The song is written for band mate Paul Kossof who was going though band times during this time and recording sessions were not going smoothly. BTW I hear Paul Kossof's dad was quite well known in classical musical circles and may well have introduced the idea of playing the guitar with the bow to Jimmy Page

    Great stuff Jon,
Yes, its such a shame, how Paul Kossof passed away si young. His slowhand style if bluesy rock , guitar playing was very unique, and always recognizable. sometimes the cost of stardome comes with a high price. No doubt he and Free would have probably stayed together a long time. and gone on to be mega stars. and maybe Bad Company would have never existed. Rip Paul Kossof.
    Long live Rock!

I'm a big Free fan, and if you're looking for another good song for a reaction video, check out their "Mr Big." Each member of the band shined, but Andy Fraser's bass work especially stands out.

They disbanded due to the tragic death of Paul Kossoff, guitarist from a heroin overdose!

Nope. Paul Kossoff died in 1976--several years after Free broke up.

I saw Paul Rodgers onstage with Jimmy Page. I was a bit disappointed with it to tell you the truth.
