The genius behind this band is Charly Garcia. The best rock star from Latin America. Apart from his single Career , I will recommend you SERU GIRAN, specially the discs "LA GRASA DE LAS CAPITALES" and "BICICLETA".
6:17 It's very curious and incredible, because when you say that it gives you chills when the singer (Charly) makes his voice thicker at this point, he is literally saying: "And if this final song scares you or you don't make sense of it, you can change the dial, listen to something more fun"
Bienvenido a este mundo amigo! SERU GIRAN ALMENDRA PESCADO RABIOSO AQUELARRE VOX DEI (La Biblia) ...y muchas mas. Un abrazo desde Bariloche, Patagonia Argentina
Great reaction 👍From this same band "Ah, te vi entre las luces" is also very good, more mood changes and less manic, it's like 11 minutes long but well worth a listen.
As for other bands to check out, half of this band (drummer and songwriter/singer/keyboards) went on to form Serú Girán in 1977-78, their bassist is a fucking beast! I'll request something from them in twitch when I have the chance
Outstanding is a very accurate word to say, bro please i beg you to deep dive into early Charly García's stuff, pure and absolute brilliantness. I mean, he was classical piano concertist and teacher at 12 already, also born with perfect pitch...Sui Generis, La maquina de hacer pajaros, Seru Giran....all the magic in there is more than the magic you even know exists
Man this band was created by Charly García, one of the best artist that Argentina has, but you have to react to the absolutely best artist, and huge inspiration for Charly, Luis Alberto Spinetta, if you like prog rock I highly recommend you "Azafata del tren fantasma" from Invisible, one of his most important bands, and then his album "el jardin de los presentes", best argentinian album ever imo
Great reaction! I suggest you to keep checking more songs from them! My recommendations would be "Que se puede hacer salvo ver películas" (from the same album) and "Ah te vi entre las luces" (from the previous album). In my opinion, they are one if not the best progressive rock band from our country. Cheers!
welcome to Argentine rock... you will have material to work with for years!!! ... excellent reaction, you will be surprised with the quantity and quality of bands ... I recommend you react to the song " ah te vi entre las Luces (by the band " La Maquina de Hace Pajaros ") and the song " Sombras en los alamos "(Spinetta Jade Band) greetings from Argentina
If you enjoyed this you should definitely check Charly García's carreer! He's a musical genius that went through a lot of genres; rock, prog rock, pop, jazzy stuff... always with an impecable taste on melodies and harmony (he was trained in classical music and it tells). Been able to make really complex stuff and with no fear of being simple aswell. If you are a music lover he is just so enjoyable. Here in argentina he is consider a god and everyone loves him haha Keep it up!!
You have a lot to discover in this lands and you started GREAT. You already have a lot of recommendations below in the commentaries, I hope to see your reaction of Almendra, Pescado Rabioso or Invisible soon! Happy listening!
Saludos.

This band was from the mid-70’s and had a bunch of musicians that were incredibly talented, starting with the brain of the band Charly Garcia. Their music was influenced by the great bands like Yes, ELP, Génesis etc with an Argentinian sound.
Big influence of 70s British prog-rock bands in Argentina (Charly Garcia said of this band "we are the Argentinian YES") very big here in those years Yes, King Crimson, Genesis - you can hear total Bill Bruford in the drums, the bass-guitar tight lick in the background is pure Chris Squire-Steve Howe school.. Here is a list of almost 40 prog-rock/psychodelic bands from Argentina in the 70s (the biggest ones were lead by Charly Garcia and Spinetta who were recommended to you in another comment - also Crucis (big Yes influence there too) Arco Iris, Aquelarre, MIA, Ave Rock and many many more: ruclips.net/p/PLBSoHOC9cllTze59nx0euqzURBo8BZU-x Here are two samples, one of early 70s from Charly Garcia's first band ("SuI Generis") their third album was a conceptual rock-prog/symphonic work (you can see ELP/Rick Wakeman's etc influence here: ruclips.net/video/trXB4JwI6CI/видео.html And this one is from early 80s where you can hear influence I believe from Genesis "Duke" (or the first albums after the departure of Peter Gabriel, not yet before they went full pop): ruclips.net/video/PcfJpAj1nX4/видео.html By the way, Charly Garcia also went pop after the 80s (thought always with his own seal, and often very elaborated pop at that!) It feels very Latin American, since Charly was inspired by "candombe" which is a South American rhythm, decided that he was going to make a "hyper-candombe." Now, if you liked this song, you will surely like "Invisible", more specifically "El jardín de los presentes", the best album-
