Funny, My neighbor, friend, and cousin, all have this gen Escape. None of them have the 5 speed, but these are pretty cool. Don't see these with the 5 speed very much, it's always the 6 speed auto, or for 2008, the 4 speed with the older 2.3.
Mazda 3 or 6 had the Ford duratec 3.0 v6 with a manual transmission. Could probably use that trans for a swap on a v6 escape. It’s a Mazda made transmission tho I believe

V6 manual Escapes were never a thing. 4 cyl base models only.
