To quote a tumblr post: "How Naruto should end It's the last panel and it pans away from all of the characters standing together. Then the manga closes and you see Josuke was reading Nauto the whole time and it was just a manga in the jjba world. Josuke looks up at Rohan and says "dude this fucking sucks, you suck at making manga."
It's funny that you say that because Naruto finds a Joseph lookalike that annoys him and he beats him up and Josuke (part 8 ) finds a ninja guy who he beats up because he annoys him
Naruto feels like one of those "rags to riches" stories that billionaires love, where it starts out saying they were an underdog that got rich through hard work but as you keep reading it turns out that they were rich to begin with and always had every advantage given to them.
Every fuckin Tech tycoon that talks about working out of their parents garage, while neglecting to mention their parents garage was a 2 or 3 car garage in Cali right nearby to silicon valley, one or both parents already worked in tech and had connections, they had no obligation to get a job themselves as they were completely monetarily covered, and that their parents gave them the money to begin their business in the first place completely eliminating any potential risk. But the ones that really grind my teeth are “influencers” living on mommy and daddy’s dime living in massive mansions and blogging about absurd “life stories” or talking about their personal struggles to an audience of millions of unwitting kids. Fucking dobre brats.
It reminds me of that one billionaire that 'LOVES' that rich people own the vast majority of wealth on the entire planet because it inspires poor people to work harder. The fun fact being that his family was fucking rich out of the gate, his mom was a hard worked that got to be a CEO of several companies who married a millionaire that personally funded his expensive private school and bankrolled him through harvard... THEN he made a huge fortune for himself when he faked a company being successful and sold it to a giant corporation for 80 million dollars back in the 90s and has since then grown his vast fortune because his step-dad owns a fucking investments firm. And he thinks of himself as the average man that climbed up the ladder through hard work...
One of the core messages of Naruto is that revenge is bad and you should stop doing it because it leads to an endless cycle. Except if your name is Shikamaru, then you can take as much revenge as you like and Naruto himself will even help you out.
sasuke is so predisposed to being an asshole that in an alternate timeline shown in the anime filler, the uchiha clan gets to live, and sasuke still goes to orochimaru and joins isis.
I would for a series to do something similar, but then the MC kills them anyway. "I acknowledge that you had a troubled past and may be partially justified, but you have to go".

Wow yeah, there it is. Damn it's just that simple. Anime where a tsundere and yandere with magic are the main characters. Holy crap that's a moment a clarity.
tower of god shows later on what happens when your protagonist is a yandere with infinite power, and you know what? they're scary. really, really scary. but naruto is only ever seen from his own perspective, so he's the hero.
I think the most egregious thing is that Naruto invites Orochimaru to his wedding. And there's an episode where Orochimaru is just walking around the village thinking of what a good wedding present would be. It's ridiculous how this war criminal who is currently in a body that isn't his own just gets to enjoy the rest of his life freely.
Aizen got sentenced to 20,000 years sealed to a chair. And then, after helping out in the final battle against Quincy Jesus, they still seal him back in that chair cause no one forgave his crimes. Orochimaru gets to go to Naruto's wedding cause he helped once.
@@Chagogo bleach is a case where the center cannot hold and it all collapsed in on itself. the problem was in the structure of the building itself and the fact that the architect was forced into it and deliberately left out supports in the hopes it would collapse and he would be fired. naruto's problem is that it's relatively stable, but not an inch of that building is up to code and every single wall is painted using a different color and substance, not all of which are paint. it's a nightmare to get through, but you can't knock it down and the architect loves it and keeps adding more rooms. and one piece's problem is that the elevator is broken, gotta take the stairs to the top floor. so, what i'm saying is, read one piece.
Side note: Can’t Aizen use his shikai through his body without needing his zanpakutō? If all of Soul Society watched him get imprisoned… how do we know he’s actually imprisoned?
Woolie would probably hate the series even more if he understood that the last fight between Naruto and Sasuke was an ideological battle between the bastardized philosophies of both Pain and Itachi
Wait, so is Sasuke Pain or Itachi? Because Itachi wanted to protect the village by being the necessary evil, and Pain wanted to enforce world peace through fear. And I think Sasuke was gonna do both for eternity?
chaos2inferno Pain wanted everyone to be binded together through a unified “pain”. He felt that through him inflicting that pain, war would cease. Naruto, in the end, thought that the commonality of the pain shared by the ninja from the war, forged a bond that will cause wars to cease. Sasuke kinda does the Pain plan mixed with Itachi as well but Naruto thinks that everyone having this communal experience of pain will forge bonds of friendship. Friendship through Pain is Naruto’s answer for world peace.

He's not tho, because "hard work" was never the core or even a major theme for Naruto as a series, it was just the theme of ROCK LEE's arc vs Neji back in the Chunin exams, and because that's the part everybody remembers most they extrapolate that onto the whole series. Orochimaru kills two Kage, unleashes Gaara on the village, takes over the Hidden Sound, and all the bs with the Sasuke retrieval arc, and he just doesn’t go to prison because the author forgot.
That's just the surface level shit. Orochimaru is directly responsible for countless kidnappings, tortures, human experimentations, and murders. Many of which were performed on children, all because he wanted to live forever. Don't forget that he's a milf now because he murdered some woman, ate her soul, and took over her body. But it's fine, because.
Domestic abuse is not uncommon in Japan. A girl I know called her boyfriend while studying abroad and he literally called her a fat piggy for gaining 2 kilos. She didn't even notice how shitty that was, and said it's pretty normal both ways in relationships there. If you wanna see Domestiku Abyuusu in real life watch Ainori Love Wagon on Netflix, a reality show where at one point a girl beats the shit out of another guy and screams at him in a drunken rage. When he cries by himself all day afterwards, the show hosts are mocking and laughing at him for not being a proper man. In another scene a girl tries to reject a guy she dislikes, calls him creepy and says he makes her very uncomfortable. He is in fact being a weirdo creep, but does he leave her alone and respect her boundries? Oh no - HE CHASES HER down the street (she powerwalks and he's injured so he stumbles a few meters behind) while she yells at him to go away. In the end she straight gives up and is too exhausted to not become his partner. It's really fucked up.

The Sharingan activates with emotions in the brain, that has nothing to do with race, just a bloodline jutsu working in incovinient ways. Cursed powers that bring suffering are a common trope and it's not directedly associated with racism, even because the Uchihas aren't a race, they're a "cursed" bloodline thanks mostly to B. Zetsu. I do think the word "racism" means anything people want nowadays.

In Conclusion, Neji and Tobirama are the best characters in the whole show • Neji predicted the whole show he was right. He was the unsung hero of the whole show. He was trying to save our time • Tobirama was literally right about the Uchihas and was the best Hokage. Everyone was literally trying to prove Tobirama wrong throughout the whole show, but they didn't. They just proved that Tobirama was right. Tobirama was literally proven right when he said we should kill all of them. Tobirama literally proved Genocide is the answer how many people can you say have done that?
Omar Jimenez Oh, you mean the part where Tobirama was the main cause of LITERALLY EVERYTHING that was a problem? What parts of him DIDN’T cause problems? Madara would never have become what he did if Tobirama’s plan was never used.
@@RavenCloak13 Madara would've always turned out the way he did when you take into account the Cycle of hatred trash plotline, Zetsu ass pull, and the whole Uchihas are fucked in the head once someone they love dies. Tobirama was trying to protect the village the best way he knew. He did way more than Hiruzen ever did (that's a fault of his for making Hiruzen a Hokage I'll admit it lol). Way better than Hashirama's big ol "alright Madara I'll kill myself right here", imagine if he actually did that? No one would've stopped Madara from killing everyone. Tobirama knew the Uchihas would rebel (tbh idk how he knew this it's never explained, maybe I don't remember). The fact that even Itachi said "Yea the Uchihas gotta go" when Danzo's trash ass suggested it is just even more proof that his plan had reasoning. Also I assume that another problem you think he caused is creating the most dangerous jutsus (such as reanimation), that isn't his fault he isn't responsive for anyone who uses it after he's dead. My memory is hazy on this part so I might be wrong, but didn't he also try to stop Hashirama from giving the other nations Tailed Beasts? That would've prevented all the future Ninja wars from happening
Omar Jimenez When I said he caused everything I meant that his actions set in motion literally everything. Him ordering they should kill all of them caused everything, And no, that Cycle of Hatred bs was literally what caused this problem. Tobirama dumbass and then Danzo telling Itachi to do it kept it going cause he didn’t kill himself and Sasuke. Then Danzo took all those eyes anyway and Kakashi still had his so fuck that logic. Hell, by all accounts Danzo and Orochimaru should have somehow figured out how to make artificial eyes given the shit they did. Better plan would have been maybe I don’t know... surgery to take out the defect in their heads and at least asking them to try that given Hashirama could stabilize them with his bullshit? Would still be extreme but it would still resulted in better outcome. I don’t remember about the Tailed Beats but, no, the other nations would have been fucking scared in that case if they caught wind of that shit and just attack as a united force and would have been obliterated most likely and resulted in peace... until the inner workings of the last ninja village (the Leaf Village) in the world starts fighting over their nukes which the Tailed Beast are and cause probably an even bigger problem in the long run. Because come on, you really think people wouldn’t fight over control of such things when the only things left to worry about now is your own nation and your opponents in said nation wanting the power for themselves? Also, you reminded me he did create that reanimation jutsu... why? If his plan to kill the Uchiha’s went through wouldn’t that mean he’d have gained access to a shit to of undead Uchiha’s that would be basically invincible if you don’t know the sealing jutsu? And doesn’t that seem a bit much if you go with what you said about the Tailed Beast? He basically sounds like Funny Valentines to me. Yeah the logic to want to defend your village from anything you could see as a threat that you think you could deal with makes sense but maybe don’t make it look like your about to try and conquer the world and give a bunch of nations very legitimate reasons to fear you just as much as you did the Uchiha’s you feared would become a problem that only really became a problem because of your own actions shown by the fact the series is what it is?
Abdega Yes, the Uchiha who single handedly killed the rest (proving he was the strongest and most well trained therefore the biggest threat) that then didn’t kill himself or his little brother while still killing the rest of the children that weren’t related to him and then going rouge. Also then giving the guy who gave the order the chance to take that power which was the reason they wanted to kill the Uchiha in the first place kind of making that point mute since he was ALSO planning to take over. Then the fact Kakashi also had one of the things that was again, part of the reason they were going to kill them anyway...
Dark Souls plays with the chosen one trope well. The scenario set up is so overly challenging that anyone who manages to persevere fulfills the prophecy setup. What makes it great is that it is essentially a trap to get a powerhouse to fuel the soul fire longer.
Yeah canonically the will of fire requires a super hero to keep the age going and every end of age has just been everyone failing to live upto standards due to emotional issues. the player is the psychopath who can't relate to the trauma of the world and let go
Morrowind did it great too ... spoilers bellow the cut. The game tells you that you are the chosen one, a reborn betrayed god... except, if you look deeper, it becomes incredibly likely that, no, you are not a reborn god or chosen one, you are just the lucky (or unlucky) idiot picked by the empire and a daedra god (forget their proper title) to fill that role and make things go exactly as they wanted them to. With you being subtly (and not so subtly) guided into fullfilling pre-requisites of the prophecy so that you might just become a convincing chosen one. Though that is also left to the player interpretation, and if you so chose you can just believe that, yes, you are a god reborn.
I think Naruto is a shining example the pure ideal of harmony, i.e. avoiding conflict. If somebody gropes you, or kicks you, or kills all your friends; say nothing and forgive them and you'll *continue* to have peace. You wouldn't want to be a troublemaker, disrupting the peace by complaining or *gasp* fighting a fellow citizen, right? Be a good, peaceful nail and welcome the hammer with gladness in your heart.
Still shocked Naruto had one distant relative and did not even mention it. I'm sure Naruto would be happy knowing he had a cousin even if she was a bitch.
It's so much worse than "we just let them go." They let Kabuto run an orphanage. The guy who helped Orochimaru body snatch people and was partly responsible for ninja world war IV? They decided to leave him alone with a bunch of kids.
He actually truly reformed (mostly because Sasuke and zombie Itachi put him in a mind prison and repeat his failure so many time until he finally excepts all the mistakes he make and repent and actually left the Justu a changed man) and does not work for him and never will but yea he should still at least be locked up or at least mentioned he got punished for his crimes

But then Sauske kind of saw how hard these guys are going for him, and he pays it back. I'm like "alright...if they finally have Sauske going this path, I can dig it!" BUT NOPE, he gets the worst he's ever been after that. I firmly believe, that if Sauske (before learning the truth) had a choice of bringing back his clan, or killing Itachi, he would kill Itachi! Because he isn't doing it for his clan, he's doing it because he has a little revenge boner, and he's just GOTTA take care of it.
The flash step falcon punch was him tenderizing her inferior ovaries for his strong Uchiha seed, you cant just put a stallion and a mule in a barn, you gotta game the genetic system friend. That punch was the TRUE conception of Sarada.
it strikes me more that he's oblivious. which is pretty weird, considering his two main rivals for most of the series run both explicitly tackle(d) how war crimes are bad pretty commonly. bleach has an entire character who's whole thing is "aren't war crimes fun?!" and he gets his ass beaten repeatedly and is shown to be a violent psycho, meanwhile in one piece you have enel burning sky islands to ash for the lulz and everything to do with the ancient weapons and the buster call, all of which have people running terrified, crying and begging for their lives. like.....everyone else figured out that villains who kill people are bad, what's kishi's problem?
@@Yal_Rathol I dunno, he also seems to portray all the genocide and assassination and backstabbing as totally necessary to ensure the peace of the world in the end, so maybe he really does just love war crimes...
@@wadespencer3623 except that he's inconsistent there, because the genocide of the uchihas was good, but pain's genocidal rampages and consolidation of the land of rain were bad. the village hidden in the mist's bloody history is portrayed as a sickening time in their past that they managed to escape, but then the 5th mizukage uses acid as a primary weapon and one of her retainers has a byakugan they ripped out of a hyuga and he's treated as a hero. what he has is a protagonist-centric morality. if naruto performs or tacitly approves of an action or character, then that action becomes objectively good. naruto likes sasuke, so sasuke is a good guy, regardless of action or context. the question is, who does kishimoto think the protagonist of real life is?
5:30 That's incorrect. Karin actually did give up on Sasuke at that point. For a single moment she found herself worrying about Sasuke but the very next second she remembered "oh yeah, this dude tried to kill me. I'm done with him". That was her best moment, and really, it should've been Sakura's wake-up call instead. :/

Has no one told Woolie that Sasuke wasn't even supposed to be in the story originally? His editor said he needed an edgy rival, and this is how it turned out.
Every villain Naruto fights gets talked down, and gives a sympathetic flashback or reason for being evil... except Kakuzu, the guy who existed solely to get rasenshuriken'ed.
The thing is that you can totally do a story where the villains just get a redemption arc rather than a punishment or death or whatever. There's tons of stories where the villain gets stopped and then calms down and then settles into the goodguy fold without any issues and those stories aren't criticized for that, even if those villains have done truly world-shatteringly awful things. You have to like... actually show the villain being tragic, though. Or give them a significant change in characterization to show that they are in fact good now. You can't just like... say it.
They also can't just change their mind within five minutes of being confronted about their actions. It should take some time. Losing all conviction at the drop of a hat is really lame.
There is actually a manga, where a villain joins the protagonists and he straight up says to them that he won't change and *lives up to this statement,* and the villain is genuinely one of the most likeable people in it, despite * Ripping the face off of the girl he liked to see if he loved her, or just her appearance * Introduces himself to new people by impaling them * Introduced himself to the readers by impaling a bunch of kids to the wall * Erased color from the world (it got fixed though) * Blinded a main character * Wants to kill God He manages to be the best character, joins the protagonists, nobody forgives him for anything, because his arc is actually really well done It's great
Spoliers for One Punch Man: Garou actually is a pretty good example of this as he doesn't actually kill any humans prior to his change and eventually Saitama realizes that Garou wanted to be a hero the whole time.

There's something Woolie brought up in the part 1. About how Naruto and The Nine Tailed Fox are buddy buddy now. Kishimoto also just seemed to absolve him of all the death and destruction he caused. Granted, Obito did use his sharingan mind control on him during the attack on the Leaf Village, but not when he killed Naruto's parents.
why would you even need to forgive the fuking fox. Its a Nine Tailed Fox, its a force of nature. Ok, it is sentient, but it kind of is its job to fuck shit up. Jesus this is so stupid.
Because Kurama, and all the tailed beasts by extension, were 100% justified in their human murdering. Their point of view was always "STOP TRYING TO ENSLAVE ME AS A NUCLEAR BOMB" and the humans going "no". A prisoner of almost 100 years killing the two people trying to immediately recage him is reasonable. Sure it sucks that those two trying to imprison him were alright people but the fact that he was imprisoned in the first place was the problem. After all in canon Kurama only killed people where 'the darkest parts of humanity began to fester'. Be able to sense hate and evil he wiped it out like a goddamn nuclear bomb paladin and then people stated to want to use him as a weapon of more war and evil. Kurama is 100% right in hating the shinobi world and trying to wipe them out whenever he broke out of his wrongful imprisonment.
@@greatfist I'm more bothered by the fact that we weren't given that info til the tail-end of the series(no pun intended). Shikaku even showed us how his prior jinchuriki was kept as a prisoner in a cell for most his life. But this was all dumped in the end of the last arc for sympathy points so that Naruto and Kurama would get along.
I'm glad they talk a bit about the eugenics thing in naruto. I often see fans having discussions that completely dehumanize the characters from this world, such as "how strong do you think a uchiha and hyuuga HYBRID would be?", as if they were indoctrinated by this story to think like this.
You know how it took Vegeta the ENTIRETY of Dragonball Z to turn from an absolute scumback into a more-or-less goodguy, who still dabbled with his past and didn't want to let go of it, to the point where he would let himself put under a curse just to feel it again? In Naruto, he would've been a pure good guy at the end of the ginyu force fight. And everyone would've forgiven and forget his past actions.
I don't even chalk it down to culture, I just think shonen manga/Shonen Jump editorial at that point had a line of thinking where "these characters are popular, and fans want them to have a happy ending. Shonen should be about optimism. Even if there's implications that these people are irredeemable and abusive, we should depict a world that gives them a chance to be better people." Naruto as a series is probably a victim of its popularity and demographic. Its setting was introduced as a cutthroat world of shinobi where corrupt people are in power and children are made to kill each other. You had betrayals, atrocities and the threat of many despicable villains. Then it kept getting more idealistic and I think the moment it jumped the shark was the end of the Pain arc where Kakashi and all the dead villagers had their deaths undone. The series became scared to kill people. Might Guy survives after doing the thing we were told for years would kill you if you did it. The fate for the majority of antagonists became redemption, even if they deserved to die for the amount of genuinely evil things they did. Compare the amount of character deaths that stuck in the Chunin Exam and Invasion of Konoha: Hayate Gekko, Third Hokage, Dosu, Zaku, Kin - to the Great Ninja WAR: Neji, a few parents, Obito. In summary I say the series went on far too long, and the tone and stakes promised in the early arcs changed to become something more kid-friendly and safe. Doesn't stop me from loving a lot of characters and the early worldbuilding. I think Kishimoto can create a huge cast of enjoyable characters and really flesh out a setting, but he's terrible at character development and thematic consistency/awareness.
Its very possible to do a shounen redemption arc with flawless precision where an irredeemable character is redeemed and gets a happy ending. Jellal and Erza from Fairy Tail is all that needs to be said on the topic. Jellal was the main antagonist of the Tower of Heaven arc where he literally brutally enslaved all countless people and bound them into servitude. Manipulated and gaslit everyone. Murdered left and right. Horrifically abused and gaslit and manipulated His childhood sweetheart and love of his life Erza who can never and has never been able to give up on him. And then he literally attempted to kill her with a black hole. Literally summoned and threw a black hole at her only for one of their other childhood friends who (who jellal also enslaved) who was in love with Erza jumps in the way to save her. *From* him. And dies in the process. And Jellal literally laughs about it and mocks the guy for being hopeless and how Erza doesn't love the guy but rather loves him and oh btw. He also fired a giant continent sterilizing magic laser into a densely populated area. AND attempted to deconstruct Erza's body to ressurect and ancient god of death. And after all that. After a man she grew up with who loved her more than anything threw himself into a black hole in her stead to SAVE HER from the man she loved. She still ended up with him and Jellal and Erza are canon now and *deeply* beloved by fans. Even though it took like 15 years of redemption arcs where people said Jellal didn't even deserve to be alive let alone have Erza's love. But if you do it right it the payoff to villains turned lovers and etc can be fantastic. And now theres just comedy hijinks and romcom stuff all over the place. And she literally squatted over his face once while she was nude (this actually happened in the manga its literally canon) and all this stuff. Flashback to the person he used to be compared to who he is now. Its absolutely mindbending but completely effective
But Woolie, is there an anime character stronger than Madara Uchiha? And I'm referring to Rinne Tensei Madara Uchiha with the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan and Rinnegan doujutsus (with the rikidou paths ability) equipped with his Gunbai and control of the juubi and Gedou Mazou, a complete Susano'o, with Hashirama Senju's DNA implanted in his chest so he can perform Mokuton kekkei genkai and yin-yang release ninjutsu as well as being extremely skilled in taijutsu and bukijutsu.
15:22 666 Satan completed actually and not in a "well gotta wrap this up byeeeeeee" way but a satisfying ending way IN ONLY 72 LONG CHAPTERS, Seishi has since made 3 or 4 series including blazer driver and mad chimera world.
Ok I'm pretty sure Sasuke's reason to fight in the end was that he believed the only reason all the villages have come together peacefully was they're common enemy of Madara and Obito. So with no threat they would all start killing each other again. But if he willingly became the new big bad then they would have to stay together to keep him at Bay.
So I can easily explain it, Sasuke wanted to be a dictator for strangely accurate reasons. He want to make sure there a lack of free will so none of this could happen again. Basically Sasuke is saying that the war only happened because idiots like him, Obito and Madara was given free will and people being idiots to let them get this far. It’s why I like dictator Sasuke cause he right and it make sense to come to that conclusion
@@Zeronigel332 Sasuke did nothing wrong! Jokes aside I could get behind his motives and that's why I was at least a bit satisfied by the final fight, but otherwise the second half of the war arc was pure bs.
Yeah he had a reason for his revolution. Even if it was trash the reason was there. Also the "You're so annoying" scene was Sasuke using genjustu on Sakura. I don't know if Storm 4 just chooses not to explain that or they don't make it clear enough but that's how it went down in the manga. Sasuke is still an asshole to Sakura but let's not spread incorrect information here
It's worth asking that if Sasuke's position is so straightforward, why didn't Woolie catch onto it? Eitherway, I feel that the execution, as least as far as NUNS 4 is concerned, falls flat.
I checked out of the manga the moment Pain was able to undo his nuclear strike on Konoha by resurrecting everyone. I was really intrigued at the possibility of the Konoha survivors being a small, nomadic group travelling to stay alive.
25:53, why was it so hard for Sarutobi to just make Naruto a protected class, like some kind of walking nuke vassal? Because, you know...he's a fucking walking nuke. Don't you think it would be in the best interests of your ninja country to make sure the WALKING NUKE doesn't have a terrible childhood and tons of reasons to be resentful and angry at everyone? Imagine if Naruto were as vengeful and angry as Sasuke was. This would have been a very different story.
Despite all the awful lead up to the ending of Naruto the one thing that I have to compliment it for is that there was never a dull moment. 6 years later and Naruto has become a unifier. Were both fans and hater equally have fun talking trash about it.
So fucking stupid, even Sasuke points out Sakura and Naruto literally have no reason to like him. Kakashi at least was prepared to ice his own student.
I remember that when I started watching Hunter x Hunter I had a gut reaction of hate toward Killua and that blonde kid whose name I refuse to learn as i soon as they spoke , and I wasn't sure why. It took a few episodes to realize it was because Sasuke was just a combination of those two characters.
28:14 I looked up this clip he is talking about. During it they subtly tell his daughter that this isn't a talking toy version of the Shukaku that it is the actual beast that the toy is based on. So not only is Naruto letting his daughter hug and fawn over a beast that threatened Gaara's loved ones and made him an insomniac... My cousins that are in college think Sasuke is cool. They don't seem like abusive assholes - I just think they don't care enough about Naruto to actually pay attention to any of the writing.
They don't care about the story cause it's not real. Sasuke looks cool and has cool fight scenes and everything else is irrelevant. At least, that's the only way I can rationalize their thought process.
20:46 that day, the Ninja Nations had their ninja war, the end of the world as they knew it, everything would change forever... for the rest of the world, it was just tuesday, boring same ol' There was probably godzilla, kamen riders, interdimensional bureau and magical girls defending time and space right next door
Their are legit only three good Uchiha( besides Sarda) who didn’t fall to their genetic predisposition of being an asshole and that is Itachi, his friend Shisui and his ancestor Kagami who was in the second great ninja warrior. Also if Woolie ever Looks at anything Naruto related I would want him too watch the Killer B rap Video.
I don't know if Woolie was joking or not but the jab at how war crimes are forgiven if the baddies take notes is the real reason Orochimaru was "just let go". Shikimaru reveals this to Tsunade during the an arc of Boruto where Mitsuki, the "Sasuke-like" of the group, leaves the village, stating the data from his research will be invaluable during an upcoming battle with the moon people (ruclips.net/video/3w078UaMSMY/видео.html). Also, fun fact, Orochimaru is STILL experimenting on children as Mitsuki, his "clone", has a self destruct "bomb" implanted inside him in case people find out his linage AND he once pushed him over the psychological brink by having a second Mitsuki clone (still not 100% on this) pretend to be Mitsuki either as an Adult Clone or his own Adult Self from the future in order to mind-break him into being so stressed it triggers snake sage mode in the child Mitsuki. The only thing more screwed up is that during this mess of plan Orochimaru says to the fake(again not 100% sure) adult clone of Mitsuki while Mitsuki is being forced to listen "Is it wrong for a shinobi like me to desire children?".
I think the Adult Mitsuki was a sort of Boba Fett vs the Other Clone Troopers deal, where Mitsuki and the Adult are both clones of Shikamaru, but for a number of reasons, the young one was left to age normally, presumably so he could improve
You should have seen people denying the fact that other characters work harder than Naruto and are the actual underdog when Plague did his video on it. There were even folks that made videos in response to it calling Plague out on it.
I wish Sasuke's motivation to having his final confrontation with Naruto should have been simply "I want to get rid of all the Tailed Beast (aka: walking nukes, aka: Metal Gear) in the world." Because what has Shippuden been ALL ABOUT?! That's right, the Tailed Beasts and collecting them to rule the world! This would have given a weird dilemma for Naruto and made Sasuke kinda right for wanting to do what he thought would save the world.
@@alexandergriffith1825 Oh absolutely...I agree that Sasuke's dictator angle is very stupid. Though seeing Sasuke go off the deep end is entertaining in its own right.
Orochimaru had his parents die and became obsessed with conquering death, his whole "Tragic" backstory is that he doesn't want to die and wants to be immortal. He then spends several decades farming and eating children and occasionally skinning them to replace his own dying flesh. But he helped kill the final bad so it's cool.
Sasuke's thing is he's technically supposed to be banished for life from the village, rather than completely handwaving his crimes because even if they didn't NOBODY WOULD EVER FUCK WITH SASUKE due to the events of the Ninja War. But eventually that gets just completely ignored cause once Naruto's Hokage Sasuke just comes over and visits whenever the fuck he wants and it's played like he's the "Shadow Hokage"- he's literally the Yakuza that stands behind the Ninja President so it still has some form of underlying animosity with the other Rookie 9 and older Ninjas. EXCEPT EVEN THAT'S COMPLETELY THROWN OUT THE WINDOW BECAUSE IN BORUTO THEY REVEAL HE'S A SUPER SECRET RARE IN THE NINJA YUGIOH GAME THAT BORUTO AND FRIENDS PLAY...AS HIS MODERN KINGPIN SELF. But then again so is other villains including Orochimaru so idk I guess Naruto is in an alternate universe where OJ Simpson would still be on fucking Football cards.
I knew a dude in collage who INSISTED that the filler in any show was mandatory, he always bragged about how he watched everything like a "real fan", he was also the guy who would Naruto run everywhere. I wonder what happened to him
Gonna prob get hate for this. But i have a rant. Naruto as a series is one of the worst examples i can think of of power creep ruining a series. People say dragon ball but there is a key difference, that show puts forward there r kamehamehas and stuff and those just get bigger. Ninjas in Naruto r supposed to be like for hire spec ops, at least this is how i took it as presented in the show originally. They are assassins and they live in HIDDEN villages. The moment power creep became an issue was the moment Haku used her ice mirrors. That is the earliest example i can think of of something that is not for ninja purposes. That is purely for combat. From there, everything needs to get bigger and stronger instead of being stealthy LIKE A NINJA Edit: Haku is an amazing character and is awesome. However to that point, we saw techniques for stealth or assassination
I think you go a bit sooner than that. From the moment people start summoning giant water dragons, you could already guess this wouldn't be about normal ninjas anymore. But if you wanna ask what really broke the camel's back for me, it was Pain. Up until that point, you could still justify the crazy bullshit into just being exceptions to the norm, like Sasori transforming an entire country's worth of people into puppets, or Deidara turning himself into a nuke. But everything Pain did from moment one was just the most over the top shit ever. What kind of "ninja art" just lets you control gravity? It made no sense at all. Also, Haku was a boy. I know this has nothing to do with what we're talking about, or changes anything, but I just thought I'd let you know.
JoJones yeah ik, easy to forget when ur typing up a rant that its a he. But at least the water dragon i can justify as a one hit kill move. Its quick. The ice mirrors takes way too long
Gregg Bui yeah but thats like a backstory. They dont tell u anything about it other than its a giant fox they sealed away in a boy. I thought it was just gonna be a plot device to make it so naruto is sad as a child and has a get out of jail free card when the writing needs it. I dont think anyone thought that it would end up as the center of the plot
shoutouts to Sarada Uchiha's god awful fashion sense. another thing the genetically evil red eyed ninjas should have gotten genocide slider'd for ontop of being all around awful.
Sarada is alright. I guess having 2 awful influences as parents is all it takes for an Uchiha to straighten out. It never occurred to me how prevalent the "all can be forgiven no matter how atrocious the crime" is with Japanese medium, but judging from Japan's extensive history of atrocious crimes and their refusal to admit to them it makes perfect sense.

Seven Deadly Sins really should have ended with the Demon Lord as the final villain, all the stuff with Merlin and Arthur already taken care of, and the Sins sharing one last drink on the hilltop where Meliodas and Elizabeth met at the start of the series right before Escanor fades away. It also should have never brought up the concept of power levels.
Minor thing while I was reading Boruto: Orochimaru is under constant surveillance by leaf ninja and is only allowed to live so long as he continues doing research for the leaf in preparation for more of Kaguya's alien family members to come.
The first half of the final naruke fight is SO GOOD because you have 10 years of rivalry culminating and they're COUNTERING EACH OTHER'S BREAD AND BUTTER TRICKS like sasuke repeatedly breaking up naruto's shadow clone sign and then it devolves back into dragon ball my beast bomb is bigger bullshit. Can we get some Fs in chat bois.
That fight started out so good, every counter was clean! The combos, the mix between justus and fists, all of that helped show everything that was cool about the series...Then susanoo armor and kurama cloak came into the game. It was okay, but then it became a beam struggle.
@@normandy2501 Good point, I liked when the two were so tired that they couldn't even do their ninja magic and just started throwing hands like a pair of angry drunks.
You see the forgiveness thing in any long-running series. Vegita in DB is a prime example. The X-Men has forgiven Magneto dozens of times. One of the worst examples I can think of is Yakuza, where Kiriyu forgives literal human trafficers the second he's beaten them up, without them ever showing the slightest hint of regret or any sign of changing their ways. In Zero he even employs them afterwards.
Because that wasn't actually the message of the show, it was just the message of Rock Lee's character arc vs Neji, but because the Chunin exams are what everybody remembers they extrapolate that onto the show as a whole even if that's not the show's overall message. (which was about the cycles of revenge and hate)
@@MajoraZ I get that. But it also has to do with character as well. Naruto being constantly promoted as the underdog still invokes the idea of hard work is everything. The whole idea of the show could revolve around hate and revenge, but Naruto being the most vocal character in the show kinda dilutes it.
@@greggbui3779 well, considering those "three moves" each took an entire arc and other characters express the hard work theme during other arcs, like sakura in the mission to rescue garaa or sasuke half the times shippuden focuses on him, the theme is present quite heavily. and you understand a series can have more than one theme, right? the core message of lord of the rings is about letting nature take its course and how all good things eventually end, but it's also about friendship and brotherhood and learning more about yourself, etc. this narrow minded obsession people like you seem to have with defining a story by a single thematic element is starting to become worrying.
Body snatcher, child killer/kidnapper, war criminal Orochimaru gets invited to Naruto's wedding. The man actually has a cellar full of dead children and he gets invited to the Hokage's wedding. What the fuck.

"o just kill it, it would be good if that matter is taking of me hands, be the way how is me son doing?". Naruto goes "hes doing fine" all smiley like dumbass and then just leave. Also they comment on how he looks so young at the beginiing and his like "you know why, so dont bother me about it" he still jumping bodies, doing fucked up shit without cheks or balances and Naruto is cool with all of it. It always got on my nerves that there was all these different villages with there own headbands and styles but really only 3 have anyone strong in them. I can only think of one guy from the waterfall village and God remember the fucking sound village.
That's why I prefer Gintama over naruto or any type of anime ( or show ) that has the same kind of storytelling. Sure, most episodes of Gintama are focused on humor and troll or reference jokes ( of course Naruto's included also 😂 ), but when the show gets to its serious episodes/arcs, it gets Serious. Which makes them more entertaining, narratively coherent, even logicly ( which is a surprise, since its gintama were talking about here ), more emotional/heart wrenching. And the plot-lines of the arcs are alot less convoluted, and more down to earth, which makes them more believable compared to naruto's mess of a narrative.

Naruto feels like one of those "rags to riches" stories that billionaires love, where it starts out saying they were an underdog that got rich through hard work but as you keep reading it turns out that they were rich to begin with and always had every advantage given to them.
The Elon Musk Fairy Tale
Oh god, Naruto is a fucking chakra trust fund kid. Thanks, I hate it even more.
But Naruto didn't have every advantage from the start so it isn't like that at all.
One of the core messages of Naruto is that revenge is bad and you should stop doing it because it leads to an endless cycle.

Memes aside, the Uchiha have a terrible curse of a power, AND were being manipulated by Kaguya's will, where's the actual racism in there? The Sharingan activates with emotions in the brain, that has nothing to do with race, just a bloodline jutsu working in incovinient ways. Cursed powers that bring suffering are a common trope and it's not directedly associated with racism, even because the Uchihas aren't a race, they're a "cursed" bloodline thanks mostly to B. Zetsu.
He was so right about the Uchihas, even an Uchiha agreed with him
Omar Jimenez
When I said he caused everything I meant that his actions set in motion literally everything.
Abdega
Yes, the Uchiha who single handedly killed the rest (proving he was the strongest and most well trained therefore the biggest threat) that then didn’t kill himself or his little brother while still killing the rest of the children that weren’t related to him and then going rouge.

With you being subtly (and not so subtly) guided into fullfilling pre-requisites of the prophecy so that you might just become a convincing chosen one.
Though that is also left to the player interpretation, and if you so chose you can just believe that, yes, you are a god reborn.

There is actually a manga, where a villain joins the protagonists and he straight up says to them that he won't change and *lives up to this statement,* and the villain is genuinely one of the most likeable people in it, despite
* Ripping the face off of the girl he liked to see if he loved her, or just her appearance
* Introduces himself to new people by impaling them
* Introduced himself to the readers by impaling a bunch of kids to the wall
* Erased color from the world (it got fixed though)
* Blinded a main character
* Wants to kill God
He manages to be the best character, joins the protagonists, nobody forgives him for anything, because his arc is actually really well done

why would you even need to forgive the fuking fox.
Even if there's implications that these people are irredeemable and abusive, we should depict a world that gives them a chance to be better people."
Naruto as a series is probably a victim of its popularity and demographic.
Half the cast in Dragon Ball.
Our lord and savior BoBoBo
I mean, aren't all the main characters by the end of TTGL?
The question is in terms of a shows own setting in universe. it wouldn't be Half the cast in DB; it would be a key example like Whis or Jiren.
No, there isn't. Madara Uchiha is so strong even the dude that wrote him doesn't know how to defeat him.

Code geass done wrong. basically.

And Itachi massacred his whole family, while Shisui was okay with brainwashing everyone "for the greater good".
Arruda “you lack genetic eye powers sasuke“
I wish Sasuke's motivation to having his final confrontation with Naruto should have been simply "I want to get rid of all the Tailed Beast (aka: walking nukes, aka: Metal Gear) in the world." Because what has Shippuden been ALL ABOUT?! That's right, the Tailed Beasts and collecting them to rule the world! This would have given a weird dilemma for Naruto and made Sasuke kinda right for wanting to do what he thought would save the world.
Sasuke did want to kill the bijus though. He just didn't leave it at that by including the other Kage.
@@Muu0934 That's correct, but I just think the whole dictator of the world thing was dumb as hell.

He then spends several decades farming and eating children and occasionally skinning them to replace his own dying flesh.
But he helped kill the final bad so it's cool.
And then we get to Bort, who has opponents with such fearsome abilities as a fucking machine gun.
EXCEPT EVEN THAT'S COMPLETELY THROWN OUT THE WINDOW BECAUSE IN BORUTO THEY REVEAL HE'S A SUPER SECRET RARE IN THE NINJA YUGIOH GAME THAT BORUTO AND FRIENDS PLAY...AS HIS MODERN KINGPIN SELF. r/anime subscribers say this all the time. reddit hivemind likes garbage for some reason
From there, everything needs to get bigger and stronger instead of being stealthy LIKE A NINJA
Edit: Haku is an amazing character and is awesome.

Naruto gives us the message "hard work is everything," and only Sakura and Rock Lee show that.
