Seen NIGHTWISH May 12th in Chicago small venue about 3,200 people no pyros and it was still the best concert I've been to in my 57 years and I have seen over 500
The Spell is Cast and "The Note" was heard !!! There is something magical about Floor's voice, She is, after all, "The Valkyrie Goddess". I have experienced Nightwish Live in this summer, and Nothing, absolutely NOTHING can get close to Floor's Live Power, Charisma, beauty and warmth 🤘🥲🤘!!!! NWSU .
I was at Wembley in November and they performed this song and it is just a massive song in a very literal sense, that end note she sings could be felt across the other side of London, let alone heard, the power she has cannot be over stated
This was the one that hooked me on Floor and Nightwish. I quit trying to figure out a long time ago what can Floor not do vocally, because she has me completely convinced she can do anything, beautifully. Now I just wait to hear what she will sing for me next, because I am gonna love it. I have never fanboyed over any artist before like Floor. Nightwish as a whole are next level. Loving the reactions.
This song didn't require a shredding solo with a million notes, what he played was melodic and tasteful. It embellished the song perfectly and most of all, it's a solo you can hum and easily remember. Great note choices too, well done.
Little story about how they started working with Pip Williams when they made the Once (2004) album. Ghost Love Score can be found on the album. Here's a clip from their book: ---------------------- From the very start, Tuomas had a strong feeling that Once had to have an orchestra, come what ever may. After finishing the recording of backing tracks, the process continued in London with the legendary producer Pip Williams at the helm. Known for his work for the likes Status Quo and Uriah Heep, Williams was responsible for the orchestrations on the album. When the Nightwish guys heard what orchestra they would be working with, their jaws hit the floor. "As Ewo and I traveled to London at the end of November to meet Pip Williams, we had no clue about the orchestra he'd gotten for us", Tuomas says. "The only thing we knew was that Williams himself would do the arrangements and that through his connections, he would hook us up with an orchestra and a choir. The first time we visited Phoenix Sound Studio, Rick Wakeman (the keyboard player of the legendary progressive rock band Yes) opened the door for us. That's when we realized we're onto something big. As we were having coffee in the studio, Pip dropped the bomb: the orchestra in question had played on The Lord of the Rings, as well as on many other Hollywood soundtracks - all recorded in this studio!" It seems that Pip Williams wanted only the best for a band he held in great respect. "I have followed the band for some time, and it's been interesting to see how they have developed. Of course Rock bands like Deep Purple have previously used orchestras, but I really feel that Nightwish have combined the best of both worlds most successfully. They are a classic Metal band with strong classical and movie-score influences in their music." "It was important for me that it would not be just about over-dubbing a few orchestral parts on top of a Rock band", Williams continues. "Tuomas' compositions were brilliant also in the sense that choir and orchestra could be added naturally, so that they don't sound pretentious or contrived. This is of utmost importance. The songs must be structured so as to allow the orchestra enough space. In the end, the results were quite emotive. Also, let us not forget just how good all the musicians in Nightwish are. They are perfectly sympathetic to Tuomas' vision. And Tarja's (1st lead singer) wonderful voice has done the songs great justice." Williams knew his orchestra well. "I have worked with most of the players on different sessions for many years. Gavin Wright is a sensitive and authoritative orchestra leader, and together with Isobel Griffiths, the orchestral contractor, we were able to secure just the right musicians for each song. Anthony Pleeth, who has the lead cellist and played solo cello on 'Kuolema tekee taiteilijan', is one such example. These guys have done many, many big movie scores, as have the wonderful Metro Voices choir, and I thought this project required the kind of grandiose performance one would find on movie soundtracks by, say, Howard Shore." Tuomas could not have been more excited about the situation. "Using the orchestra was an earthshaking experience. I only had to lie on the studio couch for two days, listening to these amazingly talented people. During the first takes, someone said into the mike, 'Are these guys really serious?'. When we began 'Ghost Love Score', a positive kind of bewilderment took over the orchestra. That, as well as 'Dark Chest of Wonders', were the first ones we recorded." Williams was equally happy with his orchestra. "These musicians are such brilliant sight readers that it wasn't necessary to do more than a couple of rehearsals. Then we'd have a take or two of each song. It all went very smoothly. After the takes, I would check that Tuomas was happy, and then we would move on. If there was anything he wanted changed, it would be dealt with in a very short time. I must say, however, that we had prepared very well - I had been constantly on the phone with Tuomas when I was writing the arrangements. Yes, I ended up making a huge phone bill! But the groundwork paid off, as only a few small alterations were necessary." Tuomas and Pip Williams immediately hit it off on a personal level. "Tuomas is sensitive, caring, very observant - he's what the English call a musical sponge", Williams commends. "It means he is always willing to try new ideas and absorbs the musical influences around him like a sponge. Tuomas always wants to learn more about music, its origins and sound. He has very firm ideas of what he is trying to achieve, but he also leaves space for those working with him to express themselves. He is humble, appreciative and approachable, one of the most talented musicians or composers I have ever worked with. I really think he would make an original and effective movie score composer, and I definetely want to collaborate with Tuomas again in the future - in fact, we're already talking about the next venture. I would also love to collaborate with him on a movie score at some point." "Many times the players would come into the control room afterwards to listen to the takes, and according to Pip, that's something that doesn't happen very often," Tuomas says. "They're usually not that interested - they just do their job and leave, but now they actually listened to the songs. At the end of the last day, as I went down to thank the orchestra, they started applauding, standing up from their seats. It was one of those great moments in life." According to Williams, a Pop or Rock artist rarely receives a standing ovation. "The musicians respected the quality of the songs and the challenge of playing such intricate and well structured music. You must remember that these guys also do simple pop sessions, songs that are very easy to play. With Nightwish, they were able to play stuff that was often as demanding as many of the classical pieces they had trained on. This was so much more than just simple 3-chord songs in 4/4 time. And let's not forget that they also had great respect for people that were prepared to take such a huge musical and financial risk, all for the sake of art! Remember, these were very expensive sessions. I'm very satisfied with my own reward for the arrangements, too." "There is alwas a degree of compromise when mixing a Metal band with a large orchestra, as it's such a huge sound, but all in all, I'm really pleased with the end result", Pip reflects. "The main thing is that we have established a great identity with Nightwish and the orchestra, and our cooperation could be even better in the future. Seriously, Once is one of the most enjoyable projects in my career, and I've done this for 35 years!"
Hello ValtteL! What a interesting view behind the scenes. It is so nice to learn things about NW from the early days as I only got to know them in 2019. All the info gives me more understanding how the band evolved over the years. Thank you so much for sharing! Greetings from The Netherlands!
I just saw her in Amsterdam shortly after she had surgery for breast cancer and she sounded every bit as good as she does here. She’s such a badass. It was an incredible show, but I still found I missed Marko’s voice. I wish them all the very best.
This could possibly be Floor's best night as a vocalist , i know she's had incredible shows with After Forever and Revamp but there's something magical about this wacken show , she was really on her A GAME ......the whole band was , of course but Floor performance is one of the All Time greats .
Yes. Last August show, which I witnessed, was a little bit untoned by Floor, but I will blame that to the long-term sickness, she gladly found out in time 😊
Consider that this was song #13 in a 15 song set, and they brought it for every song. Yes, they don't overplay. they all play what is needed for the song.
now in their live shows Europe 2022, this song and actually all their repertoire is still top quality, no decay in the band and Floor's voice has gotten even better. I was at their performance in Antwerp and I am still shaking with emotions🎶🎶🤟🏻🤟🏻
@@dieseldog00 it was sleeping sun not nemo, but who cares what song it was, Floor is a strong and professional artist. In Belgium we have an expression "hats off" for such a strong lady🎶🎶🤟🏻🤟🏻
It was this very performance that ensnared me. I was first introduced to NW by a female friend back in 2003 and even though I found them intriguing, I wasn't enamored with Tarja's voice. Not being big on operatic vocals, 2 or 3 songs in a row being my limit, I never really got into them. Fast forward to Autumn 2013 and I'm browsing RUclips and this popped up on my recommendations list. From the thumbnail I could tell it wasn't Tarja and curiosity won and I chose to watch it. Best decision ever! Had chills, teary eyes and goosebumps throughout the performance. Been hooked ever since and I finally got to see them live at Wembley last month. Stay safe 🤘 ✌️
Very simular Story for me. Not sure if it was only Tarjas voice, or if i wasn't ready for metal at this time. But the first time i discovered them must have been somewhere around the year 2000. But after i rediscovered them back in 2018 or 2019 it was my entrance to the wonderful world of metal. And i am will to see them this we.
Oh, my favourite thing: watch reactions on NW. With Floor the group got some new spark in, imho. Hopely could see em once again live. Have listened them since the beginning, well... im from Finland so... XD
Saw them back in May and she and they sound just as good. The show was mezmeizing and afterward I walked back to my car closed the door and had a moment to myself and just wept. ....... Thats how good they were. Also I am a 50 yo male, so theres that.
Just wait until you get to Dead Boy's Poem from Buenos Aires 2018, 7 Days to the Wolves from Wembley 2015, Song of Myself from this show and top of my list The Poet and the Pendulum from Wembley 2015...
I know that Nightwish is and has always been the complete package and not just an individual but I still think that Floor has taken them to another level with her versatility and story telling ability. At last Tuomas has his true muse. Having seen what songs that you have reacted to already, try Song Of Myself at this concert or I want My Tears Back at Buenos Aries 2018/19 where you meet the sixth band member, the multi instrumentalist Troy Donockley from England.
I have seen them only 6 times and last 2 with floor. Anyway, only disappointmet was in Tampere Sauna Open Air 2009, where my friends wanted to leave early, even if they actually came to Finland from Italy and Spain to see a Nightwish show. I personally would have been glad to stay until the end of the show, but they just couldn't stand Anette live😕 Oh well, at least we got to see Mötley Crüe on previous day and some other groups...
This is the song that made me fall in love with Floor's voice and made me truly dive into Nightwish's songs. I remember getting goosebumps and crying at the end. It's been 4 years since then and they're my favourite band now. I've seen them live twice, both at Wembley, one of them being last month's concert. There are moments from it I'll never forget. Crying during Sleeping Sun, Ghost Love Score, How's the Heart? and Shoemaker to name a few. They truly are a live band.
Fun fact Floor have her own youtubechannel with a lot of amacing cowers And the guy behind the music is...... Tommy Johansson The connection is Sabaton
My first NW concert was yesterday in Gliwice, Poland, and it was pretty awesome... I was singing along with them whole concert and rocking hard even though I was sitting under the roof of the arena. Floor is a goddess living in between us, humans. Thanks for your reactions, and enjoy your NW journey. Greetings from Czech Republic
Standing solid as a World Pillar around which the planet revolves, Floor hits "The Note," the crowd loses their shit, the band tears a hole in the fabric of Space-Time, and 82,000 people will never, ever be the same again.
I saw them in a small venue in 2018, The Egg in Albany, NY. The acoustics were excellent and there isn't a bad seat in the place! I felt like I was in a trance. When the over 90 minute show was over, I was thinking "What? That's it? NO! They sounded fantastic, as usual!
I was there too and I can't wait to see them again. I saw NW & Floor solo on PinkPop and will see Floor again solo in April and June. (Utrecht & Royal Park Live)
What I generally like about Nightwish is that not the individual band member is the star of the show, but the music as a total work of art.Everyone subordinates themselves to this and that makes Nightwish so incredibly special in the brutal music business.
Out F..ki.g standing, learned an new Phrase, thx for that:) Many Things will already be said, just great you digged that, and not for the Views or Clicks, i for me felt the Joy that did bring to you. And thats i think why most of us are here, we know the Songs by the humming of the Stagemonitors, which comes next, we want to see someone really get touched, and what they have to say:) You did great in that Measures for sure in my Eyes:) Seeing the EsB Pic in the back, just imagine standing on the Bridge of the SSD Executor, and then Admiral Jannsen steps forward black Commandsquad Uniform, look into your Soul from above( shes 6 Foot 2 without Heels:D) and tells you in Her Voice" The Force will be with you. Always." Boy, what an Treat;) Stay Healthy NWA Bavaria North
@@jameswolfblood Absolute. been to 2 festivals this Year, great Performances. Sadly, had to call it quits to their actual Tour in Halls over here in Germany. But ive got many buddies sharing handy Vids, if you wann actual peek how the go, just séarch the web for the last month, spare yourself the ugly Soundtech from Hamburg and have fun;)
This band checks their egos at the back stage door. Everything is done for the song. Loved it JWB. This was the exact performance that first introduced me to this amazing band. I was hooked y Floor's unbelievable vocal performance. You have so much more to discover about this band and Floor's versatility of vocal colors and stylings. And then there is Marko! Hope to see you again very soon my friend. Be well.
Greetings and soon Happy New Year from Finland! 😁This is the first reaction of yours that I've watched - immediately spotted the 'Swallow the Sun'-shirt, representing! Love it! I especially enjoyed the fact that you reacted plenty but didn't feel the need to pause too often, saving a thorough analysis of the performance till the end. There are many who pause a few times too many, to analyze on-the-spot as if they fear they will lose whatever idea they had by the end of it, if you know what I mean? One would think they could always go back and re-listen before the final 'statement', what with RUclips and video editing, IF they forgot something they wanted to point out. There's plenty to unpack, and no single reactor could be expected to hit every "checkmark" at once, heh. I might have to see which other Nightwish songs you've already reacted to, and have a lookie through the rest of your content to be fair, as well. ^^ Kudos for this one! Keep up the good work!
Thank you kindly! Means a lot. I try my best not to pause too much. I know how annoying it can get when its paused every 30 seconds haha OH! STS is easily one of my fav bands! You lovely folks from Finland have some of the BEST metal on the planet! \m/
I have been at a Nightwish Concert for the first time after being a longtime Fan (on/off) They and HIM were my first step into Metal. I just love Tuomas Way of giving his Songs so much Emotions and the Power in her Voice. The Symphony of that Orchestra is just ...Every Form most Beautiful
🤩👌💥💯 "Hey, Hey, Hey, Heey!" (+some of her arm movement) = Proper crowd control moment captured! Cool reaction män and nice to see your into them. Keep on rockin with this magical band! 🤘😎 🇫🇮 💙
This is actually the song that started my journey down the rabbit hole. I had heard them many years ago, and loved the music, but Tarja just didn’t appeal to me. I missed Annette completely. Then during the pandemic I was watching some reaction videos and this was one of them. I’ve been a huge fan since. Floor is a gift. The band is amazing. No 2 songs are alike. This one is special.
This was everything that I want in a reaction. You allowed the music to play long enough before pausing. Then you gave brief but well observed and concise observations before rewinding slightly and then carrying on. It was nice that you recognised the role that Empu plays in the band. The guy can shred with the best of them as he shows in “Romanticide” but always plays what the song requires rather than showing off. A lot of what Empu does goes under the radar but he is such a vital part of the Nightwish sound. An excellent reaction. Liked and subscribed.
Please....Like your Natural Reaction very much!!!!!...please react to " the greatest Show on earth" and Let us again Dive together in this phenomenal music...🤟🙏❣️
Imagine being Tuomas, who's writing 95% of their songs - suddenly realizing, that he will never ever have any kind of limitations in his writing. Floor will literally blow him away no matter what his brilliant mind will come up with. Let's just say that a few of his later compositions managed to challenge Floor - shortly - but only shortly. Troy calls her voice for Stratospheric - and that's pretty close... Great reaction from you 👍 🤘 🤘 - and now you have really opened the door - look out for the full force that just might hit you in one of the next songs... 😉
Great reaction, new sub! Saw Nightwish in Minneapolis this past year, just as amazing in an intimate venue compared to the festivals, but Nightwish played like it was in front of 100K, that's why I appreciate them...I've heard the same sentiments many times about the guitar solos, they just "fit" and not made to show off, love it, enjoyed your reaction!
Great reaction James. You might want to watch this one too, as you're a vocalist yourself. In this video, Floor Jansen herself is giving us her insights and experiences about this song, coming from a singers piont of view. Here's the link: ruclips.net/user/results?search_query=floor+reacts+to+ghost+love+score
Finally a reactor who does not say WOW! repeatedly, but actually has something to say with some some substance. Fantastic reaction! SUBSCRIBE button clicked.
Always an amusing experience to witness someone's first reaction to GLS Wacken 2013. GLS is like a perfect showcase of what this amazingly talented people can do. Keep digging the rabbit hole! Cheers from Buenos Aires!!! PS: as for heart felt solos wait for "Dead boy's poem" live from Buenos Aires 2018, another amazing masterpiece of a song.
‘Like her voice came down from the heavens’, YES, we know! 😄 Just seen them live in Amsterdam and Vienna, it was an epic experience❣️ Subscribed to follow your Floor/Nightwish journey.
Hi Nikki! The documentaries are great, and it would be a good idea! However, remember that we have an entire album between all the shows we saw and the new one in September! We haven't had any reactions to any of its songs yet. And there are excellent concerts in between too, if we keep things 'live', as we always recommend here. Not to watch in its entirety, I mean. One song or another would do.. Anyway, we'll be here for the next one! Looking forward to it!
When you sing this song for about the 500th time...(along with Floor) your bursts will be clean...I'm not a trained singer but I slay this song...but can't always open up enough for the final note! Still practicing... I'm so.excited for your Nightwish journey!! Subbed.
@@jameswolfblood I promise, your bursts will get tight and sharp! You're gonna be playing the song for everyone you know...then you'll get to have our experience of watching someone else discover the magic...
Definitely see them live! I was lucky enough to see them in May and it was the best show I have ever seen. To hear Floor live is something to behold, not to mention the rest of the band. It's an experience not to be missed! It's really interesting to come here, to Ghost Love Score, after hearing Romanticide and Your is an Empty Hope, and then seeing this kind of voice. Usually those new to Nightwish go about it the other way around. For this performance, it's Floor's tone and length of her phrases, as well as her belts. Everything I suppose, but here, like you said, she sounds like an angel, or a Valkyrie during those staccato notes you replayed. It's why I originally fell in love with Floor and Nightwish. I don't know another singer that matches Floor's unique tone, range, breath control for really long phrasing, and it is all on display here in overwhelming effect. I suggest checking out Storytime next. 🙂 Also, one other band made their way to sit with Nightwish at the very top of my favorite bands of all time, in terms of skill and sheer wonder of performance. I have to see them live as well. I wholeheartedly recommend checking out Lovebites, in between more of Nightwish's performances. They're another band like Nightwish that I recommend viewing live performances for. Most start with Holy War, live from Zepp. My personal favorites are Swan Song with the Chopin intro and Set the World on Fire. Asami's tone is different from Floor - I don't think anyone can replace that - but she has quite some power and range and she is amazing for what she does, and she is supported by the most ridiculously talented musicians I have ever heard. Like Nightwish. Honestly, like Nightwish, you literally cannot go wrong with anything of theirs you check out.
10:30 - Well, that is "just" her classical training and amazing breath control... What I've heard from some experts is that what she _really_ stands out for is her ability to just switch from a more operatic style to pop to growling and back within seconds. One singing coach said that a lot of theatre troupes need to decide in advance which overall "style" they want to sing in that day, simply because they need to prepare and can't possibly switch. And she just does it as if it was nothing 🤣
Great reaction! Every time you were shaking your head, like WTF?, I was like, exactly! Just a phenomenal performance. You may be interested in checking out Floor's own reaction to this performance. She posted it on her own channel. If you do, I would like to see that. 🤟

Great reaction, it's nice to hear your opinion from a professional point of view. I have heard this song many many times and it always so gets me. And while this is an absolute great recording, it doesn't compare to hearing it live. I saw them 2 wks ago in Amsterdam and the whole show was phenomenal.🤘🏽
They seem to be a band that creates great studio work but really excels live. The music is just built for it and I love that! Thank you for watching! :D
I knew of Floor back when she was with After Forever, but with Nightwish and Toumas' capability as a song writer/composer... Floor's range and capability is absolutely utilized to its fullest. Toumas' is called by the army, "A modern day Mozart". Truly, his capability in song writing ( just wait til you get to the "Greatest Show on Earth" video from 2017 Tempere PLEASE. BUT do that are one of your last songs. Its quite the culmination of everything Toumas is capable of !!!! )
Here you go, a link refresher sotospeak. :) Welcome, to Nightwish. :) Here is my list for you......but first..... YES, Amaranth from Wacken.2013 and Phantom of the Opera from Beste Zangers 2019. And every song from their current tour ;-) The last ones are only fan videos, but some are filmed great !
The temptation with this song must be to over sing it, because its such an epic song. I dont think ive ever heard Floor do that. She always lets it breath. This is certainly not true of other singers who often try to make an 'event' of songs like this, and end up making a mess.
Gabriel Bardac will be here to guide in this rabbit hole!!!! Next ones... "Bless the child", another long one, "Ghost River" and "I wish I had an angel" and "Storytime", all from the same show, live at Wachen 2013!!!! Hugs and happy holidays from Eastern Europe, right on the border with war torn Ukraine... Romania to be more exact. They also have an anti-war song brother... Because Tuomas is the most peaceful Finnish man I know... it's called "10th Man Down" and it was sung at the Buenos Aires show in 2018. Hugs and lots of love from Romania brother !!!
Dude, thank you for your reaction I did really enjoy. There are another two songs that I think you are now ready for: First one definetly need preparation about how Tuomas created it and why. This song is different and all but easy stuff. It is about the death of himself. I really advice you to not bring it out before you investigated the whole story.... Second one is a song - no - an experience with support of Richard Dawkins( preferred the version from Wembley with himself appearing in the end. Check it out, you will never forget!
And again a soul is taken by our Dutch Valkyrie Goddes of Metal, more Floor Jansen, watch the Beste Zangers 2019, she sings in different styles and different languages, there is a video on RUclips with all the endings of GLS . She sings O Mio Babbino Caro and from the gamecube game Final Fantasy Chronicals, Sound of the Wind. There is a video on RUclips where she even sings the Yellow Pages on a radio-show.. She is working on different projects of Ayreon too, Valley of the Queens and The Day The World Break Down are good ones to start with.
Lead us in to battle, oh mighty valkyrie goddess!
Seen NIGHTWISH May 12th in Chicago small venue about 3,200 people no pyros and it was still the best concert I've been to in my 57 years and I have seen over 500
Here I am staying up to 4am watching Nightwish reaction videos again...
Hope you enjoyed it!
@@jameswolfblood Oh I do, no matter the reactor, the best two reactions are always when Floor starts singing, and the Floorgasm.
I've come to that conclusion myself! Nothing she can't do. Thank you for watching! :D
Emppu is good enough to not have to show it in every solo ) He does what the songs needs, every time
I concur
This song didn't require a shredding solo with a million notes, what he played was melodic and tasteful. It embellished the song perfectly and most of all, it's a solo you can hum and easily remember. Great note choices too, well done.
Highly recommended is Floor's solo performance of Shallow. It is here on youtube from Beste Zangers (Best Singers) a Dutch version of The Voice.
THIS is my favorite Nightwish song. And that drummer is AMAZING AS FUCK. Gosh, I would love to see them some day.
Me too! Seeing them live has become a dream of mine. Hope one day we both get to see them!
Hail to the Queen...the best and most versatyle singer on the planet...sublime soprano and metal Queen
ALL BLOODY HAIL!!!!!!!
Little story about how they started working with Pip Williams when they made the Once (2004) album. Ghost Love Score can be found on the album. Here's a clip from their book:
----------------------
From the very start, Tuomas had a strong feeling that Once had to have an orchestra, come what ever may.
As we were having coffee in the studio, Pip dropped the bomb: the orchestra in question had played on The Lord of the Rings, as well as on many other Hollywood soundtracks - all recorded in this studio!"
It seems that Pip Williams wanted only the best for a band he held in great respect. "I have followed the band for some time, and it's been interesting to see how they have developed. Of course Rock bands like Deep Purple have previously used orchestras, but I really feel that Nightwish have combined the best of both worlds most successfully. They are a classic Metal band with strong classical and movie-score influences in their music."
"It was important for me that it would not be just about over-dubbing a few orchestral parts on top of a Rock band", Williams continues. And Tarja's (1st lead singer) wonderful voice has done the songs great justice."
Williams knew his orchestra well. These guys have done many, many big movie scores, as have the wonderful Metro Voices choir, and I thought this project required the kind of grandiose performance one would find on movie soundtracks by, say, Howard Shore."
Tuomas could not have been more excited about the situation. That, as well as 'Dark Chest of Wonders', were the first ones we recorded."
Williams was equally happy with his orchestra. But the groundwork paid off, as only a few small alterations were necessary."
Tuomas and Pip Williams immediately hit it off on a personal level. I would also love to collaborate with him on a movie score at some point."
"Many times the players would come into the control room afterwards to listen to the takes, and according to Pip, that's something that doesn't happen very often," Tuomas says. "They're usually not that interested - they just do their job and leave, but now they actually listened to the songs. At the end of the last day, as I went down to thank the orchestra, they started applauding, standing up from their seats. It was one of those great moments in life."
According to Williams, a Pop or Rock artist rarely receives a standing ovation. I'm very satisfied with my own reward for the arrangements, too."
"There is alwas a degree of compromise when mixing a Metal band with a large orchestra, as it's such a huge sound, but all in all, I'm really pleased with the end result", Pip reflects. "The main thing is that we have established a great identity with Nightwish and the orchestra, and our cooperation could be even better in the future. Seriously, Once is one of the most enjoyable projects in my career, and I've done this for 35 years!"
Thanks for the effort, mate, really enjoyed that read. ❤️🤘🎸🎻🇦🇺
Hello ValtteL! What a interesting view behind the scenes. It is so nice to learn things about NW from the early days as I only got to know them in 2019. All the info gives me more understanding how the band evolved over the years. Thank you so much for sharing! Greetings from The Netherlands!
Quite the wall of text but worth reading. Thanks!
Thank you so much for sharing this! ❤️
👍👍
Just a little decay, no Marco. When I need my Nightwish kick, it has to be with Floor and I always go back to Wacken 2013 and then Floor's solo stuff.
Antwerp was hard on Floor so soon after the cancer surgery. She was weepy at the end of Sleeping Sun. 😥
@@dieseldog00 it was sleeping sun not nemo, but who cares what song it was, Floor is a strong and professional artist. In Belgium we have an expression "hats off" for such a strong lady🎶🎶🤟🏻🤟🏻
I *finally* got to see NW w/Floor this past spring in the US. She sounded amazing and the band obviously! It was a great show. \m/
very cool reaction,
greetings from the Nightwish Army from Germany :-)
That was a great show at Wembley 👍
Very simular Story for me. Not sure if it was only Tarjas voice, or if i wasn't ready for metal at this time. But the first time i discovered them must have been somewhere around the year 2000. But after i rediscovered them back in 2018 or 2019 it was my entrance to the wonderful world of metal.
And i am will to see them this we.
@@NickBR57 It was 🔥
@@andrebrodbeck384 You're in for a great treat. Enjoy!!
I desperately need to see them live!!!!

I second Song of Myself, my No 2 favourite. I cannot find a word or sentiment in your comment that I don't agree with. Nice.
This concert was legendary, no doubt about it.
Seen Nightwish 7 times now last 4 with Floor as lead vocalist and they never disappoint. I get Goosebumps at every performance.
@@harrihakala3884 Floor is definetly the best vocalist for me Tarja was to opera, Anette to pop but Floor is perfect for Nightwish
I have heard this song literally hundreds of times and it brings me to tears every single time
Floor's voice is an extension of her spirit, and her spirit is extraordinary.
Fun fact Floor have her own youtubechannel with a lot of amacing cowers
And the guy behind the music is......
Tommy Johansson The connection is Sabaton
I love watching reactions to the finest performance ever of the epic masterpiece Ghost Love Score. Maybe the greatest rock song ever written!

Welcome back to the Nightwish Army!!! YOU ARE NOT READY FOR THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Heaven felt that shit!

Saw them live in Amsterdam a few weeks ago, it was amazing. I'm still in my 'Nightwish bubble'.
I was there too.
It was great !
Just bought a ticket for Floor her solo show in Amsterdam, December 2023 :-)
I was there too and I can't wait to see them again. I saw NW & Floor solo on PinkPop and will see Floor again solo in April and June. (Utrecht & Royal Park Live)
Was there too. Have tickets for both floor’s solo shows in April and December next year.
@@johndreessen7335 same, and 6- 7 - 2023 Royal Park Live.
Maybe the greatest live performance of all time. Well, except for a few other Nightwish live performances...
What I generally like about Nightwish is that not the individual band member is the star of the show, but the music as a total work of art.Everyone subordinates themselves to this and that makes Nightwish so incredibly special in the brutal music business.
Absolutely. You canfeel the love and dedication which makes all the difference.
I concur
What I liked from this performance is clarity of tone and mixing. Everything is crystal clear and sounds better than album version.
Out F..ki.g standing, learned an new Phrase, thx for that:)
Many Things will already be said, just great you digged that, and not for the Views or Clicks, i for me felt the Joy that did bring to you. And now you know why this song is the number one reacted to Video worldwide on RUclips.
If you want to really hear Floor's true vocal range, check out hre performance of The Phantom of the Opera on the Dutch TV show Beste Zangers.
I know how annoying it can get when its paused every 30 seconds haha
OH! STS is easily one of my fav bands! You lovely folks from Finland have some of the BEST metal on the planet! \m/
I thought there was no perfect singer... And then I heard Floor Jansen 🤯
And Nightwish fills our head with musical goodness, I'ts a win win situation.
I don't think there's a better singer in music right now. She's on a whole different level!
Passion, ability, power.
I saw Nightwish with The Goddes Floor Jansen in Amsterdam recently.

"Hey, Hey, Hey, Heey!" (+some of her arm movement) = Proper crowd control moment captured!
Cool reaction män and nice to see your into them.
Keep on rockin with this magical band!

I didn't know that, that's cool! And thank you :D
Watched them a few weeks ago in the UK. Even after cancer treatment Floor was outstanding! The band were good as well.
Glad to hear she's doing well!
If you haven't heard Shoemaker I recommend (the lyric video) well you can do the live one at Hellfest too you choose😂
Thank you so much for the kind words. Means a lot! Welcome :D
Please....Like your Natural Reaction very much!!!!!...please react to " the greatest Show on earth" and Let us again Dive together in this phenomenal music...🤟🙏❣️
Good one. Have a listen to them at Hellfest 2022 any/all songs but def Shoemaker
So true! With Floor, there are no limitations! Thank you for watching :D
watching people getting floorgasms is what i am here for ;)
Great reaction, new sub!
Thanks very much! Glad you liked the video. They are just so professional as a band. Doing what's right for the song and not the ego is so important.
This is Floor's favorite Nightwish song to sing.
Great reaction James. You might want to watch this one too, as you're a vocalist yourself. This is the song I use to introduce people to Nightwish. It shows how much Floor is capable of doing.
She just ropes you in! Its hard to to be enamored by her skills as a vocalist and performer.
So Awesome. Everytime!
When you sing this song for about the 500th time...(along with Floor) your bursts will be clean...I'm not a trained singer but I slay this song...but can't always open up enough for the final note! Still practicing...

Hi! I'm here to see NW reactions, can't get enough of those. Props for Swallow The Sun shirt!
Thank you! :D
Nice shirt with
A great band ❤🤘
Also, one other band made their way to sit with Nightwish at the very top of my favorite bands of all time, in terms of skill and sheer wonder of performance.
Thank you for the comment and suggestions! I'll be sure to check em out!
She's so bloody impressive!!!
great to see when people realise it just gets better & better & better .... enjoy the ride my friend.. new sub from Liverpool , England ......🤘🤘🤘
Thank you! Loving this journey so far!

what to say,,, It's EPIIIIIC🤘🤘
Who from here was on the 4th of December in Vienna at their Human.||.Nature show ??? I was there... It was unbelievable !!!
Its quite the culmination of everything Toumas is capable of !!!! )
Wacken , Germany ,Live , Nightwish :)
Verynice reaction...yes they are special,unique,the best😊
Thank you!
Here you go, a link refresher sotospeak. :)
Welcome, to Nightwish. :) Here is my list for you......but first.....

(jokester and very deliberative in his playing)
Jukka on drums, but had to stop due to insomnia (but is still behind the scenes with Nightwish), new drummer is Kai who was the drummer with Wintersun.
Tuomas - keyboards and main songwriter/choreographer for Nightwish aka genius. :)

YES, Amaranth from Wacken.2013 and Phantom of the Opera from Beste Zangers 2019.
And every song from their current tour ;-)
The last ones are only fan videos, but some are filmed great !
THANK YOU! Love this! Can't wait to watch em :D
The temptation with this song must be to over sing it, because its such an epic song. I dont think ive ever heard Floor do that. She always lets it breath. This is certainly not true of other singers who often try to make an 'event' of songs like this, and end up making a mess.
Wait until you hear her growl at live at wembley
Thanks for the reaction. I'm waiting Greatest show on earth and Poet and the Pendelum at some some point. Follow Gabriel's list.
Great reaction🤘🤘🤘
Stay safe, and thank you! :D
Swallow the sun ❤️
Dude, thank you for your reaction I did really enjoy. There are another two songs that I think you are now ready for: First one definetly need preparation about how Tuomas created it and why. This song is different and all but easy stuff. It is about the death of himself. I really advice you to not bring it out before you investigated the whole story....
Second one is a song - no - an experience with support of Richard Dawkins( preferred the version from Wembley with himself appearing in the end.
Check it out, you will never forget!
This performance was #13 of 15. Stamina! Love her solo projects more than the metal
I would have never even guessed it was that late into the show. UNREAL!
