Just something I noticed, private matches also count for wins in battle records. I don't know how likely your opponents played private matches or does they also push your elo to next bracket. But maybe this info helps you
After I got my 5-streak for the event, I threw A LOT just to be cool. When the event was over, I played some more and it took a LONG time to get paired and I got matched with the same guy three times in a row. He conceded almost immediately two times and then we finally played a real match. It was then, that I knew there was a rhyme and reason to matchmaking. I won a few games, and then I got paired quickly again until it felt like a 50/50 win lose once more. So yeah, if you lose enough, it tries to give you easy games. And I'm betting if you win enough, you'll get harder match-ups.
Thanks for providing some anecdotes. We are certainly looking for data to support theories on ranks/ELO in the game, or perhaps just "win count". Help us figure it out by filling out the form forms.gle/HwBf8sZzjPoGompS8
I've threw 100s of games using mumu macros to afk battles and I still get matched instantly with high level accounts and their skill level seems to be similar. I think the amount of wins combined with account levels is more likely than actual mmr okay I just watched more of the vid and seems like you already realized this lmao
I found that after my girlfriend beat me at least a dozen times in a row (at Pokémon) on private battles I got much easier games when I started playing versus again. It could have just been a coincidence, but to me it seems like the private matches might affect the match making too
In all events so far I noticed that after completing it, I was getting opponents with the completed event badge much more often. I'm not saying you go to a new bracket and can ONLY fight people who cleard the event because I've already played against people with the badge before getting it myself, but it defenetly makes a difference
Probably some kind of sbmm or eomm like call of duty. Skill based or engagement optimized matchmaking. They use an ai system to put you against someone similar while also giving you almost predetermined wins and losses if you don’t conform to there wishes
My conjecture is that once you have reached the max emblem in an event you will only be paired with others who have the emblem already to prevent gaming the system for others by auto conceding. I try to do that at every event once I have done my grind but nearly everyone I come across at that point are already showing the emblem off. So from now on I'll do some mass conceding before starting the grind.
It's not rare to play against someone using the max emblem without getting it yourself so it's not true that you will be playing ONLY those who got the emblem too. But I've also noticed that you get opponents with the emblem way more often, I also think that there is some influence in who you face
This is awesome, thanks so much. Can you please do a deep dive into the coin flip cheat mechanic? There is a website that says they did testing, but it is SOOOO unsatisfying because they just assert and do not show any data. You have a great grasp of data collection and testing!...."Our team also conducted our own tests using the iPhone's Switch Control function to toss the coin multiple times in the same way during a Solo Match. Although the speed, rotation, and pattern were always consistent, the results still varied." But
10:37. You could just get cued into opponents with lower winrate percentage, which we can't tell by the sheer numbers of wins. I can have 100 wins but maybe I lost 500 and that would cue me into noobs above the treshhold circa >20 wins total.
We can only obtain data that we are given. So while percentage win rate may be important, we can only collect and analyse the data available to us. However, if we find that there *is* a correlation to win count, but it's a loose correlation, then the next natural assumption may be that win rate matters.
I tried getting the 20 wins to try this too, in the event i was getting matched against lvl 25-47 almost every game, couldnt win with my lvl 7 deck, then i switched to the beginner lobby and it was much more similar to my own account (lvl8-15) After 20 wins though i didnt manage to match against myslef in the tcg lobby wven after 50 tries. I am still only lvl 9 so maybe that matters too
Yes, there is a ranking system. Same as you I had two alt accounts that matched together at one time and they’re both at one win I think from people conceding at the event since I don’t use them for pvp
Is using one hourglass for stamina packs enough for the missions? I am planning on saving as much as possible for next expansion, but current missionas are asking for too much, even asks for a 5 packs with hourglasses which is too much for 6 days. So if I open one with less than an hour left in the timer it should count right. Happy New Year Brovinnie
you dont need to spend hourgasses to complete the misssions. you finish it for free with wonderpick, solo battle event, 2 daily free packs and the event mythical island packs
Just to clarify, even tho i said "2 daily packs" in my comment above. more explained is you dont need to spend hourglasses to complete the 5 pack mission. Don't even need to spend 1 hourglass.
We are updating and enforcing rules daily. However we are also getting new members daily. Our mods are working hard to ensure the safety and efficiency as much as possible. Unfortunately with massive demand for god packs that are hosted for free, this kind of thing is expected.
This is outrageous!!! Cosmog is clearly the strongest. Deserves to be on top! Shocking tierlist 😱 Calyrex Shadow literally has grass type moves as it's weakness. (Gettit? Cuz it's a horse) Shaking my head* Jk jk don't report me. Technically it eats grass so should be strong... Hmmm
If this ranking system is applied in badge event matches it is totally unfair! you should not be put at a disadvantage as a better player / have a more easy time just cause your a bad player! especially in a 5 win Badge PvP event! i really hope this isnt the case in these kind of events!
There is totally a hidden MMR system. I have an account that I've played since launch, with about a 62% win rate, every card, every emblem etc. Yes, I pay money. I'm an adult with a well paying job... I made a burner account to see if there were signs of an MMR. On my main, I only get queued into players with 300+ wins, level ~28 or above, and the competition is pretty good. Always tournament meta type decks, and skilled players overall. On the burner account, I played against total newbies with completely random decks, a low win amount, store emblems, etc. On a side note, on my main during that win streak event, I noticed a huge shift in opponent MMR, and secured that dumb emblem in 8 games. One loss due to Staru getting Misty Articuno'd (taste of my own medicine!) off the rip on game 3. I suspect the MMR was lowered or removed for that event queue.
I have over 350 wins and all the decks. If I'm on a win Streak of more than 3, I have to swap to the Mewtwo deck, because the algorithm starts giving me type matchups I'm weak to and Mewtwo is the deck with the least frequently used counters. If I change to any other deck when I'm 3 wins up, the next person I fight will be the exact counter, and they will draw all their cards early
I have 700 wins and good winrate still get matched with people who have like 30 wins or less often. I think they do a system like pokemon unite to keep kids enjoying pvp, if you lose a couple games they give you a total noob to stomp 😂

Sorry i made a little bit misinformation. Private match wins count for the "Won ... versus battles" achievement but not for the battle record
Can you unban me? TradeLikeGates is my username.

Explains why the cards I need to win are always on the bottom of my deck I guess 😂

@L3thalBows yep I also noticed throwing matches didn't seem to affect opponents matched. Still a mystery.

I noticed this too. That’s why I didn’t auto-concede to help others. Cuz I thought it’s useless.
Probably some kind of sbmm or eomm like call of duty. Skill based or engagement optimized matchmaking. They use an ai system to put you against someone similar while also giving you almost predetermined wins and losses if you don’t conform to there wishes
I regularly check my opponents. They almost always have around 200 wins or more and often the 3 best earnable emblems displayed, as have I.
My conjecture is that once you have reached the max emblem in an event you will only be paired with others who have the emblem already to prevent gaming the system for others by auto conceding. Only one way to tell... collect data for all emblem levels, and all pvp modes!

The matches definitely gets harder after you hit win 45. Both times my final 5 wins for the dust were the hardest.

Doesn't seem to work for me.
Main at 326/672 and alt acc at 23/70
Increasing wins in alt is difficult already since I'm only using budget decks 😢

Yes one hourglass is enough for the boost stamina pack mission
6 days is 12 free packs so you should be able to open 5 packs within those 6 days?

Do i lose my process if I don't claim and period ends?
Sorry I don't understand you question
I guess he meant progress, yes you loose the emblem event progress when it ends.
you guys never noticed the people you play against are usually high level?
Please make more videos explaining wonder pick etiquette. Most people in the discord are clueless and just make it impossible for everyone

My main is over 100 and my alt only had 4 wins and I just matched them in beginner
in events you get matched based on badge anyways no?

All i know is that if u won too much suddenly you match with alot of weakness deck haha😊
“Competitive events” 😂 I find so funny people cracking up an app that’s basically a virtual shop. Anyways, I’m subbing! 🤘

There is no ranking system lol. Just people playing the game
