Great episode Phil, really liked the approach of trying to build from ground up.
Cheers bud!
Just built my first edc17c64 map today, it was going well until I hit the boost maps, completely different setup compared to anything I’ve done before.
As you say you need so much different information about different ecu’s and it’s hard to find
Nice! And yeah edc17c64 is based on cylinder filling and limits, doesn’t have the traditional boost target approach
Hi just found this channel and its great! Everyone says winols is better than ecm titanium because you can do more things with it. Im just wondering is thst one of those cases? If you were tuning on ecm titanium would those extra maps you found not be available or could ecm also have tuned this car?
You can tune a car with any software really! ECM titanium has a driver builder add on, so you would just add the maps as you need too!
Maybe a bit stupid question but why did want to cap wastegate tables to 20% and then to 10% and then boost table? what exactly do you check by doing that?
It’s about gaining control of the setup before you start to tune it
THX for this one. Once wastgate is off how boost is controlled ?
By the wastegate spring pressure, I’ve dropped the duty so I can see what the spring pressure is, then we have a base to work from 😀
When's the next episode coming?
Soon as the car is back from Albania!
He went on a road trip to bed the engine in abit and stretch its legs.
@@Phil-cooper Without the tune being done and wastegate left on open loop 10-20% everything else untouched?
any tips to avoid bricking these? is it just bad luck or something to do with the switches u were trying , or a checksum/rsa issue?
It was one of the switches I was trying, still working out why it’s doing that, but I’ll film it all as I go!
Hi
Where can I get the log viewer?
I’ll post a link on the description when I open the laptop
