do you need to get a safety inspection to renew your registration?

Not that I know of.. It was not listed in the requirements.. Safety as I know is only when you are selling or transferring the ownership of the vehicle.. Might be wrong though.

do you still need a sticker i heard you just reregister your license plate for free

Last time I checked, no sticker just reregister, but do check it again with the authorities
