Hi. Im in my sixties. Sometimes its hard to know what is the right thing to do. There are no guarantees in life. I have often felt insecure in my life. I have navigated through my life on my own. No real support. We are all alone, even if you are in a good relationship you are your own person. Dont take life so seriously.
It doesn't necessarily tie in with the topic of acceptance, but I wanted to share a quote I discovered that instantaneously made my anxiety level drop, actually plummet. It's the later half of the following quote by Byron Katie. She had once tweeted, "If I had a prayer, it would be this: 'God spare me from the desire for love, approval, and appreciation. Amen.'" For me, learning acceptance meant that the only person I need validation from was me. Even though I was a good and competent worker, I doubted myself and based who I was on whether or not I got the thumbs up from my boss (in the past it was my parents). That quote made me realize I can provide myself with what I thought I needed from other people. I'm enough.
Accepting yourself and loving yourself is the most important thing anyone can do. When you learn to do that, you change your perspective on life and the troubles that life presents. You learn to reject negativity and take a more positive outlook. Everyone is capable of changing for the better and surrounding yourself with positive people who can help you when you need it. Your insights are helpful to others. Keep telling yourself every day that you are a good person and worthy of love and respect. When you help others, you also help yourself.
Life always brings many hurdles twists and turns we all get the blues ocassionly well spoken dude i think making best of what we have to deal with reach out to others with a positive attitude things always work out in the end
You are very young💙 You have the entire world ahead of you. There is no doubt to this. STOP thinking and act, do. Do what comes to mind ...no matter how difficult. If whatever you done doesn't work out, well, you have never gone down a road so far that you can't turn back or make a detour. Decide what is next and begin that. If you can not STOP thinking & this is getting in your way (preventing you from just doing, moving forward) seek professional help from a mental health professional, a psychologist with a PhD. A general practitioner (family doctor) can help with referrals. Best to you 💙
Hey Broski, acceptance is something that some people can't except. It takes practice and you have to change your frame of mind. I am happy that you are already at that stage. I didn't do this until I have much older. Once you accept anything that happens to you good or bad. It already happened, we can't change the past and just learn to live with it. No matter what you do in life, we won't be able to change the outcome. A lot of people lose years and years just because they couldn't accept the outcome of their life. We need to talk about it, I joke about it when the outcome is out of my control and people ask me why I am so calm after what happened. My experience anyway.
Good thinking. You are at an age when such perspective can make substantive and positive changes in your life. You are totally correct with your understanding. It seems that you did not experience very early trauma, which did, for me, indelibly imprint failure to my mindset. Options were torn from my young mind. It took a full lifetime for me to come to terms with my situation; and finally begin to seek change. I wrestle daily with these issues...and win now more often than not. I have just subscribed to your channel to do two things. To give you momentum and support...and to give myself the benefit of connection to a fellow traveler. Strength and good things to us both!
Thank you very much for the kind words, as a child I had lots of trauma, not on a level of say war torn countries but domestically lets say my early years weren’t very great. I would love to touch on the subject at some point because I feel by being open to the world I am open to myself, thank you❤
Awwww, I am glad you are doing better. I have always thought that anyone, including myself, is one little circumstance away from being broke and homeless. Yet, I have always managed to find ways to make money through reinvention and hustling up work. My lifelong struggle has been acceptance.... self-acceptance. It is a tough one to conquer. Keep forging ahead and accepting each new challenge. You got it.
You have a great message here. Also, the music you chose for the background helps back up the mood. Beyond that, I wish it possible to learn what got you into that dark place.
You did a beautiful job to talk openly about this subject man! I think this shall help a lot of people and even me as well. Because even though I know all these kinds of stuff you talked about, I'm still reflecting on myself. And yeah, it's so amazingly cool to see others of the same generation finally talking about this stuff, because it's pretty rare and we need to change that. So many thanks for this and nice to meet you Benjamin ;)
*took me a long time to accept i had to live in a tunnel behind a construction site. but then i found jesus.* busted open, in the gutter - like one of those 6 ft collection boxes for an event? ate like a KING OF KINGS. this moment is all we have. there is no tomo. a hopeful msg. _JC
Good advice, but I’d like to know what you did to improve your situation. I feel that you are repeating the same thing when you could be providing more specific examples. I think one of the things you are saying is that when times are rough, we only see the four walks around us, and forget that there may be a door which we can open that will lead us out of the place we are in and into a better situation. So being open minded can help us too see things from a wider perspective, and we may find that we have more options than we initially realize
Absolutely, I guess a major part was the realisation that something needed to change. That can motivate anyone to get to work. I explained this deeper on another video of mine called 'Im 21. I was nearly homeless" - hopefully that answers that question deeper for you :)

Thanks for jumping on. Always love new perspectives. 🔥🔥

I appreciate you seeing my vision, I owe it to myself to serve a purpose bigger then me and that is this
Please accept that you are beautiful.
self acceptance is where we need to be on a solid foundation 💯 ❤

Haha you are always so randomly detailed 😂
like the stoics teach us to focus on what we can control, not what we can't.
