Vega has crazy scalability and is incredibly efficient at low clocks. APUs were 'ok' options before, but with the current market, AM4s longevity, and the Ryzen APU performance, these look like great recommendations for budget builders. I think I speak for everyone when I say we appreciate all the work you put into this Steve.
I don't think anyone can really appreciate the amount of work you put into these videos. You are basically the untouchable king of benchmarks. Well done as always.
This is the best video about new Ryzens on the internet hands down! I've watched most of the reviews both in English and Polish, but only Hardware Unboxed does it right. No offense to anyone else, but only here I got all details that I wanted to know. Many thanks guys!
Steve you are a GOD. I watched a couple other reviews but no one else covered them as far in depth as you. Very interesting to see the memory speed and channel scaling. Great video as always and looking forward to seeing more CPU/iGPU overclocking results vs. say an Intel/Nvidia OC'ed combo.
I am now sure these are useless, if you already have a gpu you are better off with a ryzen 3 1200 or r5 1600 right ? And only useful when you don't have gpu on which it can do good ?
Mister Shots yeah a good deal if you don't have a good gpu but if you only want the processor then ? As we see in the video it falls behind the x version with 550 Should have been better if they did it on non x but well they're almost same
congratulations, you made the best analysis of the new APU that I have seen so far, most youtubers put the APU at 1080P at very high settings or even 4K, your analysis is on point and the settings that you used are really adequate for the scenario this APU.
That's everything I need to know in a nutshell. Extremely thorough review. Amazing performance for integrated graphics. Thanks for putting in the work. You rock!
Completely agree with you. Amazingly thorough review from Steve as always. Unlike other reviewer channels, he worked diligently to obtain proper testing configurations and resolved the stuttering issues and bizarre results seen from their channels. Here's hoping Steve can now find some time to get in some well deserved rest as he definitely deserves it.
What we need to see now is an AMD version of the Intel NUC. That would be a perfect HTPC. Great for emulation and movies. Do you guys test Citra, CEMU, ps2 emulators . Thanks again . BLESSINGS!!!
This video covered pretty much everything you could ask for. Amazing work :) just wouldn't liked to see more benchmarks for the 1.6ghz OC to the igpu. Because that's where the real value comes in. Anyways, loved it
Hardware Unboxed I know it makes zero sense, but I'd love to see what these chips can do with 4000+mhz memory. Very interested to know if there is any truth to AMD making those super high memory speeds a possibility.
Some of the higher end x370 boards might also be able to hit those speeds with the better IMC's in the Raven Ridge processors. Though obviously at that point you're spending too much money for little gain. Gotta wait till April for the supposed refresh boards.
Wow these APU are really impressive, they offer a great bang for your buck, also another great video Steve, thanks for all the awesome content keep it up :)
Malus1531 I’m not, it’s been a fair while since we as consumers could say we got good bang for our buck and I for one hope it continues for a long time to come.
Thank you Steve, your hard work and dedication is much appreciated. Hardware Unboxed is my favorite tech channel and your attention to detail is the reason why. Keep it up!
Oh my god i can die happy having seen these benchmarks. You put a lot of hard work into your videos and deserve all the subs. Thank you for doing an awesome job man!
Wow dude... one word I got in mind, Impressive!! Your, and AMD's job. Hands down, one of the greatest and most thorough videos you could find on the internet. And those chips.. I could only imagine growing up with one of those at hand. To put it in words: "You actually are able to game on an internal GPU!"... Never honestly thought I'd say that. I mean, especially comparing the results with what Intel has to offer, lol, it's embarrassing for Intel, and I love it!
Intel isn't embarrassed, they've know for years it was garbage. They already started replacing it with the Radeon Vega, which they showed off at CES ( Linus did a video on it)... I'd like to know how the AMD APU with Vega compares to the Intel CPU with Vega
Man your hard work on it is highly appreciated, do not lose your touch. Thanks. AMD and their APU's just left Intel behind, so far that it's almost a shame xD, a very nice option for the greater majority.
yottaXT, they didn't really leave Intel behind. Rather this is the first shoe to drop. The other shoe is the i7 8809 with vega graphics. This chip will be even better although I think it will only be in specific applications. This betting said, I just bought both ryzen APUs today and I'm super excited to test them. I also pre-ordered the Hades canyon nuc which will come next month with the Intel chip. I think this is a win win for amd and Intel.
that old faildozer-based apu scoring 2nd place on wolfenstein is a testament to the scalability of vulkan on low-spec hardware. that's some hard proof if i ever saw some... unbelievable. also, raven ridge is a beast i'm applauding with just 1 hand, using my forehead as what would be the other hand.
So much testing.... When I think I would like to make a youtube video, the shear amount of work involved puts me off. Thanks for going full out on the testing of these chips Steve.
Hardware Unboxed again doesn't fail to impress!!! The reviews were great and the slight departure into memory scaling and overclocking were great bonuses I hadn't expected until future videos. I'd seen a couple of other written and video reviews, but none had touched on everything I wanted to know (vs discrete / vs igpu, price to performance, and the important memory price consideration proviso). This video was a one stop shop to having a pretty good overall read on these chips. *slow clap*
Thank you for comparing with the 1030! I watched 4 videos (that all tested with the 1050Ti) before finally finding someone who actually compared apples to apples. Thank you!
Haven't watched it yet but I already know this vid as usually will be Epic, with Steve doing the review you can bet he will go above & beyond. Grab a cup of tea & Let the show begin....
Just finished watching mate, stellar performance there, and the processors weren't half bad too... I have never been let down by one of your vids so no worries there. Now talking about the Processors it looks like the trend to scoff at the brand 'APU' just ended and Intel got another reality check, tho I'm kinda impressed by how well little G4560 held up, You're spot on about the 2200G offering unbeatable value right there..Team Red is Back on the lead baby Now with all the benchmark outta your way, its time to grab a pair of ear muffs and go recoup 4 days worth of sleep my man
jordan santos Why? Because GT 1030+G4560 it's cheaper than a ryzen 5 2400g? Plus, at 2400g u need tot put 2997+Mhz RAM which is expensive. And with 8gb RAM, 2 is used by gpu, and u can have memory leak, in some games. And with overclock, u can overclock that GT 1030 with 240mhz ar core and max 1000 or 900mhz at memory, at 750mhz it's stable. So this combination isn't dead. Ryzen 3 2200g it's good for extremly low budget, but a lower performance than a GT 1030.
It's not just about that numbers, what happen when you need an upgrade to next gen? With Intel next gen you need to upgrade "everything", I think that topic is very important.
Props to you. Finally. Someone who compared the integrated graphics. Paul's Hardware thought it fit to compare to a 1050ti with an 8700k! You got it right and very few did. 2200g and 2400g vs g4560, 8100, 8350k. The ones that matter and are relevant.
As expected(sort of, these puppies are much better than I thought...wow!)these are a true win for folks who really can't afford much else...but they more importantly give a real, cheaper, more usable upgrade path that you just can't get with Intel down the road. Great video, awesome benchmarks, and fantastic results. Thank you so much Steve, great job, now go to bed!!
AgentFSB honestly I think GPU prices are here to stay. They're volatile due to crypto-miners but I don't believe they are going to fall back significantly. The days of a GTX 1070 or future equivalent being under $400 are all but over
I think if you need all 8 threads, don't want a dGPU, and/or want to be more future proofed, then the 2400G is the APU to go for. But, if you're looking for the best value for a budget gaming PC then the 2200G is the better option. The money you save on it can be put towards getting a 16 GB kit and thus alleviating memory usage concerns.
@23:39 , you messed up the slide with the "Ryzen 3 2400G with Vega 8 iGPU". Other than that, easily hands down the most in-depth youtube review so far. Always been a huge fan, keep up the amazing work :D
I think ryzen 3 2200g is more interesting than the 2400g.cause its giving slightly slower performance of a gt 1030 but an very interesting price point of 99$. A similar cpu+gpu config G4560+ gt 1030 = 160$ Ryzen 3 2200g = 99$ Yes its a bit slower than the gt 1030 but I'm saving 60$ here With 60$ i can also go for a budget b350 mobo like asrock b350m or gigabyte one's which is also oc capable.
You could spend the extra $60 on better/bigger RAM modules or upgrade from SATA SSD to M.2. great budget gaming machine that will have loads of potential for all sorts of other workloads too

Great job on the video, Steve. This is honestly the best review I have seen today, and I have been waiting to see the performance of these chips for ages. My question, however, is what level of graphics dedicated memory you used. On a similar video by JayzTwoCents, he showed a large difference between a 512 MB and 2 GB video buffer. Considering the amount of work out into this video, I would see it as unfair to ask for more, but this one piece of knowledge would really help me get a good system running.
This is the most well done and thorough Ryzen Raven Ridge review available. The huge amount of work and testing that went into this is very apparent. You tested everything I wanted and covered every point I could think of. I'm really looking forward to more. Thanks!
Great work as always. I'm interested how much further you could overclock the Vega graphics though. Still, I'm surprised that the $99 2200G can achieve RX 550/GT 1030 performance with a simple overclock using the stock cooler. In many places, the RX 550 and GT 1030 retail as much as the 2200G costs.
I can't believe i wasn't a subscriber to this guy with the Spanish mustache. This is a godly bench marking video with a lot of work behind it. All the other videos i watched pale in comparison. Seriously man... well done!
I was reminded by the embargo when I was someone else's review was posted. Of course I came here immdiately to watch this video first. As always, you've done an excellent job showcasing the strengths and value of these parts and really answering just about any question someone could have. Look forward to seeing some more OC testing from you!
I'd like to see a proper A320 vs B350 show-down. Though the former has no official support for overclocking, you can in fact overclock via software. The cheapest A320 for me right now is only $45, and it even comes with a VRM heatsink on the CPU side. Granted, the cheapest B350 is only $12 more, but that's not always the case and even still it's enough to redline a preconsidered budget.
The DDR4 scaling looks really good, especially when a poor RX 550 adds only 4 fps. I wonder if the FPS gains and cost of a 1060 on top of those APU are really better than an investment from 8 gig of ram to a 16gig of ram. Can ram sticks be the new graphic card ?
The amount of tests in the video is flabbergasting. Can't believe you did this all in a week, amazing. These CPUs are incredible, when I upgrade my dad's rig I'll be using the 2400g. :)
only 65 watt, fucking amazing amd. and you too steve, liked even before the show started, before that, i have to grab some popcorn :) Edit: even when using 2400G on a blender, it only maxed up 100w, i can whack any dell psu from prebuilt oem one question steve, does oc-eing an apu max temp is still 90c, since those have an igpu as well?
Thank god a reviewer that understood that this apu's worked best at 720p... This is my 4th review and it seems everyone else is testing them at 1080p - medium/high settings... You deserve a medal... Best review out there by far! clap clap clap... \o/ Only wish you've tested Quake Champions, 720p low... But that's me, I know you can't test every game and you already test alot... :D Things that I would like to test next... Cpu and integrated graphics overclock, the possibility of somekind of "crossfire" with the integrated graphics and another amd card. And I had gskill ripjaws V, 3200mhz working perfectly on my R7 1700 + msi B350.
In my opinion, AMD's socket compatibility only makes sense for someone who updates their cpu every 1-2 years, which I believe is not the case for most budget gamers.
My grandma complained to me recently that her hp pavillion with a Ryzen 2200g and only 4gb of ram was too slow. 16gb of ram, a pretty good overclock and an upgrade to an SSD later the pc is better than new.
What if AMD make a large cpu and gpu combo , maybe a 4+4 (or a 6 Core ccx?) Core with 1792 Vega cores, then we can have performance all the way up to GTX 1060 level and the most important thing is, miners won’t buy them because every cpu require a motherboard (and os and hard drive...).
Or intel could release a desktop platform with Kaby Lake-G, with 4 Core cpu and a heavily oc vega m gh, we can expect higher than 1060 performance at something like 150W tdp
Hardware Unboxed 6 core ccx on 7nm with vega18 or Vega24 would be doable I think. They would probably have to ship it with the wraith max cooler though. And keep the GPU clocks in check. Sadly without quad channel memory or a stack of hbm, it would be pointless.
All with 65W TDP, crazyyy
Thanks Oz, appreciate ya stopping by!
OzTalksHW Of course you speak for everyone. And i love your videos.
please don't speak for everyone, I didn't appreciate the work he put into this, I LOVED IT.
This stock test or over locking who know?
Bookmarking this for later... 😘
I'll sleep well tonight knowing you have my bookmark Paul 😘
Idk why but everytime i see Paul's picture it remind me of the emote "Jebaited" on twitch
Meledyne i can see that... kinda
All the videos for the new APUs released at once! I'll get round to your video next :)
Hardware Unboxed This clearly has a deeper meaning
I don't think anyone can really appreciate the amount of work you put into these videos. You are basically the untouchable king of benchmarks. Well done as always.
Thanks mate I appreciate that!
Whoa! Whoa! Whoa!?!? Slow down and think about that man...This slacker? The king of benchmarks? Hmmm, yeah you're right, sorry. Carry on!
we do
This is the best video about new Ryzens on the internet hands down! I've watched most of the reviews both in English and Polish, but only Hardware Unboxed does it right. No offense to anyone else, but only here I got all details that I wanted to know.
Many thanks guys!
Hardware Unboxed? more like Hardwork Unboxed!
Crazy detailed review mate, really impressive stuff!
Thanks Jarrod, appreciate that mate!
Long Live the King of Blue Bars! Huzzah!
Thanks Todd :) More content coming soon!
He wasn't kidding with that title. Do you even benchmark, brah. ;) Nice work!
27 minutes of Ryzen benchmarks and Steve's voice. I'm getting some coffee and food for this one :D
Same here!"
I am now sure these are useless, if you already have a gpu you are better off with a ryzen 3 1200 or r5 1600 right ?
And only useful when you don't have gpu on which it can do good ?
Mister Shots I'm drinking some coffee in the lake
Watch Me it's a good deal right now because dedicated GPUs have skyrocketed in price and this is a fairly good price/performance alternative.
Mister Shots yeah a good deal if you don't have a good gpu but if you only want the processor then ?
As we see in the video it falls behind the x version with 550
Should have been better if they did it on non x but well they're almost same
Wow, best video out right now. The level of detail and effort put into this review is much appreciated. Thank you and well done sir.
That's why I always come to this channel for benchmarks :D
congratulations, you made the best analysis of the new APU that I have seen so far, most youtubers put the APU at 1080P at very high settings or even 4K, your analysis is on point and the settings that you used are really adequate for the scenario this APU.
Out of all the reviewers today, this was the most thorough of the reviews done the two APU's. Great work man :D
Fantastic video. All your hard work is tremendously appreciated. We cannot thank you enough.
Thanks mate, I can't thank you guys enough for the support, so it's a good system :D
Anyways, loved it
More overclocking to come for sure ;)
Hardware Unboxed I know it makes zero sense, but I'd love to see what these chips can do with 4000+mhz memory.
Very interested to know if there is any truth to AMD making those super high memory speeds a possibility.
Jesse Kramer that's with the refresh boards I believe not the b350.
I'm really interested if they can pass 4.2ghz
Some of the higher end x370 boards might also be able to hit those speeds with the better IMC's in the Raven Ridge processors. Though obviously at that point you're spending too much money for little gain. Gotta wait till April for the supposed refresh boards.
Wow these APU are really impressive, they offer a great bang for your buck, also another great video Steve, thanks for all the awesome content keep it up :)
QuantumTV They are hurt by memory pricing, though. Maybe someday AMD will make APU with some GDDR/HBM on board
yeah, the prices of memory might keep away some folks, but still worth it since there are not that many GPU's to be found and are way tooo overpriced
And one hell of an upgrade path
I'm getting tired of the phrase "bang for your buck" in every video.
Malus1531 I’m not, it’s been a fair while since we as consumers could say we got good bang for our buck and I for one hope it continues for a long time to come.
The benchmark-king is back :D Great video :D
If I want to see an in-depth review, I either go to Hardware Unboxed or Gamers Nexus. Keep up the good work, Steve.
thanks mate the Steve's have you covered ;)
Lol same here bro
Greendude439 I think we need more steve in TechTube XD
hah easily the most intensive review of all the tech tubers i follow. Great content :)
The fun fact for me is that A12 9800 is much better with apu than i3 8350k with igpu in Wolfenstein II 720p and 1080p :)) intel hd are so bad
Intel igpu is not for gaming. It is just there so one does not need d. gpu to run office stuff.
Kamil Aliyev ik, so for people that don't want to game, only office is good enough intel hd 2000
I laughed so loud at this moment 😁
A12 FTW (w/ Vulkan)
Nowhere near the end of the video but the explaining in the production money saving is already amazing. Can't wait to hit the benchmarks. Great video!
That was an insane amount of benchmarking! I wish I could like this video more than once; very well done!
Thank you Steve, your hard work and dedication is much appreciated. Hardware Unboxed is my favorite tech channel and your attention to detail is the reason why. Keep it up!
the king of benchmarking has once again delivered the goods!
Oh my god i can die happy having seen these benchmarks. You put a lot of hard work into your videos and deserve all the subs. Thank you for doing an awesome job man!
In my Opinion the Benchmark-King of RUclips! Great Content as allways, love this Channel...
This channel HAVE to get more subscribes, the amount of views really not fair with the quality of the videos.Btw, Love this channel. Love you steve!
The best review I've seen so far about the Ryzen Vega APUs. I hope you're getting some rest now.
Wow dude... one word I got in mind, Impressive!! Your, and AMD's job. Hands down, one of the greatest and most thorough videos you could find on the internet. And those chips.. Intel isn't embarrassed, they've know for years it was garbage. They already started replacing it with the Radeon Vega, which they showed off at CES ( Linus did a video on it)... I'd like to know how the AMD APU with Vega compares to the Intel CPU with Vega
Lol I mean whatever it is in company-terms. Using your competitors stuff instead of your own stuff. That's figuratively embarrassing! xD
The Intel cpus with Vega are not going to be in the same class as these apus, so a comparison wouldn't be very useful. One is high end, one is budget.
Man your hard work on it is highly appreciated, do not lose your touch. Thanks.
AMD and their APU's just left Intel behind, so far that it's almost a shame xD, a very nice option for the greater majority.

yeah the Intel/AMD inside look like a massive beast, this will bring a lot of updates for AMD Graphics brand, making Navi a very posible WIN.
that old faildozer-based apu scoring 2nd place on wolfenstein is a testament to the scalability of vulkan on low-spec hardware.
that's some hard proof if i ever saw some... unbelievable.
also, raven ridge is a beast
i'm applauding with just 1 hand, using my forehead as what would be the other hand.
Great work Steve! Best review of these chips I've seen.
So much testing.... When I think I would like to make a youtube video, the shear amount of work involved puts me off. Thanks for going full out on the testing of these chips Steve.

Thank you for comparing with the 1030! I watched 4 videos (that all tested with the 1050Ti) before finally finding someone who actually compared apples to apples. Thank you!
This great for anyone wanting to build an ultra SFF gaming box. Its a real console killer for anything below PS4 pro and XBOX one X.
But why is left behind in speed benchmark!?
Haven't watched it yet but I already know this vid as usually will be Epic, with Steve doing the review you can bet he will go above & beyond.
Grab a cup of tea & Let the show begin....
Enjoy mate, hope you're not let down!
Just finished watching mate, stellar performance there, and the processors weren't half bad too...
I have never been let down by one of your vids so no worries there.
Now talking about the Processors it looks like the trend to scoff at the brand 'APU' just ended and Intel got another reality check, tho I'm kinda impressed by how well little G4560 held up, You're spot on about the 2200G offering unbeatable value right there..Team Red is Back on the lead baby

No, that’s the server line and it’s spelled Epyc anyway
RIP g4560 + 1030...
jordan santos Why? Because GT 1030+G4560 it's cheaper than a ryzen 5 2400g? Plus, at 2400g u need tot put 2997+Mhz RAM which is expensive. @@TT-cf8dz Lol... 2 cores VS 4 cores... It's not just about gaming
Steve is the best reviewer. No gimmicks just straight up highly informative research results!
DAYUMMMMM!!!! What AN APU! I was looking at other reviews and the VEGA PART can go to 1.7 GHZ OC
with the stock cooler
Hello Professor!! impressive as always!!!
Props to you. Finally. Someone who compared the integrated graphics. Paul's Hardware thought it fit to compare to a 1050ti with an 8700k! You got it right and very few did. 2200g and 2400g vs g4560, 8100, 8350k. The ones that matter and are relevant.
I love how this channel just puts any other benchmark to shame.
Another indepth review by Stevo.. though I'm pretty sure these chips are going to be revisited fairly often in the near future.
That moment when an iGPU provides better frametime than a dGPU. wow
Still the benchmark king, I think you're the only channel who OCed. Thanks as always Steve!
God Sent product for esports tittle gamers right now cause of the freaking "golden" gpu pricing
the best Review i found in youtube so far , keep it up
Thanks! Surely 2400g will be my next cpu.
This amount of effort from both Steve (for the review) and AMD (for the great product) deserve a round of applause.
Thank you :)
Excellent job delivering to us those benchmark Steve! Hats off to you.
It definitely makes a good stopgap until GPU prices come down from the craziness that's going on right now.
AgentFSB honestly I think GPU prices are here to stay. They're volatile due to crypto-miners but I don't believe they are going to fall back significantly. The days of a GTX 1070 or future equivalent being under $400 are all but over
Thank you for your continuous effort and extreme hard work to provide the best hardware reviews in RUclips!
Hot damn.. this is probably the best and most thorough review I've ever seen. Hats off to you sir!
That Single Channel vs Dual Channel difference was totally unexpected, thanks for your testing!
This level of detail is amazing!
I think if you need all 8 threads, don't want a dGPU, and/or want to be more future proofed, then the 2400G is the APU to go for.
But, if you're looking for the best value for a budget gaming PC then the 2200G is the better option. The money you save on it can be put towards getting a 16 GB kit and thus alleviating memory usage concerns.
memory speed is actually more important than memory usage.
A similar cpu+gpu config
G4560+ gt 1030 = 160$
Ryzen 3 2200g = 99$
Yes its a bit slower than the gt 1030 but I'm saving 60$ here
With 60$ i can also go for a budget b350 mobo like asrock b350m or gigabyte one's which is also oc capable.
Akash7713 quite interesting to see the 22g oc to match the 24g nearly.
SMT can help a lot, the good thing is you can wait for more CPUs to be released and upgrade your rig without changing motherboards.
You could spend the extra $60 on better/bigger RAM modules or upgrade from SATA SSD to M.2. great budget gaming machine that will have loads of potential for all sorts of other workloads too
Also not to mention AMD driver updates which can only improve it further
The 60 dollars will go towards better RAM, let's be real. Steve mentioned this too.

I didn't fall asleep! Staying up for the video that is, not due to the video ;)
Is it just me that always waits for Hardware Unboxed videos to see new hardware benchmarks even if other videos have been published?
Thanks Mike Fox appreciate the support mate :D
I do the exact same.
I watch them all, but hardware unboxed is one of my favs. All hail Steve, king of the benchmarks!
there is something magical about Steaves 30+ benchmarks :)
It's not just you mate!
Thanks!
The only raven ridge review you need to watch.
I have been waiting for this video for a month now.. Super excited for my first build..
Impressive APUs, destroy what Intel has to offer.
Always ready your pause button when watching steve's benchmark videos. Keep doing this 20+ benchmark videos, really informative and really enjoy it.
leave all your activities! Steve is in it again
:D haha
You don't know how long I have been waiting for this day... And I am pleasantly surprised. :)
No need oc
Wow, I never watched a 30 min long benchmarking/review video and actually enjoyed it! Outstanding job, cheers! :)
Joy to the world, the lord hath come let ryzen be benchmarked!
Thanks for all of the info. This is a ton of work behind the scenes to get these videos together.
Thanks for include Dota 2 in the equation 👍amazing as always Steve ❤
This is a prime example of how to a product review. Great work!
Nice! So I guess G4560 got dethroned as the budget king?
North Star 2200G all de wey!!
Yes.
Great video! This is finally what will replace my dad's 2008 PC :D !
Let's get ready for some charts guys
I can't believe i wasn't a subscriber to this guy with the Spanish mustache. This is a godly bench marking video with a lot of work behind it. All the other videos i watched pale in comparison. Seriously man... well done!
Very thorough benchmark as always compare to all techtube channels
👍👍👍👍👍
Not like the other channel that compare it with 1050ti lol 😂😂😂
I was reminded by the embargo when I was someone else's review was posted. Of course I came here immdiately to watch this video first. As always, you've done an excellent job showcasing the strengths and value of these parts and really answering just about any question someone could have.
Look forward to seeing some more OC testing from you!
Nice now we can build smaller htpc/semi-gaming pc with no need of a discreet gpu!
The benchmark god does it again
The DDR4 scaling looks really good, especially when a poor RX 550 adds only 4 fps.
I wonder if the FPS gains and cost of a 1060 on top of those APU are really better than an investment from 8 gig of ram to a 16gig of ram. Can ram sticks be the new graphic card ?
I was just waiting so long for these benchmarks form you, you are hands down the benchmark king
How close to i5 8400, great CPU performance from this tiny beast.
I love how in depth your test and analysis is.
Makes you one of a kind.
You are not the king of benchmarks you are the God of benchmarks edit :23:46 see graphics amd section
The amount of tests in the video is flabbergasting. Can't believe you did this all in a week, amazing.
These CPUs are incredible, when I upgrade my dad's rig I'll be using the 2400g. :)
only 65 watt, fucking amazing amd.
and you too steve, liked even before the show started, before that, i have to grab some popcorn :)
Edit: even when using 2400G on a blender, it only maxed up 100w, i can whack any dell psu from prebuilt oem
one question steve, does oc-eing an apu max temp is still 90c, since those have an igpu as well?
*cries with my G4560*
Really tempting to buy the 2400G
Just add a Rx 560 or gtx 1050 and enjoy better gaming.
I agree with RZPogi, don't buy the 2400G if you can afford a gtx 1050. That 1030 is really bottlenecking the G4560.
Same 😭
In my opinion, AMD's socket compatibility only makes sense for someone who updates their cpu every 1-2 years, which I believe is not the case for most budget gamers.
My grandma complained to me recently that her hp pavillion with a Ryzen 2200g and only 4gb of ram was too slow. 16gb of ram, a pretty good overclock and an upgrade to an SSD later the pc is better than new.
Is there any laptop that using this 2200g&2400g later???🤔🤔🤔
Laptop's feature the 'U' series.

Literally that most thorough review I have seen. I had to take study breaks to keep up with the data! LOL!
It would burn a hole in your socket mate ;)
Or intel could release a desktop platform with Kaby Lake-G, with 4 Core cpu and a heavily oc vega m gh, we can expect higher than 1060 performance at something like 150W tdp
Hardware Unboxed
6 core ccx on 7nm with vega18 or Vega24 would be doable I think. They would probably have to ship it with the wraith max cooler though. And keep the GPU clocks in check.
Sadly without quad channel memory or a stack of hbm, it would be pointless.
Hardware Unboxed well man fx9590 didnt burn a hole in the socket :)))
Edit: better example is i9 7980xe :)
Stephen _L_S that is actually possible in the foreseeable future
Was in the bath when the notification came in, I'm not sat in a rather cold bath watching because I love your benchmarks that much. Well done mate.
OMG YESSSSS
This is my favorite channel for benchmarks. I love the layout and design for the information.
