Great job of showing the manual way of reprogramming brushless ESC's Michael... i have had to do that myself before i ended up buying a programming card. look forward to those unboxings of the drones too 👍🇦🇺🍻
Thanks a lot Dave. Hopefully this vid helps folks out there who haven't got a programming card or those who are waiting for one but need to do an ad-hoc change in the the meantime. 😃 Oh yeah, as per your words.. I got some "drone mail" LOL! Yeah I'm really excited about opening up these boxes. I swear.. I am so tempted to go out this week and go for a fly, haha! What a great explanation. Thank. You so much. Really clear, really good visual (and audio) examples and a world away from my Chinese /German god knows what translated manual. Life saver
Amazing, your Tsky ESC still work to day?? ha ha! Thank you very much for the programming instruction! All these ESCs based on Hobbywing ESCs ,the secret which esc work with which Hobby Wing programming card ha ha.
Micko, upon further investigation I found that nowhere on my ESC is there a program button. Ya get what ya pay for so yeah I got burned. My program card is junk and so is the ESC. Live and learn. 🤔 Thanks anyway for a great teaching.
Hello Micko RC, watched your tutorial and it's very informative. I have a question for you. Do I need to have my ESC plugged into the receiver while trying to program the ESC? Thanks in advance. Edward
Hi Edward. Great question. I actually don't know as I've always had a receiver connected. My inkling is it's NOT necessary. But I'll have to test this out next time to confirm. Thanks for your kind words and support. Have a nice day!
Turning here because I have a very similar setup WRT the ESC. Mine shutters before it takes off. Alamo at like it hesitates. Reverse sometimes never works and if it comes encounters a small obstacle, it hesitates to move. Very frustrating.
First try re-calibrating your radio endpoints. (example for a DumboRC X6 radio: ruclips.net/video/WShhq0fTbio/видео.html) Then calibrate your the throttle limits on the ESC (example for a Hobbywing Brushless ESC: ruclips.net/video/MiKeYJnYjxU/видео.html) Look for tutorials for the radio and ESC you have. I hope this helps!
This looks like the same method as my Max6... I can't get my HW Xerun to enter programming mode. Would you have any idea how I can do this please ? Just want to enable reverse
Hi! I understand that all xeruns have the same procedure to go into programming mode as the ones I demonstrated in this video -- Hold down program button while switching on the ESC. If that doesn't work for you then I don't know what else to try, sorry. Good luck bro
How would initially set the esc up first time round as I've bought a motor and esc combi with no manual. Nothing is working bar the light and fan work and the light on the receiver comes on, but apart from that I'm getting nothing 😭 Ps first time doing anything like this btw 🙄
Hey Justin. Ensure that the servo is plugged into port 1 of the receiver and ESC to port 2 of the receiver. Ensure polarity is correct way around. Does your esc have a program button? What combo did you get?

I have the 60A brushless goolrc 4300 with each. I have the dumbo x6 transmitter and radio. I can’t figure out why I don’t get forward or reverse. I have steering . Any help would be appreciated
Angel Razo, You might have to calibrate/initialize the throttle boundaries on the ESC. Check your ESC manual in case instructions are there. What brand ESC do you have? An example of calibration: ruclips.net/video/MiKeYJnYjxU/видео.html I hope this helps.

Generally yes. If there is a program button attached to the ESC then more than likely yes. I was able to program the brushless ESC I purchased from ebay.. I did a demo of it on the first car in this video.
Sounds like you've changed the running mode. It's usually the first setting parameter in the ESC and forward only mode is usually value 1. You probably want value 2. Otherwise you could try doing a factory reset. In my ESC, I reset to factory settings by just turning on the ESC and then press and hold the ESC for 3 seconds. It might be the same for yours.
