This Buenos Aires show was on the decades tour, where they played a lot of older songs. This song is from the 2nd album, Oceanborn in 1998 before Marko joined. Originally sung by Tarja with guest male vocals by Tapio Wilska, and Sami Vanska on bass. Another song from this show to try is I Want My Tears Back. You'll get to see multi instrumentalist Troy Donockley (from UK), and Floor dancing all over the stage.

I saw them in Birmingham a couple of weeks ago and they are outstanding live.
Not only do you get the music and talent, amazing lightshow and the charisma of Floor you also get to feel and smell the pyros and you whole body get's to absorb the whole expirience.
After having the tickets for three years I was in a strange out of body state when I realised I was actually there in the same room as Nightwish (along with a few others ;) )
The whole thing was incredible and a huge release after waiting so long with nothing but youtube videos to keep me going.
Seing Nightwish live is an expirience that should be expirienced by all fans, only trouble is once isn't enough... I NEED to see them again...and again....
NightWish Army Wisconsin Chapter here. NightWish is definitely growing in US, so tickets are not impossible YET. Never here very long, maybe 9 dates or a few more every couple of years. Definitely keep up with them for a chance at a ticket when they do come. I was lucky enough to see them in Minneapolis this year, a 5 hour drive from wisconsin, but we’ll worth it!

Floor here breathing new life in to a Nightwish classic, a number of them in fact at this phenomenal concert that pre-dates her time with the band and up there with their best live shows in my humble opinion. I am fortunate to live in Los Angeles, CA and saw Nightwish Live in May 2022. I bought tickets well in advance. The venue was moved from the Palladium to the Wiltern which is half the size and you could still get tickets right up to the show night. My point being as popular as they are internationally, their following in the states is still minuscule compared to the rest of the world. Sad but true.

I assume (never been to the land of Freedom) that they play utter shite on radio, so most people don't get a natural, effortless exposure to good music and don't know what to look for. Also, the USA seems to be quite culturally sheltered from the rest of the world, despite the fact that people from all over the world come there. Weird.

The vast majority of the population seem to be happy as clams to whatever they listen to .. more impressed with makeup and could care less if someone is autotuned. The scary thing is that I have watched a Brit duo reacting to videos and they can be a dumb as rocks .. so it's not just here in the US. An American couple reacting to Barbara Streisand were shocked to find that the actor from "Meet the Fockers" could sing. It is sad and depressing. Sigh.

“Seven Days to the Wolves”, Wembley, is my favorite performance, as Floor literally almost comes off the stage. I wait in anticipation every time. As everyone knows the song you are listening to currently is suspended into your favorite as every one is exceptional. Song of Myself is my all time favorite song to hear. Gr8est Show on Earth, Poet & Pendulum are masterpieces, but 7 Days to the Wolves is the most fun favorite for me. Of course MANY MORE specials. Ask me again, I will say anther..... like Romanticide, or Yours is an Empty Hope. 🤘💥😉

Before their drummer Kai Hahto joined in Nightwish in August 2014, he played in a grind band called Rotten Sound, after that he joined in a death/doom band Swallow The Sun in 2009. Kai teaches drumming at Kuula Institute in Vaasa and gives private lessons especially in the ergonomics of playing

I love this song. They are great story tellers and their skills are incredable. Marco has a GREAT voice. He can sing like this, or even more heavy but he can also sing folk songs with a beautiful warm voice. a melting vice. If you want to hear more from Marco please listen to the Islander, live in Tampere and to the Nightwish tribute to Pink Floyd: High hopes. He completely sings these songs while playing his base (double neck) like crazy. You will definatly love it. Happy you are enjoying the ride!

This song i believe is off one of Nightwish's original albums. Its definitely a classic for them. If I recall the original had 2 male singers. But Floor's rendition on it is quite good. making both versions practically two completely different songs.

Hi James, great reaction, I don't know if you know, but Floor was diagnosed last month with breast cancer but she already had an operation, she even returned to the shows this month on the European tour, on the last 20th she barely made it to the end of the song Sleeping Sun. finished singing and started crying, and so did I, she is still recovering emotionally but soon our Queen will be 100%, a hug from Brazil.
Finding these a year after you did them and working through your NW reactions. Love them so far, especially the order you’re going in. First 3 are all heavy as hell and they rule
Loved it JWB! I think you may enjoy "Song of Myself" live from Wacken 2013. Have you heard Marko sing "Anger Passion Greed" from Dark passion Play? No live version on this one. It may be the angriest composition from Tuomas ever. Only Marko could sing this one with the proper attitude and vocal grit.

Tuomas is 3 syllables with the emphasis on the first syllable. TOO-oh-mas is pretty much how it's sounded out. Dude is a freakin' legend.
I always said it like that in my head, but heard somewhere it was pronounced as "thomas". Glad I was right the first time haha That man is a true talent!

He'll definitely enjoy Master Passion Greed, but he should do the research behind that and The Poet and the Pendulum before getting to Master Passion Greed, because it will play a lot into what he's hearing.
"Master" is brilliant. Heavy AF by Nightwish standards, but still very melodic and coherent. The vocals and the lyrics are not the strongest part of it, but with this kind of music (what is it - melodic thrash metal?) you can't really sing over all the "noise" anyway, you can only scream or growl. I wish they would rewrite the lyrics or just leave them out completely and play it live as an instrumental - because it kicks arse.

It's sort of an operetta in a metal arrangement. I like that Tuomas kept the music *relatively simple, not trying to go prog and fit 666 key changes into 5 minutes. Sometimes less is more. The album version is kinda meh, this one, with Marco and the Goddess on vocals, kicks arse.

Sorry, this song would never be played in any concert, I believe. Without Marko it doesn't work, as so many songs, where he had a big part near Floor. This is history! We all very sorry about his decision to leave the band for his health and his family. But - that's life...
