Garry's Mod: SBEP docking clamps and VTOL

- UPDATE: People have been asking me for a download of the ship. I don't have any of the files anymore, so that's not really an option. Sorry.
Recently the SBEP devs added a new docking clamp tool. I found that it worked well for any instance where a part of a ship needs to separate from another part. In this case, I designed a ship with a Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) type of system via movable engines. I didn't try to make the ship in any way functional aside from the engines moving together.
NOTE: I didn't explain this too well in the video, but the front engines move with the rear one because there are actually 10 or so rigid ropes on each engine connected to a corresponding points on the rear engine. They just have a width of 0 because I don't like how it would look with visible ropes.
ALSO NOTE: I know next to nothing about wiremod. All I did was use a numpad input device wired to the docking clamps. The hydraulics are regular hydraulics. All of them are assigned to NUMPAD1.
That's a clever trick- five stars for ingenuity (if the stars still existed, damn you RUclips...).
@spowend The pieces or the actual ships themselves? Because the pieces are part of SBEP, but the ship itself was designed by me.

can you get this sbep without svn?
that is an awesome engine setup, man i suck at the whole making the massive ships fly :S
@Noble1Carter yeah, I fixed it anyway by extracting the contents into the addons folder directly instead of haveing them in a folder within the addons folder :)
@Noble1Carter Fraps. It's not free, but it's a fantastic piece of software.
The lift system tool's petty buggy right now, so I haven't really used it too much.
@jep0rox There should be a few tabs or something on the tool for more than just the doors.

Well, there's really nothing in the ship. I didn't make it to be used, I made it to support the moving engines. I might make a far better ship that uses bigger engines eventually, but the one in the video is pretty much the bare minimum for 3 moving engines.
Can you make something to show how to use the lift system tool, cause i cant figure it out :3

Well, you can at garrysmod. org (I think), but really, SVN is so much more convenient. Minimal setup + effortless updating = why would you want anything else?
on the docking tool all i see is the door not a slection like you had

What map are you using. I can't find it anywhere on garry'smod.org. Am I missing it? Anyway it would really help if you could tell me the map name. 5/5 on my iTouch ;)

I was thinking of building a ship made out of smaller ships that could clamp together in difrent ways kinda like a modular ship tipe of thing

how do i get SBEP because all of the stuff i downloaded shows up as errors and i need to download whatever i need to not get these errors what do i need to download PLEASE REPLY
anyone fancy helping me? I've downloaded SBEP just like it says via SVN, followed the instructions step by step, tryed it three times, yet when i load Gmod it's just not there, it's not like i get errors or anything, it's just that the probs, tools, menus etc are just not there, asif i never installed it, any help?
