The thing about Kang is that him being Nathaniel Richards, a descendant of Reed Richards is important. Kang is a dark mirror of Mr. Fantastic. He's Reed Richards' unquenchable thirst for knowledge without the moral compass that is his family. It's why the Fantastic Four being an ensemble of family is so important. They ground each other.
This trailer was so goddamn good. To the point where I think Kang is probably my new favourite villain, he hasn't even been in a full blown movie and I'm liking him way more than Thanos and that's saying something cause I LOVED Thanos. Thanos to me is the perfect villain because he's intimidating, powerful, yet not completely busted to the point where suspense is lost and he was empathetic. Kang gives me more "Evil" energy than Thanos. I feel like Kang will not have the reasons for doing what he did as well as Thanos did, but the sheer presence about him.. Thanos was intimidating because we had heard so much about him and we knew what he could do, but Kang feels actually threatening mid scene. Thanos felt like this gentle giant that will crush your skull if you get in his way Kang feels like the type of person to stab you in the back with a knife after poisoning your tea and then throw you off a cliff. he will go out of his way to make you feel pain while Thanos gave me "Lesser of two evil" vibes.
Lol. Kang's motivation is likely gonna be love. It's not as interesting as Thanos' genocidal environmentalism but if they make it fully star crossed lovers then it could be interesting.

My friend had to show me a screenshot of the very split second of the face reveal cuz I only thought the MODOK clip in the trailer where he is heavily armored is the only shot of him in the trailer. I'm glad we're back to MCU with stakes again. Phase 4 had a fair share of projects I enjoyed, but it felt so overly long I was really starting to get tired of it.
Nothing happened. Outside of like Loki, besides removing all the new characters they introduced, you could remove most of phase 4 and we'd be right where we are now..
For some reason, this trailer gives me some solid Tron Legacy vibes, both visually, musically and storywise (the tyrant of a microcospic realm trying to break out and control the real world). Really hopes it lives up to this trailer, coz this trailer is pretty damn DOPE !

I personally loved multiverse of madness as a fun sam raimi mcu movie. Sure it has its problems but it was damn entertaining with gorgeous visuals and great vfx. It's easily one of the best looking movies in the mcu.

I think marvel fans will think they showed too much but they need to sell it to the general audience , there isn't much action in the trailer . Just a lot of things happening until the last few 15 seconds of fighting which I needed to see I was kinda tired of magic verses magic and hand to hand fighting scenes is just great to see
I agree that Inception had the problem that in early scenes they promised world bending visuals where anything in a dream can happen, but then that anything that happens in a dream is just standard James Bond movie stuff. But then the first Dr. Strange movie could do what Inception promised.
The first two Ant Man movies were fairly lighthearted and comedic but this looks very serious , I have no doubt that this will have the funny one liners that Marvel do so well in very perilous situations ( Iron Man and Quill discussing Thanos wiping out half the universe while Mantis is bouncing up and down in the background in Intinity War is one example that comes to mind ) early looking forward to more Jonathan Majors he killed in the Loki finale with his very brief he who remains appearance .

The Arishem scenes in Eternals is what regularly brings me back to the movie and soundtrack. (more of that instead of a past romance, probably would have done the movie better :/ )

I think you look just as cool without the facial hair as you do with it. You look like you're in you late teens without it and in your late 20s with it. I never got to see much of any version of Kang in the comics when I was still reading them so this is going to be fun to watch. Enjoyed the trailer and reaction 👍👍✌out.
A little late to the thread, but I have to concur that this looks fabulous. The MCU is reaching that critical mass of cosmic bonkers that the first Thor only hinted at and the Guardians of the Galaxy promised-namely that of Marvel Comics circa mid-70s (yes, I'm old) when the likes of Jim Starlin (creator of Thanos, Starfox, Pip the Troll and the Cosmic Cube/Infinity Gauntlet narrative) and the team of Steve Englehart and Frank Brunner (writer and artist for some of the trippiest Dr. Strange stories, including the one where God turned out to be a reformed evil sorcerer from the future) built atop the solid foundations laid by Jack Kirby, Steve Ditko and Stan Lee. Unfortunately, that means the MCU is no longer for casual moviegoers. Which is fine by me as long as the writers exercise control over the pace of the storyline, which I think was the big problem with Multiverse of Madness.
And it hypes me here and there, you want some and when the film comes out everyone is disappointed 🤩😞🤣 Er… on the other hand, if we put all the trailers end to end, we have seen almost all of half of the film 🍿
Jokes aside, that line "I don't have to win, we just both have to lose" what impact! That line alone makes me want to see this.
With lines like this, the writer has more than proved he can write Avengers: Kang Dynasty.
