine part he did that to himself.
This puts new perspective on Vader when he said “I must obey my master” in ROTJ

Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”
Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Romans 5:8 “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
But God loved us so much that He sent His Son to die in our place as a substitutionary atonement for our sins. He is the only way to Heaven that God has provided. If you believe in Him, then you will be saved.
John 3:16-18 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”

IRONIC
I think that what's worse for Vader in his mind is not really the torture and pain Sidious is causing, he lives in pain everyday. It's humiliation and feeling vulnerable that Vader hates the most, and Sidious is doing exactly that
Vader getting force choked; never expected this from sidious. And wow. Vader reliving his experiences all over again on Mustafar. It's like picking up where he left off since Obi-Wan defeated him.
I'm sorry but I'm going to say this I hate emperor palpatine for what he is doing to Darth Vader. I'm glad Darth Vader got rid of him in return of the jedi.

The reason why Palpatine destroyed Vader so easily is because the version of Vader in this comic is Post ESB Vader, who was extremely conflicted due to him discovering Luke, getting rejected by Luke, and then finding out the full truth of Padme’s death (which is covered in the previous issues of the comic series).

Palpatine saved and rebuilt him during the birth of the Empire. Now he abandons and destroys Vader near the end of the Empire’s reign.
Also, this makes me hate Palpatine’s return even more because it has undermines Vader’s redemption and revenge. @@joseluis5055 the crystal wasn't testing his loyalty, the crystal was trying to get Anakin back on track. I don't really see how Palpatine is more powerful than Vader tbh, maybe in Legends were he lost some connection with the force after his defeat in Mustafar, but Canon Vader was fueled by that incident and become greater than what Anakin was, not better than full potential Anakin, but enough to be the most powerful entity in the universe.
@@ElCabra91 I don't think so, Mustafar is a darkside planet, why would he receive a vision to return to the light? It was a test, he either returned to the light (which would be seen as a failure because he doesn't resist the temptation) , or he chose the dark side. That's my take its not really all that clear it leaves it to interpretation
I miss when Palpy came across as being in a mutual relationship with Vader; actually referring to him as "old friend" and such. They seemed to benefit from one another during the Empire's reign. Only Luke's near-death could drive Vader to break that bond with Palpy.
All these recent comics make it seem less believable that Vader was willing to serve Palps for decades. If he's been going through all this pain by Palps' hand, why _wouldn't_ he betray him to save his son then?
They were never in a mutual relationship. RotJ showed Palpatine only concerned with eliminating his enemies and getting the best apprentice he could get. The moment Vader gets off the operating table, Palpatine disciplines him and threatens to kill him if he ever attacks him again. This very quickly establishes the pecking order, with Palpatine as the master and Vader being subservient to his every command.
The Sith are inherently selfish and don't care about anyone but themselves. After Mustafar, he only ever saw Vader as a tool and would trade-up at any opportunity he got. Vader wanted to betray him, but says in RotJ he must obey Palpatine because of the difference in their strength.
That's the point tho. In ROTJ Vader says that he must obey his master to Luke. This comic explains why

Man I’m not so sure about this. One of the things I liked about the prequels and old legends was that Palpatine still held the respect of Vader and wasn’t cartoonishly evil towards him. Palpatine abided by some sort of moral code, albeit an incredibly twisted one.
He still was a Sith and stood by the rule of two and was willing to replace him, but that was just a part of the code and not his own absurd torture methods. The replacement method and instinct to kill the weaker Sith wasn’t overly personal in nature. It was a method of passing on the Sith tradition that was understood by the apprentice when he signed on.
What palpatine does in this issue is just ridiculous. It’s overly personal and void of any Sith tradition or methods. It leaves no room for Vader to ever want to work with him again. It’s too far and makes their relationship much less believable.
But this scene explains why Vader couldn't challenge Palpatine in episode 6. The guy literally used the force to crush his cybernetic arms and limbs
Nothing in this is unbelievable and nothing Palpatine does is personal. The Sith have no moral code and are only concerned with the Rule of Two and using whatever methods they could to gain more strength. Palpatine only ever cared about having the strongest apprentice he could get and he wanted Vader to be as powerful as possible. He constantly tested Vader and probed him for weakness, and Vader did the same. They followed the destructive tenets of the Sith to a fault. And let's not act like this is anything new for Palpatine. We see him torture Maul and discipline Dooku in TCW.
Look man I like legends as well but I’m loving this take on Palpatines and Vader’s relationship
@@thewarner2139 and Sidious also wanted to keep Vader under his control. After realizing that Padme had given him a son, Vader relized that Luke Skywalker was a potential future for him, escaping from Palpatine's control and live freely. Palpatine knew what Vader thought so he wanted to remind Vader, who has the power in their relationship and show that Vader had no chance to escape from Palpatine.
I do partially after with you, it does seem kinda over the top for him to rip his limbs off and such. I feel like with palpatine mentioning padme it would have empowered Vader a little more, giving him more hatred and thus more power, maybe even enough to resist palpatine to the point that palpatine would be happy with the strength Vader displayed. But ultimately this arc will likely end in Vader being stronger at the end than he is here so that's the part I'm going to try and focus on since again I agree this is kinda over the top.
This comic is not an end to a storyline, as clearly there is more to come with the introduction of that Sith assassin. It's simply another "lesson" that Sidious is teaching to Vader because Sidious can see that the light is starting to creep back into Vader ("you're not so far gone you forget to defend yourself"), and obviously he wants to stop that. Pain, anger and hate has always been instruments of the dark side and this is exactly what Sidious intends for Vader.
Which will ultimately happen at the end of this series. Vader will come back stronger.

I was disappointed the way they turned Vader from a cunning mastermind in ESB to an isolated pawn in ROTJ, but after this it makes sense. His son became his weakness, hindering his connection to the dark side and depowering him to the point where he could never challenge Sidious. He knew he was on borrowed time, that's why he told Luke that it was 'too late' for him, and Sidious only kept him alive until Luke was ready to replace him.
Please tell me Vader hurts Palpatine badly before RTJ,like beats him up after he confronts him later.

@@honestmaster1932 he’s actually not even 20% weaker anymore that’s old canon he’s actually more powerful in both the force and lightsaber combat now
@@7632ios Sidious is not too fast for Vader. In canon Vader moved faster than Sidious and intercept his lightsaber strike. Stop to be a fan boy, in lightsaber strength Vader is said to be stronger than Sidious Canon fact
@@7632ios who’s Anaheim like the city? Dude ur just a palpatine fanboy that gets mad when he’s proven wrong by canonical statements
Vader not only hates himself for what he became and what he did but he truly hates Sidious
Palpatine is a jerk :(
How evil is he compared to Thanos or Darkseid. ???. Just asking your opinion.
@@RAJKUMAR-yw5vi “perfectly balanced as all things should be” technically thanos isn’t necessarily pure evil he’s just selfish and does what he wants
I just realize how conflicted was vader when fighting luke
Vader was initially conflicted when he and Luke spoke on Endor, but managed to suppress Anakin's emotions during the duel. He had resolved himself to destroy Luke or convert him. It wasn't until he witnessed Palpatine torturing his son that Anakin was able to reappear and break the hold of the dark side.
@Sun Wu-Entai 90 Vader was aggressive. Luke was simply able to match him in their rematch, as stated in Jedi vs Sith 2016, they were complete equals in all respects.
They should turned this into a Vader movie
YES PLEASE
That is way too much to ask for. Closest thing we get to that is fan films.
it would be hard to watch seeing vader scream in pain struggling to breath as Palpatine crushing his arms and legs with the force
@@JesusChrist-bq6lu imagine an R rated vader movie
Or even if it was a live action show on Disney plus these comic stories are better than anything we got in this sequel trilogy
Yes another lesson, Vader needed a reminder that I am the sith. I am the dark lord that pulls the strings. Not him. If he tries to overthrow me I will destroy him.
Ochi is the one who murdered Rey’s parents right?
Yes.
We think back to all the times both Anakin and Vader powered through insurmountable odds throughout sheer willpower, and despite all of his feats, he ultimately is still powerless against Sidious *so long as he clings on to his hate* When he finally grabbed Sidious to protect his son, he finally threw of the emotional chain of anger and contempt that had repressed him since he was first enslaved. He became a true Jedi for the first time in that moment, and it was then, that Sidious was powerless against him.
Brutal. Nice!
Those 2 guards should be given legendary status since they made it through a fight with Vader.
They made it because Palpatine choked Vader. Had he sat back and laughed, Vader would've killed them and Mas Amedda
@@brandonmedina494 Yes they had help but they survived nonetheless. Not a lot of guards or stormtroopers can claim that.
So this is what all vader fangirls forgot right? 🤣
Just realized that Anakin has been a slave his entire life he went from having a master when he was a child to have a master when he was a Jedi so now he has a master when he's a sith. He's never been his own person.
Palpatine, the ultimate gaslighter.
Vader wasn't even defending himself when Palpatine attacked him he didn't beat Vader
I feel so sorry for my boy Vader going through all that ..... no matter what he does he always looked at as a tool and never gets any respect from Sidious now he drops him bk at Mustafar and just leaves him there ....smh
When people run out of ideas for a comic book they just tread over the same ground over and over.
This undo’s the end of Return of the Jedi.
It always felt to easy how Vader threw the Emperor down the shaft, but seeing how the Emperor owned Vader, how much power he really had over him, how much lightning pained Vader, how easy his limbs were destroyed, then it becomes hilarious.
I wish vader's triumph over Sidious was more epic than in ROTJ... like if he used the Force or something like that it would have been much more satisfying knowing how Palpatine was so abusive to Vader.
I hope vader will get the momment
to show sidious that he is not just a puppet, like that one after rots
IT’S EVEN FUNNIER THE SECOND TIME
*This was hard to watch...*
I LOVE SIDIOUS he basically teaching vador put your self first
Why cant they produce these comics faster!? 🖕🤬🖕
The sadism and savagery of palpatine is incredible he returns Vader to mustafar to burn 🔥 him Jesus but I still don’t feel sorry for him he chose this!!
When Darth sidious was choking Lord Vader with the force. Lord Vader was really saying. Yes harder harder harder. Palpatine then says. I'm doing this to torture you not get you off you purvert. Lol
hahaha
@@iheartmoms07 thank you I'm here all week
Not only does this show the light and compassion for his son within Anakin, it shows the bravery Vader (now Anakin) displayed by betraying and killing his master.

@@epicmars6677 I really need to talk to you
The price of being chosen is a life of tragedy
Say what you want about Palpatine, but he beat Anakin's sense of entitlement out of him. Something the jedi failed to do
Nice to know that the emperor considers anakins right robotic arm a non robotic part of him
Video: Vader gets burned alive on Mustafar
Me: Again?
The BDSM relationship those two have is getting ridiculous.
I don't like seeing the most prominent Jedi killer there ever was this way - no one should be able to thrash Vader this badly, not even Sidious. It serves a function to the story, I know, but it's a status fall that's just unworthy of one of the most imposing and awe-inspiring villains ever created.
Okay... so.. I think that put to rest the idea that Vader is in anyway more powerful than Sidious. Sidious just utterly manhandled him here.
@John permeswar But then he too dies of force lightning after trying after he kills Sidious. But this probably is because he let of his hate and just wanted to pass away.
Palpatine is a jerk he knows how to piss off darth vader but he knows vader can't do anything about it. Palpatine does this to torture vader. This shows that palpatine could care less about vader and replace him anytime he wants
If I was Vader I would have thrown myself into the lava pit and ended the madness!!
the emperor also didnt train vader properly either. completely ignoring the rule of 2. everything the emperor did was for himself and the goal of living and ruling forever. trained vader only enough to be of use but not to fully bring out anakin potential. basically crumbs
As a true Vader fan, I love the attention this guy gives Vader in his videos
I kind of like the karma Sidious shows to Vader when he chokes him and not the other way around, but damn, leaving him on Mustafar to die *again?* That’s pretty cold, even for Sidious.
Nope, not cold at all for Sidious.
Rather more like normal.
In the novel "Star Wars: Return Of The Jedi" Sidious was described as *Evil Itself* , when he shoots lighting into the Luke and tortured him.
And in legends Palpatine even killed his own family.
Nice and all, but you just described yourself in the third person, you okay Sheev?
@@acrazysheepdog1555
That's because real *I* broke the Fourth Wall, and I'm now in this realm on RUclips.
And I told you about me from the movies and novel.
I honestly rooted for Sidious during this whole thing lmao
This is insane if it were live action
Has anyone else realised that in all the movies except for return of the Jedi that only Vader’s right micanical arm remains
Remands?

"It is....too late for me my son"
Proves that vader has the highest durability in Star Wars
