Do you mean, you want to highlight values in other visuals? then you need to apply this logic in your other visuals as well.

You should look into the solution carefully to check if you are missing something. because it is working perfectly fine with multi-selection in this demo.

Yes, The trick is , just select the column chart visual and change the visual with line chart with same measure and formatting. you will see that, the selected items will be highlighted with the green color marker, you can then increase the size of marker or change the marker type.
