Beautiful song. I lost my granny 2 years ago but still break down and cry when I think of the bond we had. She was my bestfriend. The hole in my heart is in the shape of her and no one can fill it. It will forever be empty.😢
All or most of these celebs have been dead for decades. But I guess it's good to remember them by this lovely tribute song by the lovely CeCe Wynans-Love! 😍😇💞💛💕
"I know that it is impossible to name all of the great Black entertainers when doing something like this but, you did a very good job! I was looking for Jimi Hendrix RIP-1970."
R.I.P. my boy Wylie Draper!!! He is the man on 0:37. He portrayed Michael Jackson a.k.a THE KING OF POP ON THE MINI-SERIES THE JACKSONS : AN AMERICAN DREAM. HE DID AN INCREDIBLE, TERRIFIC,EXCELLENT,FABULOUS,ETC. ALL OF THE POSITIVE STATEMENTS YALL CAN THINK OF, HIS PERFORMANCE WAS ALL OF IT AND 100,000,000,000,000,000 TIMES!!!! I MISS HIM SO MUCH!!!! HE WOULD HAVE BEEN HUGE IF HE DID NOT DIE FROM LEUKEMIA IN 1993. BUT HE IS WHERE HE BELONGS, AND MICHAEL IS WITH HIM TO. RIP WYLIE DRAPER!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you for showing June Pointer. She was a funny and wonderful woman. It was a blessing to have known her. A great sadness to see her go away. Rest in Heaven
Roslyn Heyward, I just saw the newer version of the Shaft movie with Samuel Jackson, and her. Her son (Mikai Pfeifer) was killed by a racist thug whose rich daddy kept bailing him out of jail and other trouble when he committed a crime and she got tired of seeing him get away with them especially with murdering her son and she got a gun, waited outside when he came out of court and popped a cap in him. I love justifiable endings like that. 😉😊
I LOVE THE SONG AND ALL THE PEOPLE WHO I LIKE AND LISTEN TO. THEY WILL NOT BE FORGOTTEN. THEY WILL BE MISSED, BUT ALWAYS BE IN OUR HEARTS. MAY THEIR SOULS RIP!
Rest in peace Supernova AKA Lisa Left Eye Lopes.. it was such a great honor for me to go to your open funeral that took place at New Birth Baptist Church. A woman pulled me to the side to get in line because it was so packed and I was thankful that I made it.
To: All the viewers, and posters remember we all don't know the time of hour it's Bible sure if we are born sure we will die for all those that have gone Rip one day someone will say the same about us Rip why you are living. Peace posters.
Remember guys this is from 11 years ago. Which means this was made in 2009. That's the same year Michael and Whitney passed. Time line might of been a tad late. But then again, Bernie Mac was on here and he passed I believe in 2008. So you guys could have a point
Where Redd Foxx ( he played by Fred Sanford in Sanford and Son) Sherman Hemsley ( he played by George Jefferson ) Whitney Houston ( she sing heartbreak hotel in 1999) Michael Jackson ( he sing bad 1987)
I know one person people may have forgotten but should be on here, Robin Harris (BeBe's Kids, House Party). Also, Michelle Thomas was way too beautiful to leave us so soon. RIP to all who left us, including the recent celebrities who passed.
Thank you for creating this...Omg! Lynn Thigpen😭No one will ever know how much I loved Carmen Sandiego! I miss her and disgusted I didn't keep up w her career.
They all inspired to Everyone that’s watched tv they make historical happenings today may they all r.i.p & they now in a better place amen 🙏😇😇✝️ Good Memories they still around 😭😭😭😍😍😍

It's amazing that you would mention this bright star, I had an opportunity to go to her open funeral when I was out of high school in 98 it was so packed that I was trying to get in line in a lady offer to let me in line with her. She was truly an angel that was one of a kind that got took advantage of while she was on this human playing field
R.I.P. For the ones in the video, and the ones that did'nt make the cut. I feel soo old & I'm only 33. I grew up to most of the people in this clip. They say death is a part of life, but I still can't help feeling sorrow
Just a week shy of the one-year anniversary of the death of her longtime companion Phillips, Renée Diggs also died (March 18, 2005) at the age of 50, due to a heart condition. Her album Oasis was finally released in the U.S., posthumously
Yeah I know, everyone can't be include or we forget some, so here is my four to add to the list, that are gone too soon: Florence Griffen Joyner (Flo Jo) (the sexiest olympic star and track runner on the planet back in the day) Isabel Sanfford (Weezy) Roxie Roker (Helen on the Jeffersons and Lenny Kravitz mother) Rosland Cash (very underrated veteran actress, but finally got her props by winning an Emmy on General Hospital, her last acting role before she passed away)
We need to do a updated version of this....because Vesta dided recently and not much has been said about that. She really was an amazing singer.....to say the least.
3:06 Oh man, I never knew that Rerun passed away. When I was a kid I used to watch "What's Happening" and "Welcome Back Kotter" religiously. I heard that Horseshack passed away too. All my 70's stars are starting to pass away. :( I don't care if they are black or white, I love them all.
How true. I love all those T.V. friends of yesteryear..a good show, good acting Black or White. I watched What s Happening, Welcome Back Kotter, The Waltons, Family Matters,,, back a few years, Get Smart, Julia and so many classic GREAT shows with great talent

Yep I met Tupac and Biggie Smalls here in East Oakland California back in the early 90s Tupac was my best friend's friend rap name is the governor also I was Tupac's inspiration play your cards right by Alice Myers
I would've expected Josephine Baker & Paul Robeson among these people. Then again, they didn't die tragically young. This was still a wonderful, heartfelt clip. Thank you for sharing.
There were some of these people that I didn't know that they died! Others I had forgotten that they passed away! I'm really going to miss some of these talented people!
Some of these people were very young. Sad they are gone. I was surprised no mention of Otis Redding. He was becoming well known when I was in the service. One of my pals had a battery powered record player. When we were at base camp in Chu Lai, Vietnam he played music. That was in 1967. We were listening to one of Otis's songs when a guy came running in and said, "Dammit, Otis' plane went down in Madison, WI." I about lost it, that is my hometown. Right before Christmas. Bad news.
Marvin Gaye, Tammy Terrell, Aretha Franklin, Tina Marie, Eddie Kendrick David Ruffin, to all of the original TEMPTATIONS that has passed away, the FOUR TOPS, all MOTOWN singers that has passed away too
Hey hiphopstara. What a nice video you have put together. Very amazing. Although you forgot to add one celebrity. He is WWE Hall Of Famer Junk Yard Dog. Overall...excellent job. ;)
Beautiful song. I lost my granny 2 years ago but still break down and cry when I think of the bond we had. She was my bestfriend. The hole in my heart is in the shape of her and no one can fill it. It will forever be empty.😢
She's with you always..remember that
I'm sorry for your loss, and I know what you're going through, because I lost both of my grandmothers too , so I get it
I grew up listening to this song, this is my mom's favorite song.
Everytime I hear it, I get teary eyed.
CeCe Winans made a touching song.
She deserved a grammy, and an oscar for this beautiful song right here
Huge fan of Lynn Thigpen. Loved her acting and personality. Sad for all.really.

I liked her in the movie Lean on Me with Morgan Freeman.
This really tugged at my heart strings. I'm shamed there were some I did not know of. Thank you for this tribute!
Its sad that this talented black star didn't get the recognition she so deserved. The media didn't let us know she passed away...SMH.
It takes a great spirit of compassion to do a tribute like this........much thanks!!
