  • We’ve been through three mattresses since replacing a zinus. Dreamcloud, Sleepys, and now this sleep on latex mattress. This is the one we should have gotten from the start. We love it. There are very few reviews on RUclips for latex mattresses (real people reviews). So I decided to throw this one up

    We wanted a little bit more cush so we put the mattress topper "inside" the zippered cover, this way you still get the benefits of the quilted top. The wool quilted top helps wick moisture away from your body, keeps you dry, it's breathable so you don't sweat like on memory foam.

      There was enough room for you to do that? I just ordered the firm mattress but it hasn’t arrived yet. I know I’ll need a topper. What size do you have that fits inside the zippered cover? 2-inch?

    I have a suspicion the sleeponlatex only uses dunlop latex - thats why it feels so firm. What you have in your nestle topper is more than likely talalay latex and it's soft on both sides.
    It's the 6" dunlop that's firmer on one side.

    Hey there. Great review! I recently ordered an Awara latex mattress, not realizing that they are based in China and that they are very difficult to arrange returns with. Plus, when I asked where their materials are sourced from, they would not give me a direct answer. They also claim to be organic, but they are not certified organic. The whole thing felt very scammy. At any rate, I pretty much had to threaten to cancel the order and get a refund but it worked. So I decided to look for a company where the latex mattresses are manufactured in the United States and this was the first one that I saw. Since Sleep On has the proper organic certification, and, after watching your review, I’ve decided to pull the trigger. I already have a PlushBed latex mattress that was a lot more expensive, but it’s in the guest room on a double bed. We need a queen for the master bedroom. Thanks again. I’m really excited about doing it, and I’m going to get the 3 inch topper for the medium latex mattress.I’m hoping I can get the half off on the top or like you did.

      Según me dicen el la fábrica sleeponlatex. El firme es para personas que duermen de lado. Y Boca arriba. O para quienes cambian de posición durante el sueño. El firme es para personas que duermen boca abajo.

    How do you like the mattress a year in? Are you a side/back/stomach sleeper? How does it sleep without the topper?

  • @cyborgLIS

    Do you think the medium firm would be ok for a side sleeper or would i need a topper? Is there any disadvantage to getting a mattress + topper versus just the mattress with the correct firmness?

  • @MrApplewine
    @MrApplewine 5 месяцев назад +1

    On reddit everyone says that sleep on latex is way too firm. People suspect this is to sell a topper since they only sell soft in the toppers.

      Thank you for the comment, you might be right. I can say this, the “Latex Mattress Factory Luxurion” is $100 more expensive for a queen, but you get three separate layers of three inch Dunlop. It’s an inch more than the SOL. However, the king size is $200 cheaper than SOL king. You may want to check out their site. You certainly will need a soft topper with the SOL.

      Not true. SOL sells medium and firm toppers in addition to soft. However, they are all dunlop so feel different than talalay toppers.

    Thanks for sharing this review! My wife and I currently have the Zinus Green Tea 12 inch and are thinking to jump over to the same Sleep on Latex you have now. How would you compare the firmness of the SOL to the Zinus? Based on your video, it sounds like it will feel extra firm. We recently popped into a Mattress Firm and tried a Tempur-Pedic Tempur-Adapt Firm, which we found to be very supportive but perhaps a bit too firm - it was strange trying to hop on the bed and have so little give. Anyways, if you have actually tried a Tempur-Pedic like that, I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on it compared to the SOL. Back to the SOL, I think we are about to pull the trigger. It sounded like you recommend just getting the mattress first and then thinking about toppers after trying it out - do I have that right? Thanks in advance!

      One more thing to note is that both my wife and I are combo back/side sleepers - how does the mattress perform when it comes to side sleeping? I've heard some say that the topper is helpful for that.

    • @kervet6046
      @kervet6046 Год назад +4

      I read that as long as the slats are under 3" apart it's all good.
      We recommend a platform base or slatted foundation with spacing that is 3" apart or less. If you need to use a box spring, we strongly suggest using a bunky board or plywood board for extra support. Our mattresses are also very flexible and will work great on adjustable bed frames.

      You can get the base from latex mattress factory in Phoenix AZ. I bought one but I haven't got it open and put together. I'm 65 so my son is going to come help me with it. It's supposed to be very easy. Holes already there and screws with nut wings to hold it together. And that's all I know y'all. Have a blessed day!
