jaw dropped with the image stabilizer!! going to pick up the 35 today. alrasy have the 50 was just seeing what the biiiig difference is. i shoot weddings and definitely need a wider lens. thank s!
Very nice review am a wedding photographer. and would like a lens with nice color rendition good contrast. FL aint what am lookin for. which one do you suggest me. am on a budget but can afford both the RF50mm1.8 and the RF35mm 1.8
Thank you :) I would suggest going for the 35. It’s such a nice lens to use and that wider focal length can be good for capturing some of the scene and better for group photos. Thank you for watching :)
Hi nice post. Am about to get canon R10 body for hiking in woods for flower photos and birds. (not necessarily flower macro). Not sure which lens for flowers. 18-150 RF S vs 50mm RF vs 35mm RF macro. I realise RF lenses on R10 are 1.6 x focal length. Your thoughts on flower lens please.. Cheers Isaac
For the versatility the 18-150 definitely as you mentioned birds and hiking as well. You can get nice wide landscapes and also telephoto shots of birds as well as using the 50 and 35 focal lengths in that lens as well. You might not be able to as close as a 35mm because of the focus distance, it won't be as good in low light and there won't be much background separation as well as not as good image quality ( won't be that noticeable) but the focal length range of that lens will be far more suited for hiking than a prime lens
Thanks for your review, it was really helpful! Could you help me, please? I have canon eos 70 d and am going to buy canon ef 50 mm 1.8. Do they work together? Or I need to buy adapter as well?
No problem glad it helped! Yes the EF version will work fine, it’s if you have a mirrorless camera you’ll have to get an adapter for it. But you will be fine with the EF version! :)
Hello Master: Please help and give me some advice, The camera I am currently using is Canon EOS R10, The kit lens used with it is (RF-S18-150mm f/3.5-6.3 IS STM) My main subject matter is toy photography. The secondary shooting content is street photography or portrait photos. Now I want to buy new lenses, after watching your video, Want to be Canon RF 50mm f/1.8 STM and RF85mm F2 Macro IS STM or RF 35mm 1.8 STM After making a choice, I would like to ask you to give me some advice on which lens is more suitable for me? Thank you.🙏🙏🙏
I think the 35mm will be a great buy. The R10 is APSC so the 35mm will have a crop factor of 1.6x so it will be more like a 56mm lens. Which is a great focal length for products an portraits. However 35mm is great for street photography and portraits (So the lens to get that look will be the RF 24mm F/1.8). I would say out of those. The other lenses will be amazing but you'll only be getting tight shots. I would probably recommend the 24mm to get the 35mm look and the 50mm to get the 70mm look then you have 2 great primes to work with and get different looks. Also the 50mm F/1.8 is super cheap so if you can pick that up as well as another lens then you'll be getting some epic results!
820 / 5 000 Résultats de traduction Hello and thank you for this video. Indeed it is not an easy choice and I had asked myself the question between these two objectives which one to take?! Finally I bought the RF 50 mm f1.8 stm to mount on my Canon RP, I made this choice for reasons of weight and compactness and I don't regret it. When I want to do the landscape a bit wider, I use my cute little Pancake Canon 40mm f2.8 stm with the adapter ring and it works well. But a question all the same: Is there a difference in image rendering between these two RF 35 and RF 50 lenses? ... Maybe one day I'll still buy the RF 35, unless Canon has the good idea to release an RF 24 or 28 mm... I tried the RF 16, but I didn't like it, really too wide angle for me, lol... Sincerely, Philgood...
Thank you for your comment the 50mm is great! The image stabilisation is great on 35mm tho and that wider focal length can be nice. Canon have just announced the RF 24 F/1.8 so you might like that one! I wasn’t to bothered about the Rf 16mm so I got the eF 16-35 instead. Have a great day :)
Awesome review. You talk and cover stuff that most of 35mm review doesn’t. Very useful. Thanks
Excellent video 📹
Brilliant video bro!! Keep up the good work. I appreciate the time you took to do this🎉
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed the video! Do you have any of these lenses?
Thanks for the review! Cheers from Taiwan❤
Your welcome
I'm Glad you enjoyed it :)
Useful review..both lenses are great 👍
Thank you mate and yes they really are!
Photo, 50mm is great and 35mm for video. Getting 35mm anyway
Yeah that's exactly what I think!

I know right it's insane! You will love the 35mm, I just used it to shoot a wedding a few weeks ago and it was amazing! Your welcome! :)
Soft hold the shutter button on the 50 mm and then turn the focus ring .
I have the ef 50mm but i will pick the rf35 now, because with the 50mm like you say, there ist often less information in the Photo. Especially indoors
RF 35 is one of my favourite lenses! Only thing I don't like is the external barrel focus and it's loud but it takes wonderful images and videos

the one that really surprised me, and I was thinking it was going to turn out to be a DUD, is the RF 28mm 2.8.........
Is that lens any good? Thought it being a 2.8 prime was weird, how is it?
I regret buying the 50mm first instead of the 35mm
Good1
