It would also be nice to have a hard-case version, similar to the 'B&W Clapton Box', which would give better protection for the Brompton during air travel. The airport personel can be very rough on suitcases when they throw them onto the luggage carriers at the airport terminal. Your Bromton could easily be damaged during International air travel with only a soft case.
'Bike Friday' in Eugene, Oregon also has a very ingenious 'TravelTrailer / suitcase' system for their foldable bikes.
i made my own hard-case Brompton trailer starting from the B&W case, and it is perfect

What is summarised linear cm or linear inches of the chubby bag?
Airlines accept 157 linear cm.
if your cases fit airnimals, that should imply that a Bike Friday would fit?
Can you fix the superduffel onto the chubby in a walking position ?
Are there any news about redesigning the Chubby IV to actually fit under the airline linear dimension limit of 62 inches for checked luggage??

Nearly 2 years have passed since the Chubby is out and I cannot find a single on-line report of a customer successfully flying with that trailer.
you need to go in an aircraft. the chubby won't fly alone

It's a great idea, and I really like the concept, but..... .....airport luggage handlers would throw it around and break the bike! :/ Has anyone traveled on a plane with this set-up? I'd really like to hear. I have a Brompton and I'd use this set-up if it's robust enough to survive airport luggage handlers.
