    Another good video, thanks, Justin! The one thing I'd recommend as an addendum to the Chrome Horn/Bump and Run: know which cars you can actually do this in, and how hard you can get away with a bump, because some cars do not respond super well to rear-to-front contact. You can easily spin someone if you do it wrong and get stuck having to slow down to not run them over, or worse, get caught up in a damaging wreck you caused.

      Very true! Bumping in arca for instance is definitely a death wish

    My problem, even as an experienced guy, is when someone makes a mistake right in front of me, I actually copy their mistake because I judge my driving so much on the driver in front.

  • @PhotonBread
    @PhotonBread Год назад +2

    If it’s a short track you don’t wanna push with the bumper into corner entry. You wanna tap the bumper real lightly at apex making them loose getting back to the throttle and forcing them to lift giving you the speed advantage down the straight. I don’t even know that I would call it dirty. It’s racing. No contact points no harm

    Honestly most people below 2k ir should just focus on understanding the car. Balance and patience will get you alot further in your racing career then wrecking out for the win. These tips are fine and actually work but that's assuming the pack your in has a awareness of what's going on around them. I've gotten caught up in wrecks before by forcing mistakes and the other car doesnt handle it well puts themselves into the wall and all the sudden its my fault because they didnt know how to react to the change in air. I've found that give and take will gain you enough ir to get above the bottom splits and then maybe try some of these tips. Remember the average iracer is trash lol

    • @DJYeeJay
      @DJYeeJay  Год назад +3

      Fair enough but I will say the tip of putting pressure on the guy in front of you to make a mistake works especially well in lower splits

    If you take a bad line to pass and it doesn't work ( trapped above or below the car) admit it
    right away and adjust back to try again another time.. don't keep at it too long. I someone dive-bombs you..
    just move away and let it go.. they are either a genius.. or are burning their tires up.

    Those bump works, but be prepared to get reported. I did this last week to a guy who crashed out 2 people during the race. So I wasn't nice and bumped him and took his spot. Next lap he tried the same and spun out and I got a report lol

    Is the dirty air relevant in ARCA and Nascars? In Indy they are so huge that I haven't even notice it being relevant. Great video as usual!

    • @DJYeeJay
      @DJYeeJay  2 года назад +1

      Dirty air is noticeable but manageable in the arca car. You can hold off someone about .05 a lap quicker than you usually by aero alone. Trucks can be horrible with dirty air making it impossible to get to a cars bumper in the corner depending on the track. Nextgens even worse

  • @parkerwalsh3340

    I just run higher than them at tracks like kansas. People run about 3/4 of a groove lower. So I just run up there and squeeze by lol.
