Hi Dauminique, any easy trick for keeping track of your loads is to write the dump time, or load time, instead of a check mark. Than you can double check your round trip times and see if you missed a load.
I got a notebook and do exactly time loaded at site then write time when I offload. Good way to track loads and if a bossman says something about taking too long for turnover times it's all there in black&white !
Dauminique, was watching Gentry and sons u-tube channel and gave you a shout out on how to dump a truck the right way told people from his channel to check your channel out
Hey there, love you taking me for a ride. So listen don't drop your oil. If you are purning a half gallon a day you are changing your oil continuously. Just throw a new filter in and keep on keeping on. Love traveling with you
Funny, 10:40 the Blue parrot headset. We all have it and they all look the same, no foam padding left on the mic, mine is missing the cushion from the earpiece too lol
Keep building in Duvall and Carnation and just adds to the flooding in the Valley when the Snoqualmie River floods people are stranded on the hills with flooded roads. I use to deliver in the area in the mid 70s.
Now that you're an owner you'll learn to appreciate those short hauls, you don't burn nearly as much fuel and your tires last longer and your fuel taxes are cheaper because of the short miles. I figure on a job like that it's basically like getting a $150 to $200 per day bonus. On the oil my nephew works for a national truck parts chain and told me they had 55 gallon barrels of oil for $406 this last fall so I bought one now I wished I bought 3 or 4 cause if you can find it they're like almost $1,000.
Hey Love it , Small world and just watching Gentry & Sons Trucking channel and they were giving your channel a shout out ! I chuckled , Been watching both channels for a while ! Thanks For Sharing !!!!
The tick tock trend was calld the devious lick challange. The schools here in iowa had the same problem. They also had the slap a teacher challange & bomb threat days. Tick tocs a active attack on our kids & schools. Your channels cool. Riding in the cab gives ya a sense of what its like driving. Rock on!🇺🇸
sweet. in 2005, I hauled 92 loads of clay onsite one day. Just me, a track loader and a dozer. tried to haul 100 but got dark. Great videos. Best of luck. Brian (Chicago)
Hey Driver enjoy your channel about dump driving in NW. I noticed your channel after visiting my daughter in Olympia WA, I live in southern Ontario, I've driven many 3406, 3306, c12, c13's over the years in equipment and trucks most had a spot on the dipstick just above add where they liked there oil level some even a little below. My grandfather was a cat skinner dieselspecifically have a sweet spot and if your filling over that amount EVERY DAY your throwing your pearls to the swine. PS You will probably have to remove the boot to tighten the set screw in hoist control lever. Cheers
I don't know a whole lot about trucks but it looks like you are enjoying. But one thing though I used to think that everyone in America is very rich and do only high-end jobs. A pretty girl like you doing a dump job that's crazy but your video shows that you are enjoying and I'm sure you are a down-to-earth person. I'd love to be your friend. One more thing, I loooove the sound of your truck.
Great video girl !!! I'm the old former owner/operator guy from N.H. that tried to warn you about your stacks a few days before you burned your forearm ! And yes, I love the sound of them, even through the camera. Looks like you had a really good day. I know those kinds of days are boring, but really good on fuel usually. You are so smooth with that truck, it should serve you well. Keep up the good work, and I'll be waiting for the next video.
I was born in 84 in Duvall, a bunch of my family is still around there. My grandparents and 9 kids lived in the second house ever built in that that town right up at the lake. Grandpa was the fire chief for a couple years in the 60’s and was on the fire department for 38 years. As a lil kid we lived right next to the bank and the original Auto parts store/saw shop. Things were different back then.
Look for a “traffic light finder” on ebay and you will find a selection of prisms that would eliminate the need for you to look under your windshield visor to see a traffic light. When I was a kid we had a 1953 Pontiac with a visor and it had a prism to see when the light turned green. Very simple technology that can still make life easier. You’re welcome! 😉
great video enjoyed watching 35 loads that's a busy day glad truck is working good for you love the sound of those pipes drove for almost 50 years and never was aloud to do anything with the exhaust take care have a great weekend
We used to call loading like that round robbins. Some days it was great other days not so much. Had a truck years ago the used half a gallon a day of oil, boss told me to let it go till it was a gallon low then only add a half gallon. Went from adding every day to only once a week running it half gallon low. It was a small cam Cummins I believe. Thanks for the videos.
That's one of the nice things about an 18spd, you can pick gears even in the low side of the tranny. In my 29yrs of driving semi, the 18spd was my favorite. Glad your day went so well. Keep safe!
Glad you are keeping your truck busy. Hope you don't have problems getting paid. My wife is a pediatrician and said too many parents want to be a kid's friend. Kids need to be held accountable.
@@DauminiqueTheDumpTruckDriver wow that's crazy they expect you to eat that much time, our trucks get paid every week here with all of the companies in our area.
Hmm! Okay then yes big smiles on days when your truck is running good and no problems! Yes worked with a buddy in the same area during my pneumatic tanker days was always seeing who could get those load number high in a week. 25 loads plus was a good week. #keepontruckin 😉👍🏼💯
Those levers are pressed into a piece of brass that s all that holds them on, if it keeps coming off you can take the whole lever assembly out and drill through that block and lever and put a roll pin through it.i had one that would pop out every time you had it in the neutral position, gets annoying really quick.
You can try using diffrent oil to slow your comsumtion down .i changed over to mobile delvac 1300 series 15-40 and i went from a gallon and a half down to a half gallon between changes 10,000 miles
Good post. Especially enjoyed the camera that allowed seeing you shift. There is a lot going on with that truck. It's fun to see how you handle it. Thanks!
There is a shortage of Rotella oil here we went to using Delo. I did alot of short hauls we had those counters that you pushed a button on to keep track. One old truck i drove had a wire with washers on it you slid a washer to one side every time you made a load.
It looks like Walmart is selling it at Rollback prices, Delo 400 SDE for $16.97 per gallon. I don’t know if they’ll let you order it online, at the Rollback price. The only physical store that has it in stock was the Lakewood Super Center, with a quick scan.
Half gallon a day is pretty heavy oil usage. I've been paying between 17 and 20 a gallon for Shell Rotella. In the almost 40 years I've been driving this is the first time I've seen this kind of oil shortage. Gotta buy it when you see it. That's what I've been doing.
Had one job with five trucks working it, only three mile trip one way .till they stopped us going through residential area, added 15 one way miles to that trip.
Oil consumption is high. 2 quarts a day? 2.5 gallons a week? Where is it going? When you get around to changing the oil and fill per per the specified quantity. Make sure the dipstick reads right. If it reads low on the stick scribe a new line where the oil level is (after running to fill the filter, then sitting over night). That will be the new full mark.
Sounds like an almost perfect site work scenario, short dump rounds equals less wear and tear on the truck as well as less fuel use. Having a good Track hoe operator and a good helpful work crew all combine to make for a good and profitable day of trucking. The only thing is if too many short run days get strung together they tend to get pretty boring. The truck sounds strong and looks great, nice and clean inside and out, it sure does help to present a professional image. Keep up the good work, and good things are bound to come your way.
Walmart will ship to your house or shop. Also Napa and other auto parts places can get drums. As of this post NAPA in Everett on wall st has some in stock. I’m not affiliated with them. I just like finding parts. Hope this helps
Yes it’s good feeling to be working! You said ur trk burn half gallon oil a day when u do ur next oil change try using Lucas Heavy duty oil Stabilizer read the labeling to see if you need to use synthetic oil stabilizer this might help oil consumption. Napa should carry this product.👍🤙😎🇺🇸🇺🇸
My wife is a teacher in middle school. Kids attempted to steal a toilet. They broke it off the wall and left it in the bathroom. Not sure why they thought they could sneak out with it in a back pack or something. There was also a tiktok challenge hit a teacher. Oreilly's Auto in Texas ships in the lower 48. Their store brand 15-40 is 15.00/gal and Rotella 15-10 is 21.99. Losing a half gallon a day, I'd use the store brand. Love the new truck and your videos. Cheers from Texas!
