I have hit this point a few times. What's really gross is the next stage if you keep pushing it. I made this mistake once and refused to take a day to rest and it cost me almost a week. It only takes a minor cut or scrape then there is infection risk. this is very trivial to do once immersion sets in. It's always worth a day or two of rest for foot care. The trenchfoot jumped out at me on my feed. algorithm is reaching new viewers.. happy trails! looking forward to more vids.
To prevent foot infections or foot smell, use the antimicrobial shoe insole called PodoPhylus. It slowly releases iodine gas that keeps the foot aseptic and absorbs water. It also works very well for diabetic foot and leg ulcers
You use to talk to your feet. Perhaps you have to reestablish a dialog. Cheers to your progress and determination for hiking in the rain. Be well. Be safe. Wishing you peace, happy feet and drier days. Happy Trails!
i hope you took the peoples advice and rested your feet for a day or so and let them dry out cause let me tell you a story so my dad served in the Vietnam war and got trench foot so bad he had to be on bed rest for months cause his foot looked like raw hamburger he said its so painful and it takes so long to get over. even today he cant walk around barefoot even on carpet or bare floors cause if he does it feels like pins and needles are stabbing him in the foot.

Why do we look like a dried grape when we get wet to long? Stay dry and safe.
Something about improving grip on slippery wet surfaces I believe!
Trench foot, now you know how the boys felt during world war 1
Oh hell yes! Time to peel
