Definitely to large for that thumb bucket to grab and lift and heavier than what the machine could lift with chain sling. You and that Boulder both gave the Cat 305 a good workout and it earned its keep that day for sure. Smart to lay plywood down.
What was the weight if you ever found out?
I dont know the weight but id guess about 8000lbs

Sometimes it would be so much easyer if you only operated 5t machines, you would think that this is going well and all. But i know you must of been thinking this would be so much easyer with the deere. :)

That 305.5 weighs at 11980 and is 41hp. Pretty big for a mini ex
Yikes, even your JD would have a time with that beast. Talk about rough play. I was laughing at how almost your entire machine is hidden behind the boulder and just the arm sticks up and around for a grab. Too much!

Keep waiting to see that John Deere still a no show. Rumor is that it was sold at a Richie Bros. auction. So sad! Most likely it is in Pakistan or Iraq by now
