One of the main things I really love about your garden is the way it rambles, and really lives in the ground. And, you know where everything is. Tidy gardens can look nice, but they can feel a bit too precious and contrived I think, not how nature works really. So as long as you can find what you need and you, and the animals, and plants, love being in your garden, that's all that matters. Hope you have an enjoyable visit to the UK, and Thanks for another lovely video 🌿💛

Personally, I’m not a fan of the straight laced, conventional garden. They feel unnatural, clinical and oppressed to me. On the other hand, I love free flow, medicinal, food filled, gardens with hidden/surprise pockets 🙏🏼

There is not to much difference between Ireland & UK as few people speak the language of Ireland, that has a link with the land, places.
When the translation from the Irish to English was done much was lost. People wonder why the Irish language was not spoken when the Republic was created, the Civil Servants who were in charge prior to the Republic being created remained.
They just changed the Logo, and remained the same. It is possible if visitors could learn the Irish language, they would have a more interesting time. Thank you.

haven't noticed any vids on seaberries - they should be able to be grown in ireland with no problems, as we have them west coast, northern states, east coast, as well as canada, while German and Russian seaberries proliferate across the Old World. Seaberries are massively healthy and nutritious in so many ways of processing and storing.

Hi from the West Kootenay in British Columbia, Canada. Here things are growing very quickly now too with the long days and warm temperatures. I've lived here for over forty years and I'm still amazed at how things grow in the mountain valley. Thanks for the refresher course on yellow dock (Rumex crispus). Yellow dock grows commonly here in my garden and I am always digging it out here and there. I don't use yellow dock although I'm well aware of its medicine. I've read, that is where a lot of my herb and herbal medicine knowledge comes from - reading herb and herbal medicine books that I've collected over the decades, that Yellow Dock should not be used when a person is drinking coffee or black/green tea as there are compounds (iron) in the yellow dock that combine with caffeine. Apparently, from what I have read from a least one herbal medicine source, those iron compounds combining with caffeine can cause an iron toxicity. Too much iron is just as bad as not enough iron. I use dandelion root (Taraxacum officinalis) along with burdock root (Arctium lappa) as a decoction tea for much of the year. Those two medicinal roots do pretty much the same thing as yellow dock root and from what I've read dandelion and burdock root don't have the iron issue as does yellow dock. Still good to have a refresher here, I do appreciate your words and work. I still look up a lot of the herbs/roots that I use (and grow for medicine) in my herb and herbal medicine books fairly often. Rereading all that information, hearing about it here on your videos and other herbal practitioners videos on you tube, is always a good refresher for me. - - - Yes, Huw Richards garden is something isn't it, so well kept and organized. My garden is much more like your own, sort of wild (letting nature be a big part of how things grow and look, letting those medicinal plants grow and flourish in my garden at will - cutting and digging them out when there are just too many and overgrowing other 'food' crops) and more like an ecological reserve than a manicured English/Japanese garden. I'm happy gardening my way, half wild (like myself), as I always see the beauty and worth of all these wonderful plants that grow for us. - - - Thanks again for your great videos. Have a wonderful summer. Cheers!

That's right. As far as I know one should not use the same pots to brew the Dock root as for black tea because the tannins thst discolour the pot can interact with the Dock. Enjoy your garden this week xx

Well darlin, your garden might not be "pristine" as some would have their gardens. But, from this artist's point of view, it is wonderfully inviting to the soul that would like to "wander" about and explore the hidden beauties. After-all "all souls that wander are not lost!!" Some are artists that enjoy the beauty that is looked for :) Enjoy your day.

    This is fantastic thanks Terri!
I have quite a bit of dock in the garden and knew there had to be a use for it. I have chopped and dropped the leaves often onto the beds and am delighted to hear of the benefits.
And as a nutritional/ herbal remedy I am very excited to know this too.
    Love your videos ❤

Hi Terri, just been in my garden debating either to cut the dock or leave it as it is producing seeds, now I know! Can the leaves be eaten or used as a tea for digestive aid as with dandelion leaves?
Terri I love your garden!!! You encourage me to have patience with mine and not to fret if its not quite as up to scratch as I would like it to be, I always seem to be one step behind but I love it all the same and eat continually from my input as do the wild life. When I watch Huw Richards, I love what he does but watching does make me feel a bit down hearted about my efforts and my haphazard results. You and your lovely garden encourage the enjoyment and usefulness of the abundance that springs into life and to respect mothers natures grand idea of beauty and to let plants flourish that in turn feeds the wild life and us. Those wild flowers and plants, the bees and insects recognise them, the colours, the smells, the same cant be said of commercially produced flowers. Love what you do, have a good trip and thanks x

You can make a tea with the leaves and add them to stews but I would use the younger leaves xx
