Get that all the time. “We’ve had bigger trucks in here than that before”. I just reply. “Better get them back again then cos I ain’t getting in there”. 🤣🤣. Good video. Keep em comin. 👍👍👍
I had a guy tell me "if I can get in with my truck you can with yours" turned out his truck was a pick-up ......mine a tri axle 48' log trailer...... One and only load I hauled for him
haha right? I was not backing down that driveway
The one I always got when I setting a lot of houses with a crane, “ we had a concrete truck in there”. My response was “ go get that concrete truck and set your house, I’m outa here,” they never would let me leave!
@@DauminiqueTheDumpTruckDriver it looked narrow.......guessing there was a drop off on both sides.
Theyre all for you doing that sketchy stuff, til it goes wrong, then they turn on you and its all your fault. Stand your ground its your truck and you know best. Great channel. Subbed 👍
I agree!
Yep good call Miss Squeaky Seat
That weigh station house is the nicest one I've ever laid eyes on!!! Wow, they really went all out eh!
Dude it’s awesome coffee setup for employees as soon as they enter and the upstairs is like a conference room
So glad you stood your ground on that one so easy to tip over when tipping a load. Thanks for the ride along
When a driver makes it look easy they are just naturals. You make it look easy
This lady is so Awesome. She is the only reason I watch you tube. May the sky father watch over her and keep her safe.
I watch all of your videos and I also watch other , lady big rig drivers, I am so proud of all of you ladies, for showing, the guys how it's done!!!! I am NOT being sexist!!!! I just really admire beautiful lady truck drivers!!!! I know that you are very capable to do the job safely, I am so proud of all of the lady truckers out there!!!! Much love keep up the good work!!!! Stay safe in whatever you do on a daily basis!!! Watch out for the arc nemesis (overhead power lines) I also watch Ron Pratt, he's a big rig wrecker driver from Scott city Missouri, that's where I learned about the arc nemesis (overhead power lines) that's what he calls them!!! Your friend Bob Compton from maryland
Good job always remember u are the owner and responsible for yourself and any damage u do also luv the green dash lights
I LOVE that thick, wooden steering wheel! Beautiful to look at plus very grippy in the hand. Delicious.
Hi , you need a rear camera at back of truck , then we can all see the loads coming off , thank you!
Hi Dauminique,
Yes I love the footage inside the cab.
Well done.
Hopefully home deliveries will be few for you. You handled it well. Thanks for another great video !!!
Nice low RPM start after talking to the homeowner. Your clutch will thank you for it!
About 3/4 of my business is home delivery, sometimes you have to gently explain how big dump trucks work near houses. (Power lines, angles, limbs)
That's a normal conversation doing roll-off deliveries too
I used to pull a 38 ft dump trailer and my boss would send me to new job sites and home owner do it yourselfers and the first thing I always heard was the concrete trucks got in there 😂😂! They have no idea!! Stand your ground and take care of yourself and your truck 👍! You're doing a great job and glad to see things working out for you. Stay safe and God bless 👍👍
Good job. Take care and have a blessed day and I'll see you on your next video.
I have so much joy for you! I just retired and would love to be doing what you're doing. You're living the dream girl! I wish you much luck on your new business. Enjoy your videos.
What your doing here is what I do everyday here in NC it’s mainly all houses and custom homes so I deal with that sketchy stuff all the time it makes it more challenging to me and never a dull moment
Yeah it does
Great job, doing residential deliveries you call the shots at the end of the day everything falls on you. I had a 40ft end dump and sketchy was a understatement on a leaning road to boot they didn't understand on a leaning road when you raise that bed up you are unstable as heck. You did a great job not being pushed into something that your not comfortable with.
Enjoy watching your videos, there are no dumb questions you did right by asking. We all have done some sketchy stuff at one or another keep up the good work.
You’re a true professional! Best wishes.
I’ve done a lot of sketchy hill stuff, but with a 9LL and the glorious compound low reverse. In a 13- or 18-speed it would suck, you’re right to have them do a little extra hand work.
Nothing like parking everything right in the way lol
haha residential, oh well.
Listen to that sound........... Awesome
Love watching you operate, love how you take care of your truck
Thank you!
You made the right call, great job 👍

Going those gears like pro!!
I was really surprised that you've never had to deal with material in cubic yards before. Although most companies have it all computed over to tons for the trucking aspect of it but on the construction side of it it's measured in cubic yards, there's not many but there's still a few smaller gravel pits around here that don't have scales so they still sell it by the cubic yard which I kinda prefer because it's cheaper that way. It really depends on the product and moisture content on the conversion from cubic yard to tons but generally ranges from 1.2 to 1.5 tons per cubic yard, here pit run is around 1.4 to 1.5 tons per cubic yard.
Safe travels truckin
Good job all the way around Daum! More work is more work, :-) thx for sharing Ur delivery 2day.
Great video Dauminique
👍🏻 Truck sounds great, nice and smooth.
Thank you for sharing , stay safe out there .
Thanks, you too!
Nice Very Smooth Shifting!! Yes You Tell Them Where You Can And Cannot Dump your truck! 😊👍👊
I never got those easy to please customers when I did home deliveries out of the Willard pit. Nice job.
haha people are usually pretty easy to deal with
I love your truck! On the outside she looks good, on the inside she looks good with the button tuck cab upholstery, and she sounds SO GOOD! The smooth operator also helps make her sound good 👍. I love that visor, I think it's the perfect size for an ol dumptruck, it looks good but it ain't too low.
I love it when you put your gps on..
Your Awesome. Thanks for showing us. How about a behind the scenes video. Get to see your wonderful family. Like Dirt Perfect does.
Good call on not going down that driveway. Great video.
It's always fun watching you. See ya later 🤗🤗🤗
Thanks!
Around here beyond the street it's whoever ordered the load's responsibility. Get a ready mix truck stuck and you're paying for towing, plus waiting time, plus they might dump 7 yards of concrete next to the truck.
I just found you tonight. Well, it's actually early morning now. Anyhow, I like what I've seen so far as you are one heck of a driver with courage.
And never missed a gear...that's great truck driving right there 👌
Pulled that grade nicely coming out of the pit!
Very good content , very informative.. keep up the great work …
Much appreciated!
I love watching you do what i always myself felt i would doing. Dump truckin.
But watching you film yourself literally running a stop sign. Crazy.
Very great new video again you and truck 🚚
Glad you like them!
Again. Thank you. I live in the California Delta Bay Area. I don't think I have seen a Dump Truck quite as large as your's in my area.
It is amazing what people will tell you, just to save them a little extra work and put you in harm's way. So kudos to You for taking charge, because there not going to be the one paying for the wrecker if You screw up! You know it, but this is just the type of job that can ruin your day!!! Another notch in Your belt!! Happy Trucking!!
Yeah that driveway dropped right off and I don’t think I would have been able to get down it with out dumping the truck on its side.
@@DauminiqueTheDumpTruckDriver Get this, after my mixer career I drove for a broker that had its own fleet, and owner operations. Now this is in Southern California, the last to do anything like other states. So we had transfer rigs and buster dumps and the buster was like a mixer with the drop down axel in the rear, with an aluminum box!!! What a stupid combination, they claimed if you were to off camber and you were able to raise the box, the aluminum box hinge point was supposed to brake off instead of the truck going over with the box. So this is a simple case, of you better know your truck!!! We can all get in trouble from time to time, but that is usually the case of not sizing the situation up first! Amen!!! I must say Dauminique, You are the definition of Awesome! You are a true Professional and You should be proud of it. Stay Awesome and God Bless You in Your new adventure!
I see that you’re beginning to get truck driver belly…. Hanging over the seat belt… That’s cute, too.
Good work and looking lovely
I really dislike doing home deliveries. The quarry will always explain the size of the truck delivering the material, and the home owner is like, 'oh there's plenty of room'. And then you get, and it's like........REALLY ! Lol
Lol it’s definitely not my thing. That’s literally the first time I’ve ever done it.
@@DauminiqueTheDumpTruckDriver I usually dump on their drive way or the residential road. It’s used the same day.
There are no dumb questions when customers and home delivery comes in to play, they must understand what they are dealing with. Good job. 🤗🤗
Thanks!
Years ago I used to deliver mobile homes. People think it has wheels,so you can deliver anywhere! Sounds like people think that of any delivery. Good that you replaced the double disc clutch. I used to work at a machine shop that made clutches for face cars. 3600 lb type. You may feel your left calf growing larger. LOL I like to hear you going thru the gears. To has a cool sounding exh. Good luck with the new business. Really enjoy the videos.
I noticed the scrubbing sound behind your seat. I use a hard 1/8 inch flat piece of sheet metal ( not painted ) mounted to the rear wall and spray Lemon Pledge furniture wax on it if needed.
Hahaha, I like those "New York" rolling stops!!
haha 😬
Funny stuff😀
@@DauminiqueTheDumpTruckDriver Add me to the list of those that drive with awareness, logic and situation around stop signs rather then written law. Oh I am sure Mr Police man won't see it that way though LOL. Icy intersections in the middle of rural no where and an up slope at the stop sign is a classic example of not being able to start out from a dead stop on glare ice etc yet can see for a mile in either direction and not a vehicle in sight.
You are a good truck driver.
Thanks for the video
No problem!
Almost 100% of my deliveries are home deliveries. Always fun seeing where people want me to go lol. Though I just use a truck and dump trailer right now. In the market for a little single axle.
When converting tons to yards.....I generally multiply 1.2 times #yards to convert it to tons....not perfect but close enough. And it only works with gravel....not stone. My experience also has been when you deliver a load to a homeowner....they have no idea how much a yard(or ton) of material is anyway....so don't be too concerned about being exact.
I run yard loader and I’ve had a few trucks ask for it in yards and I scratch my head trying to figure it out in tons on a split second while I’m loading because my scale in the loader is on tons or they’ll say I need so much in pounds keep up the great work as being an owner operator stay safe
haha so you seem to feel the same way I do, confused!
Yes it’s all good keeps me on my toes and that cat engine sounds so good
you are very good what you do
Glad to see you are doing what you want to do that is driving a dump truck be safe out there Young lady 💐the only Time yardage is used is for concrete as best as I can remember
Yeah that’s all I’ve run into as well.
@@DauminiqueTheDumpTruckDriver thanks for the heart young lady 💐
Hello Dauminique !!!
I truly understand your situation of the driveway, some people don't understand that when you have tons of weight on your truck and you get off road on a steep road way it's a different ball game . And some people think if you can get a pickup truck or a car into a place, you can dump me gravel in there or ( I have heard this several times, I have had a concrete truck in here before), but they are not thinking about you having to raise your bed to dump - spread the gravel out, that there may be telephone, electric wires or overhead be tree limbs or it might be a leaning unlevel driveway or just different things, and over the years I have seen a couple of big loaded gravel trucks sink up on one side, my dad he hauled thousands of tons of gravel and 95% of them he spread them on road ways and if saw that a place was really muddy or he thought that it might be soft he would spread them going backwards and he might have to back up slow and stop then pull up spreading a little more gravel and then back up again and maybe even have to let his bed down some and then go back forward again spreading a little more gravel and do that till the load was gone and he was lucky and never got stuck doing that, but your always taking that chance . I have seen him dump backwards spreading gravel for a pretty good be ways and he seen that it still needed more gravel where that he had backed over the gravel, so he would go back forward spreading gravel again . And if a road was a steep hill and it was really muddy he would spread the gravel going up the hill backwards to have gravel under his back wheels all the time . Not just because he was my dad, I have never seen anyone else that could spread gravel and do as good a job as him, but he had just done it so much. I have seen him before where there was wires overhead he would raise his bed up just a little bit and go to shaking, or pull up fast and then hit the brakes and shake it till he got away from the overhead wires, but he said that it was always best to park somewhere and get out of your truck and go for a walk and look and see what things look like before that you actually try to dump or spread gravel, especially if you have never been there before, protect yourself and your truck, that truck is your lively hood and always take care of your truck . Once on a government project him and several other trucks and drivers hauled gravel and spread it out over so many acres and kept on doing it till the gravel were 18 feet deep everywhere on those acres of that project .
But anyway hold your on in a situation like the driveway, and don't let someone try to push you into doing something that you don't really feel comfortable with and you damage your truck or have to get a wrecker to come and get you out, your the one going in the hole, costing you money . I enjoyed watching the video, so keep on making us more videos of the best ( and the cutest also ) woman dump truck driver around . So be careful and stay safe out there on the road and I will see you later .
As always, Jeffrey !!!
when you back down a drive way I hope you have a piece of paper the owner signs saying your not responsible for damage. that's what they do around here and I have seen damage before
Piece of cake and you followed rule #1. When unsure GOAL.
That simple rule will save your bacon over and over.
BTW love the KW. Drove one like it, a tough truck off the road too.
More Haul for Y'all. Prices never go down and loads get Heavier. CB radio is your Best Friend. Breaker Breaker CB 1020 on the 1045?
Lenz is in my neck of the woods. Their primary business is the residential customer which is why they have you order in yds instead of tons. It's annoying sometimes. I rarely go there though. I love their new scale house, makes it so easy. We have two 1 ton dump trucks in our dept that we use for small stuff and they don't have CB's in them so that scale house makes it real easy. We haul out of Belleville pit or Conway pit mostly.
That engine sounds sweet.
Well the drive was nice 😊🌎🌞👍
Agreed
Here in Nevada we usually times the yardage by 1.4 and it gives you a roundabout for your tonnage depending on which material you've loaded.. and I became a local truck driver so I wouldn't have to do math and do a log book.. now with the electronic ones I don't have an excuse LOL
Awesome video love it
Glad you enjoyed it
That’s one tight road
I think it's cool you an your husband doing this together g man from Hillsborough NJ
holy shit i work in a pit and i got my class A permit i tried driving one of our super side dumps around on a kenworth t 800 and i was grinding and my co worker said try an double clutch and all of a sudden it was smooth as hell :D i can't wait to get my license i take my pre trip test this friday
That's like getting gass by the litter not by the gallon. Lol
Yes it's your truck just be careful and the seat still squeaks lol
Home deliveries are the worst. Some of my scariest adventures, lol
i do landscaping and I measure everything out and do it in yards.
Yeah different trades do it differently.
When there is no traffic those octagon signs are stoptional. :-)
Glad things are going well with your new adventure. Looks looks good and sounds good so the truck should last you awhile. As far as yards and tonnage, usually on the average a yard of aggregate weighs 1.5 ton. Sand will weigh more cuz there's no room for airspace.
Yeah from what I have read every material computes differently
Best part is - we live in a modern metric world and age. Yards etc are so Olds-school.
@@nikostosniklaas7500 we love the non metric system in AMERICA!
@@andrewslagle1974 The world is moving on and sometime you will be far behind ..!!
@@DauminiqueTheDumpTruckDriver dirt and Pit Fines are around 2.0 tons per cubic yard. Clean stone is anywhere from 1.3 - 1.5…5/8’s is the 1.5 and something bigger like 1” agg is 1.3. Road Base is 1.8.
I like every thing about your Truck and Pup but i can't imagine looking at the back of that visor all day !
Nice job....love your steering wheel btw
Thanks! 👍
Just don’t spray alcohol on it. It will melt the clear coat. Been there, done that.
I enjoy your videos
Home delivery is watching for overhead utilities, tree limbs, underground culvert pipes with not much cover and above everything else "keep off my lawn". Charge by the load with a very good mark up. The ton to yard factor is 1.5. It can still be profitable. That driveway does not frighten me but your pup trailer would terrify me. You got this
Haha yeah there are for sure a lot of factors to take into account
@@DauminiqueTheDumpTruckDriver those residential loads i referred to as sneaker money when my kids were small. It would be my last load of the day when it would come right
Usually cash and learn what the kids needed today when i got home. Good times! I'm an old guy now and miss those days.
Hi Dauminique, now that you own your own dump truck... Have you considered putting cameras in some interesting locations to show you backing up and from the top front edge of the dump bed looking backwards so we can all see the loading and dumping?
Look y’all! Thuggy D in the hood!😂 Stay safe homie
You too!
Cool
right on! do not got your truck stuck! even a wrecker would not go down that driveway. i'm sure you have seen videos of log trucks being pulled by a skidder and mud is a foot or more deep, but if the cable or chain breaks.......
Everything is cool! Gotta change those green gauges though….lol!
Good Job I think you made a wise choice that looked to steep goods call take care are you on the next video
Thanks 👍
When you hauling for large projects like road building you calculate weight because the heavier the more fuel you use and you dont want to overload
When you do smaller progects you measure the thickness and the square footage of the area you going to cover with that material and that is all you buy.
We get paid by the hour
"i became a dump truck driver so i didnt have to do math" hahaha same!!!!
Just started watching your channel thanks to Tim gentry got to say I like the content love WA I use to deliver new motor homes out of Goshen Indiana to mount Vernon WA then fly back home out of SeaTac beautiful country out there!!!!!
holy shit balls that is the nicest scale house i have ever seen.
us hillbillys up here in ny do home stuff all the time! have my own gravel pit so everything is by the yard have no way to weigh truck know what size the box is go from there cost goes up if its in place ie bring in a dozer deliver lots to contractors for backfilling houses or pipelines--septic and such have 2 trucks tandem and single axle your doing good
I like your skills n style
There is no more local exemptions, can’t go around it , if you haven’t looke , just click RUclips google or DMV , it’s everywhere on net , lol thanks BigAl California praise Jesus grace Christ amen. Thanks Dauminique, you rock the rock loads , p. S. What is the new name of your beautiful truck, ??!! Thanks BigAl.
Was 19 in spring of 2000 when I got my CDL. Been self employed since. Sketchie driveways and customers asking for miracles are par for the coarse.
Pretty true
I have sand & gravel transfer trucks in Los Angeles and normally we multiply the yard by 1.5 to = into tons so 10 yards should have been around 15 tons. Just in case you get yard orders again. I didn’t know either because I was always used to tons but I get a lot of calls and sometimes they ask for yards so I had to learn how to figure it out. Have a good day
Yeah from googling I found out that different material has different math.
Yeah you have to find the rule of thumb equation that works with the density of stone in your area, we use 1.5 tons to 1 yd here in Pennsylvania
@@DauminiqueTheDumpTruckDriver This Yard thing really bothers me - In your industry (dump trucking) why should you have to make different maths for different materials when Tons are just so straight forward. A ton of stone and a ton of aggregate or even a ton of feathers etc etc remains a ton - plain and simple - no maths or google to be done.
@@nikostosniklaas7500 I agree. The yard thing for material makes zero sense. It’s just how it’s marketed to retail customers.
@@DauminiqueTheDumpTruckDriver How many tons of that rock would it take to fill a 15 foot by 100 foot driveway at 4" deep? As a pro, my tape measure is not marked in pounds and tons. We order concrete by the yard as well and we need a certain volume to fill forms. The 5.5 yard bucket on the 349F excavator we used on the job before last moved dirt quite fast. It took 3 scoops or so to fill the super 10's, depending on the material. The wet, black, heavy, stuff on the bottom of the pile (dredge material out of San Diego waters) put some trucks over weight. Buckets are listed by yards. Unfortunately, the scale option was not setup on that machine. We were paid by the ton for hauling the material out and needed to get max weight into the trucks. It depends on the material and what you are doing with it. If you care about volume, you need yards, or if you deal with a very light material (think shipping bulky freight such as insulation) you will be more concerned with the volume you can haul instead of tonnage. Often times tonnage makes sense, but not always. Math is easy to use, if you know the conversion and the material is consistent.
awsome video hon enjoy watcging them ya def need to fix your back up beeper hon it sounds kind of rough keep up the great job
