It' started out well, it's now watered down and massively over priced. And doesn't care about ripping the fans off? I can do this all night. Coldplay are a boil on the arse of music.
@@reqeffect Spot on. To have essentially infinite time in the best studios in the world and come up with the generic bontempi keyboard demo songs they release nowadays is criminal. If his voice wasn't so distinctive it would be hard to believe it's the same band.
That Brazil purchase is brilliant! But its sad that its gone at the same time because its been there for so long but im glad i got to see it in person before he bought it 🔥
Love the new intro and graphics, nice one Alfie. The zola is class, it's a great shirt but the story of wanting it as a child and now getting a real one makes it.
As I've commented before, the interviews are really great and your interviewing style keeps getting better. One request, please get rid of that annoying clicking sound every time there's a new photo. Drove me crazy.
The Champ Man football match is an epic idea. I’m a Champ Man 2 kid. My cousin had the Dutch league version, he always chose Heerenveen. My picks for Champ Man legends would be Edmundo, Christian Dailly and Joe Gallen. Excellent times.
Best shirt shopping episode yet! Surprised by ellis’ knowledge of the game from before he was even born! Josh was the perfect guest and the chemistry between you was 🎯 Up the away days
What a brilliant watch this was for all the football nerds out there this was great viewing !! Great double act these two they should think about doing there own show
I really love the Parma jersey-it's my favourite! And you know what? It's perfectly fine to wear a football shirt featuring a name and number if that player was a childhood hero of yours and has since retired.
I think we can all agree he should have bought the Eto'o shirt, but the Parma 95-97 - Zola 10 home shirt was the best. clean looking shirt and meant the most to him
The Brazil ‘78 shirt is undoubtedly a piece of history, shirt of the show. Oh and I’ve booked tickets for Josh’s tour in Bristol, only have to wait until February 2026 to see him (if I’m still alive by then).
Great picks by Josh. That Colin Hendry Scotland shirt would’ve been an instant buy for me though, what a beauty. I had it in a children’s small when I was a kid. I’ve owned all the beautiful Scotland shirts growing up and all of them were tiny and must’ve went to charity shops years ago
I do like the classic Brazil shirt, but just love the old Plymouth shirt pick. Exact kind of thing I'd buy if I went in there looking for a Swindon Town shirt!
Talking about steve bruce reminds me of when me and my dad met him as villa fans. Pre season at Burton. A lot of people said my dad looked similar to steve bruce and it was a funny comparison. Also Bruce also crashed someone's wedding photos that day as well. Was hilarious 😂
Brian Clough’s achievements will never be topped, has to be the best manager of all time. Within 5 years took an average team from the bottom area of the championship to Premier League champions, two times Champions League winners, Super Cup winners and multiple League cup winners within 5 years. He also won the Premier League straight after promotion dethroning a great Liverpool side. Would be like Preston winning the Premier League after coming up, winning the Champions League back to back, winning the Super Cup and two League cups by 2030
I bought Steve Bruces Striker book and he signed it along with Dean Gorre who was a Dutch player who played for Ajax and Huddersfield when he signed it. It should be at my Mums house somewhere. I’m gonna track it down and get it on eBay. 💰
I love this episode, I can't remember if there has been, but I'm waiting for a guest who is more into European clubs and shirts, but I'm not talking about Barca,Real, Bayern, Psg etc etc...I'm talking Scandinavian, east European, Austrian....that sort of direction The Parma shirt is my favorite of the episode E
I have an 80's match worn and signed Maradona Argentina shirt, an "Escape to Victory" shirt signed by Pele, John Wark, Ossie Ardiles and Sylvester Stallone and a red England 1966 shirt signed by the team. I have no idea what they are actually worth as prices online differ so much.
36:39 were Brazil to return to Adidas, I would certainly buy the first home shirt that comes out--because that'd be the one that signals that hell froze over. And in the event that (considering the above) the 1978 shirt gets redone under Adidas Originals, I would get it too; specially if its actual numbering gets replicated too. And I'm not in any way a Brazil supporter.
One pet peeve that I have developed recently is people saying “if your this age you can’t do this or if your that age you can’t do that” like honestly, who cares, let people live
I love how every guest still thinks Ellis owns the shop 😂
Still waiting on W2S to come on this show
We all are
Wait he is still around
@@awaydaysfootball hello, police? I’ve just witnessed a murder
Doesn’t like football enough
@6:33 Ellis hitting Josh with the uno reverse "Shirts are art you can wear" 😂
Modern football being described as coldplay is so accurate
How so?
He only said that because super hans from peep show made a joke about Coldplay once ,
It' started out well, it's now watered down and massively over priced. And doesn't care about ripping the fans off?

I think Ellis secretly enjoys guests thinking he owns the shop, because he never corrects them or tells them beforehand that the shop isn’t his 😂
I mean it wouldn't surprise me if he had a stake in it, but he shouldn't be proud of it as the shop overcharges a lot for its top shirts
Elis James is such a shout!
Best series on RUclips back is a godsend
Another class video. Josh was an excellent guest, kinda perfect for this set up - just two guys talking about football and cool shirts.
As I've commented before, the interviews are really great and your interviewing style keeps getting better.
One request, please get rid of that annoying clicking sound every time there's a new photo. Drove me crazy.
It's insufferable.
I have never even noticed this until now... Thanks mate... 🙄
@@pcraig1991 I don't think it was on previous videos but I noticed it here for sure.
14:55 - did a stadium tour as a kid, and in the old changing rooms they were very keen to point out the corner of the bench Pele sat in!
These videos made me add Classic Football Shirts to my must see locations on my trip to London. I’ll be at the store on Monday and can’t wait.
really enjoyable episode! Thanks for taking the time to take a quick picture during the shoot :) Was lovely to meet u mate. Up the awaydays!
The Champ Man football match is an epic idea. I’m a Champ Man 2 kid. My cousin had the Dutch league version, he always chose Heerenveen. My picks for Champ Man legends would be Edmundo, Christian Dailly and Joe Gallen. Excellent times.
This is honestly one of the best series on RUclips. Give us more!!
loving the celebrity type guests that love football it’s so cool to see. favourite shirt has to be the zola one

Yeaa naah not really
Perfect chemistry for this ep!
I think we can all agree he should have bought the Eto'o shirt, but the Parma 95-97 - Zola 10 home shirt was the best. clean looking shirt and meant the most to him
My mate mentions the etoo shirt possibly 8 times a year. Surprised he's never bought it
Great vid, great guest!
love the edit at the end as per and the photo booth (need to see the pics thou! They looked fun)
So happy you came across the Carling City shirt 😂 probably the most iconic shirt of ours!
The Parma shirt is absolute class! Backstory and all, love it!
It has to be the Parma shirt for multiple reasons. The back story, the player, the beauty of the shirt. Bellisimo.
Shaun Goater is a legend. Loved him coming to us at Southend!
The Third shirt of that match winner 92-93 Exeter city shirt is the best football kit ever made
May not be the most classic, but Ginsters and Plymouth go hand in hand. What a shirt.
Yes! Love this series. Great guest!
The Brazil ‘78 shirt is undoubtedly a piece of history, shirt of the show.
Oh and I’ve booked tickets for Josh’s tour in Bristol, only have to wait until February 2026 to see him (if I’m still alive by then).
That Brazil 78 shirt is unbelievable I’m jealous he got it I wish I had enough money to justify making purchases like that
I wish I still had my 96/97 Premier League sticker album. I completed that one and bought the hardback cover.
All of Joshes picks were lovely, but the Parma one is just perfect, my favorite one of this top episode
These two had such good chemistry
I do like the classic Brazil shirt, but just love the old Plymouth shirt pick. Exact kind of thing I'd buy if I went in there looking for a Swindon Town shirt!
That Plymoyth top is proper nostalgia! 100% best buy
That Brazil shirt is phenomenal! Easily the best purchase but I like the Parma shirt too
the parma shirt is surely top 10 football tops of all time absolutely stunning
As a Canadian, love the shoutout to Carlo Corazzin!
Talking about steve bruce reminds me of when me and my dad met him as villa fans. Pre season at Burton. A lot of people said my dad looked similar to steve bruce and it was a funny comparison.

Best purchase, obviously the Plymouth Argyle away 07/08, absolute beauty.
Cardiff mentioned. We’re massive. (Also didn’t mention the Swans in the same sentence 🤫). Love you Josh
Josh might just be the best guest yet!
90’s Parma shirts you just cannot go wrong. Has to be the best shirt. Try get David Earl on!!! Great ep again
Nice chemistry between you two. Good ep that

The Brazil 1978 shirt for me! Cool match up in today's vid.

E
Like a child in a sweet shop, that parma one is the perfect fit
Love the Zola kit. Absolutely beautiful
Brian Clough made his first adult start for my local football club Billingham Synthonia FC. You should visit sometime.
This was a dope episode. Parma shirt is one I’d love to have. Best purchase for sure
Great guest
You two talk to each other like old friends
The Parma shirt is just so cool, definitely his best purchase even though that brazil shirt is nice
Please get Jon Beer or David earl on ellis. Cant have 2 argyle fans and no city ones
Also Exeter has a museum 👀
The best purchase was the Zola shirt!!! 100%🔥🔥

Brazil shirt is iconic! Best purchase no doubt
I'm living for these at the moment... 👌
The Parma Zola shirt was his best purchase, amazing selection. I hope I can win the 50 pound for once this time😂
I can’t lie that Zola shirt was talking to me like it was to Josh. Easily my favorite.
I was an extra in The Damned United. Ended up on the front cover of the dvd case!
yes! get Elis James on.. Josh was great too :)
The Zola shirt has to be the best that parmalat sponsor is to iconic
The Brazilian shirt is Josh's best choice. I wouldn't wear it once though. It's so valuable.
Please get Elis James on!!
Gotta be the Zola shirt - a thing of beauty!
Ellis should do this section of videos at least once a week. There’s no need to invite a famous ex-pro players, just ordinary ppl who loves football.
What a beautiful episode! Now... onto the shirts
Brazil one is the best! Absolute gem!
I bet Ellis has not stopped thinking about the ‘Cool Palmer’ moment.
Nah the zola shirt is so nice man! Has to be that one. Also i would die for that no sleeved cameroon shirt.
Such a good series, best purchase 100% Zola shirt
36:39 were Brazil to return to Adidas, I would certainly buy the first home shirt that comes out--because that'd be the one that signals that hell froze over. The Brazil shirt is the best 😍😍😍 great vid!
the Zola shirt was class for sure
Graphic and intro on point
He spent way too much 😂. The Brazil shirt is amazing
That parma shirt had a story to him and. Was ace!
Best purchase is the Parma kit hands down!
got to get ellis james on this
That Gazza shirt properly suits him! 👌🏻
Gotta be the Parma zola top beautiful design, top quality video once again
You should start these by saying "I'm Ellis Platten and I dont own this shop. This is shirt shopping" lol and the Brazil shirt was the best purchase.
His best purchase would have been the Sunderland shirt in the legends section
Need to get Andy Cook or Brad Halliday on here
Nice vid. But I refute a Leeds fan and a Plymouth fan saying Alfie Haaland wasn't a good player. You Reds.
That Parma and the Brazil tops are a bangers
One pet peeve that I have developed recently is people saying “if your this age you can’t do this or if your that age you can’t do that” like honestly, who cares, let people live
The Zola is the best I think Looks so good i would want that one as well
That Plymouth brazil shirt is a belter
I can confirm, there was no Hudson at WBA
What a good linkup
Get Elis James on, like you said he’d be class
That Brazil 78 top is class
