    I am amazed at the quality of trains to Europe. If 1 set of sushi costs £26, then for a train abroad to another country it is very cheap. Not to mention travel time. Awesome.

      It really depends though. If you book it like 2 to 4 weeks in advance, you're good. Otherwise it can get very expensive (some hours are like mich cheaper than others too)

    Eurostar advises you be check in at least 90 minutes before before your train is due to leave not 69 minutes

      I've checked in 30 minutes before my train left multiple times. Then again, I did stayed across the street at The Standard.

      @@TheRailwayDrone ofcourse it depends on your nationality as non EU citizens have to have 3 months left after the planned departure date so pasport controls now take longer

      @@TheRailwayDrone that explains alot. If you where British you turn up at the time asked for by Eurostar. It only polite to do as one is asked.
      As we all know Americans have taken many aspects of British life then claimed them as there own, unfortunately politeness was not one of them🤣

    Hi, could you tell me whether British passport holder require visa to visit Paris in 2024. Thanks.

    • @MelinaKim
      @MelinaKim  Месяц назад

      British citizens do not need a visa to visit France for stays of up to 90 days within a 180-day period. However, it's always a good idea to double-check the latest travel requirements before you go, as these can change.

    Hello. I got a big question. I’m traveling soon to Pairs and after that am heading London by Eurostar train in standard class. App says 2 luggage + 1 hand luggage. Regard to “2 luggages” I’ll take one carry-on bag and a big one (like a 23kg checked large suitcase in airports), could the large one be included into as a one of the 2 pieces of luggage ?? I’ll be grateful if reply me, thanks for helping

    • @MelinaKim
      @MelinaKim  5 месяцев назад

      Based on your question, I believe yes but I would recommend checking the Eurostar website :) There's no weight limit on the two luggages, but the maximum allowed dimensions are 75 x 53 x 30 cm for traveling between Belgium, France, Netherlands, and Germany, and a maximum of 80 cm long for Eurostar travel to and from London.

      Depends on the country you’re from and if the EU allows citizens of your country to visit without a visa. In this case no since she has a US passport.

      The flight from london to paris is an hour and a half, then you have to arrive to the airport two hours early, and it will take a minimum of an hour to get through security and collect your bag after the flight, that brings the time for a flight to 4.5 hours, minimum, and that doesn't even consider the time to get from the city to the airport.
      Meanwhile with the train, you arrive at the station 90 minutes early, then ride for 2.5 hours at it's longest. That's only 4 hours, plus the seats are comfier, they won't lose your luggage, you have no restrictions what you can bring through security, and the stations are right in the centre of the city.

      @@brandonking1737 2 hours before the flight? 1 hour to go through security? You are mad! I have arrived 30 minutes before my flight and it was all fine.

      @FJBandFkMAGA 9 месяцев назад

      Just pointing it out. If you want to go from city center to city center flying is not really the way to go. Form St Pancras to LHR, that’s around a 45-53 minute one way, then you need to go through security, you say 30 minutes. Then the flight will take around 1 hr 20 minutes. After landing in CDG you need to take the RER B to Gare Du Nord, which that can take either 35-1 hr. Even in the best case you would make it around 2 hr 40 minutes. Taking the Eurostar is worth it if you need to be in city centers.
