You made this 4 years ago and I wish I'd seen it 14 years ago. I have this chore of a weed all over my yard... I also have/had: Crohns, HS, fibroid tumors, uterine prolapse, rosacia, cyctic acne, and debilitating anemia. It's like God has been yelling at me this entire time and I wasn't listening.

@@Herbal_Jedi Loving your videos. Still having problems with confidentially identifying the young plants. But I am trying to watch on a small phone. But when you were talking about identifying you didn't show a close up of the leaf you had in your hand or a close up of the young plant you dug up with the pitchfork. But the picture of the grown plant definitely looks familiar. I have some in the unmanaged part of my property. Anyway I'm on a mission to find a certain herb or weed, not even sure what to call it since I haven't found it... Or maybe I have but you just didn't mention a certain use for it since so many of them have numerous benefits...lol.. doubt if that made any sense... Anyway on to one of your other videos... Thanks for sharing your knowledge, so glad I found your channel.

I was actually look for yellow dock a few months ago, and had no clue it grew in my yard! I ended up making a deco room with burdock instead, because I had it on hand. It was for a mom that was anemic after a post partum hemorrhage and blood transfusion. She reacted badly to the pharmaceutical iron supplements. The dedication worked and in a month she was feeling herself and bloodwork showed she was no longer anemic!

Plantain is another plant that carries an Earth vibration (but very few people are able to grow it far north of the tropics zone). Stinging nettle carries a Water vibration. Hence the 5E mnemonic: Earth dams Water, which means that Earth vibration plants overpower, or weaken the effects of Water vibration plants. 🏋💜

I've noticed that certain 'weeds' grow in proliferation at certain times in my permaculture garden. On reflection and with a bit of research they are always the plant needed at that time for particular things that need attention in the body...for example borage has been abundant since I needed that to help with the onset of menopause and plantain major bloomed when hubby came back from the amazon with a new friend leishmaniasis...poultices and tea really helped the wound healing! We've got a lot of burdock at the moment^^ Great channel!

Yellow Doc has oxalic acid in it and so this tends to block iron absorption. People with Anemia stay away from oxalates because they block iron absorption. I had a blood disease (Polycythemia) where I had too many red-blood-cells and I took oxalates to reduce my red cells and it worked, so my Hemoglobin went from 55 gdl's down to normal at 16 gdl's and even after two years it is still normal.

Recently ordered a Yellow Dock tincture. Looking forward to getting to know this herb. M. Wood relates this as a Badger medicine. Good info !

    Another awsome video...good job.
A question about the tincture...can it, after setting, be reduced and used as an oil. I'm thinking of this for long term storage and volume reduction. The question is dosing/potence related.

I'm about to make my wife a jewelweed salve for her poison ivy, but thought I'd include some other healers from around the house and make it sort of an all purpose cooling skin/ bug bit salve. I've got jewelweed, plantain, and bergamot. And thought I'd also add this yellow dock. My question is what part if any would be most effective? Leaves or root? Or both? And any suggestions/ thoughts on this combination in a salve?

So enjoyed your videos .. just so much information to be speeded thru so quickly. Could you possibly put notes as to what your getting, how, where, recipes, what plants look like, and when alcohol (vodka) is added, you drain it off after 2 weeks? Save or toss it? Then what? Add more vodka to store or what? Those roots that’s sat in it for 2 was, do they soften? How do you work with them?

If you miss harvesting yellowdock in spring, is it better to wait until following year to harvest? Or is there still benefit in the root as fall approaches?
