Hi Michele, I used to be a content creator and influencer and it burned me out. For me, the stress it caused made it not fun anymore and the joy was sucked out because I had the "I have to do this" mentality. You might ask yourself why you are creating your content - does it make you happy? The money? The PR? Do only the content that makes you happy and let the other stuff go you feel you *have* to do. If it feels like chore, it is, and you're forcing yourself to do platforms that don't call to you and they don't resonate with who you are. Who says you have to anyways? You don't have to do it all and that's ok. To be honest, I follow you because you aren't on everything out there and over saturated like so many. You are unique and to me, that is part of your appeal. Stay well.

I'm enjoying the vlogs with beauty scattered in here and there. I've been with Michelle from the get go and she hasn't changed. Sweet and not let the amount of subscribers go to her head. I feel there may be some jealousy around her by other influceners but all they need do is remain true to yourself and your onto a winner

Exactly! I love this channel just for what it is. Making coffee, chats about MissButter's poos, knitting, going out, choosing the right fabric for the coach, and ALSO make up and fashion reviews. But all in the easy going way like only Michele can do. I am aware that there is a massive load of work behind the vlogs, but this lack of hectic reviews of any luxurious stuff out there is just a bliss. Stay cool Michele!
Do whatever makes you happy. Seriously. I'd rather watch a happy Michelle than a stressed Michelle who's trying to keep to a schedule she doesn't want to keep. Choose what makes you happy ❤️

Michele, I love your content as so many others do, yet I believe what another person said is true - you have to enjoy what you're doing in order to keep doing it. Whether its one day a week or more, I for one am here for it. You're just real with all of us. I am so sorry its been a struggle, and I hope you find the happy medium. Hi Michele, you're my fave channel for luxury make-up and style, hands down. Re what you said about scheduling content etc: I love your vlogs because they feel so organic and I feel it's vital for me to identify with influencers as a regular person, not someone with the perfectly scheduled life or a professional, as such. Your knowledge is huge but a professional take would be me going to see a SA at Fendi, or whatever and they are paid to sell me something, whereas you feel like a regular friend doing a Zoom chat about things we both love. So weird about the Cacio e Pepe at Eataly! I had it for the first time at the one in Chicago not long after it opened and one of the cooks showed me how they made it. It was just pasta, cheese, pepper, and water from the pasta. I make it a few times per year and it’s always amazing!

I love that you're not all over social media - I only watch YT and don't subscribe to any other platform. I love turning on your vids and just listening to you, regardless of what you're talking about. I hope you don't change and subscribe to what everyone else is doing. I think asking a subscriber (at least those of us who have things to do in our life) to catch someone on YT, then Tick Tock, then Instagram, etc., is crazy. I think of old fashioned tv watching - we had our fav shows and we tuned into that channel to watch it. PS I often will listen to vids of yours that I've already watched - while I fall asleep. Don't take that wrong LOL I just love the sound of your voice. :)

Michele- as an early 20s big fan of your content who’s very much in the beginning of (my) creative journey. The past year and a half post graduation has been a weird limbo of burnout and confusion I completely understand your thoughts of sort of uncertainty and the struggle of really sticking to something. So it feels so relatable you being this honest 🥺🤝🏾and so I feel even just making small incremental effort’s to add something new to your Arsenal is commendable in itself as the hardest part of doing that is really sticking to it. So yeah not that you need me to say anything but seriously you being you and being honest and putting out whatever you want in any form/platform and you always changing it up for the best is all we care about and want to see. I started watching you last fall . I found your morning coffee and makeup tutorials made me feel happy to start my day . I can relate with the struggle of keeping up with all social platforms. I have a schedule for my long form YT content, but for the rest, it's whenever and whatever clicks at that time. It's not the best idea but it's so hard to keep up. I always forget to post on TikTok. 😮
And I've neglected my blog, and it's probably what we should keep up with more. I'm also working on an online course (related to my full time job, accounting and taxes, lots of fun LOL)

25:00 The best way to "boil" eggs is to steam them. It's far less water which means it's quicker to boil to create the steam.

I don’t watch shirt form content. Only because I’m not able to get information on items I want information on. I enjoy your vlogs. But I feel that I do watch more RUclips that is people sharing their everyday life. If their cleaning, cooking and feel like I’m watching a series and more real life. Like a documentary of people’s lives and how they share their good days and bad days. I used to do only beauty but I prefer chatting in the car and only a few sit down chats. I always feel that when you film and come across naturally then you know that will be your niche Michelle. To be honest when you sat on the couch and gave us your honest thought it was so relatable. I would love to see more jewelry and everyday items you just love. Content calendar has never worked for me. Or have you thought of doing a podcast video every so often. You talk naturally to your audience and I feel that you could come up with topics in a podcast. In the end go with your gut instinct sweetie.

Having viewed the whole post, I feel I must say that I started following or at least got into your channel (and RUclips) due to your post on losing a parent. At the time I also lost a parent and found comfort in things like make-up tutorials as opposed to taking care of my family from having a mom who then died from frontal lobe dementia. And your post just caught me from being so real and genuine while also being able to think about those non serious things like make up. I remember asking another like makeup RUclipsr a question about make up at this time and the response I got was that I was rude for not following her other channels etc. So my point is that regardless of the format I think long term connection is about just that, that feeling of connection. So continue doing makes you happy and feel genuine and that will resonate will your viewers

I can't imagine keeping up with the changing environment in social platforms. Change is difficult in any 'work' environment, but yes this is a lot. I believe there will always be a long form media platform, so please continue doing what you're doing💙.
I have a number of reactions. With respect to content creation, I had a blog for eight years, and found it a lot of work and time, plus no monetization. Hours and hours of responding to comments. I was also on Flickr -- more time and effort. I left FB years ago, have a minimal presence on IG and now Threads. Twitter has tanked and so I no longer post there. I am working on a memoire for my family and have more time available for that. I am concentrating on Yelping since we eat out weekly. Planning a trip to France, taking care of my home and pets in this unforgiveable heat -- that's enough for me! Your work must be so formidable. Thanks for doing it, though. Off topic, but I did purchase the halogen skirt from Nordstrom and agree it is really nice! It is heavy. I am wondering if you hang this skirt up as it has the elastic band. I am afraid that there will be imprints in the elastic band if you use a pants/skirt hanger with clips. Or do you not hang it up and just fold it??? Thanks!!!

As for schedules, I'm right there with you. I used to work a *very* rigidly scheduled job and once I left that, I was overwhelmed with relief (at not having to be somewhere at *precisely* a certain time) and at the same time felt frozen from the lack of schedule. So I get the desire for freedom (to post or do what seems most important or interesting on the day). And I also have come to rely on and appreciate a loose schedule for me of roughly the same or similar activities on roughly the same or similar days and times. Sending lots of supportive love xxx

You'll always get people that want more or want different, fine, there's alot of influencers out there that will suffice. Blog, personally for me is more difficult, as I'm lazy - I'd rather watch than read, however, I'll make an effort to try 😊

Life work balance. Aren't we in charge of our schedules? RUclips is great, but I personally and I speak for myself, had to get honest as to what I could handle. I would love to do YT. But I have family responsibilities that I need to attend to as well as myself! ....and my sanity. And there should be no shame in that. Love your content Michele. Do what you got to do. :)

Next time get a block of pecorino from Costco and grate it, I think it makes a big difference. I also pour some olive oil on mine so that I don’t have to use a lot of butter. Yours looked quite good.

MICHELE - get butters swimming it’s helped so much with my frenchie she’s a nutcase limitless energy brat!! Force her with a life jacket at first but then they’ll obsessed to chase a ball in the water or a Floatie❤❤❤AND good for you too❤

@@TheMicheleWang outward hound has the best we’ve tried over 4 lol. The one with the head lifting strap is helpful with flat faced dogs. I forced her she was so scared but then realized she could swim and it was so freeing and fun. Especially for Vegas wow that would be a perfect cool off❤️ GOOD LUCK!
The heat here in vegas is no joke lol I’ve been walking in the afternoons usually it’s 7:30-8 when I’m going out and even then it’s still in the high 90s lol I did see Tuesday will be 93!! Lol
