  • Took a 2023 CFMOTO 700 CL-X for a spin a few weeks ago at Barber Vintage Festival.
A few key take aways...nimble and light, sporty engine, unique exhaust note, comfortable seat and seat position.

Tested rode 1 & immediately placed order for 1 😝
Not a rocket, not a Adv but it felt really fun. Engine is a Kawasaki EN 650 stroke out to 693cc. Ride it onto the open road & put the rpm to >6000, feel the engine coming to life & I started smiling from ear to ear 😆 but entering city traffic I had to change it to rain mode for smoother

Yes. Bike is priced right. Congrats on your new ride!

Not sure if you realised, but you mentioned you were in sport mode, but the dash indicator (the line under the 3-5k rpm range) shows you were in eco mode every time the video was clear enough to see it. The difference between the modes is quite stark (test rode one a few days ago).

This test ride was at Barber Vintage Fest. Everything was pretty busy and the CF team didn’t explain hardly anything. So it was guess as you go for this ride. Maybe in another riding mode it would have been more enjoyable. But if this was eco mode and the exhaust was that ruckus I wonder what it would sound like in sport or if there is a difference.

Yep. A few things about CF vs KTM that differ but it’s the creature comforts that you end up paying for. Engine is great. Seat and instrument panel not so much on the CF.

Agreed 👍 you can fins something not to like about with any bike though and for the price I really can't complain

I didn’t. I personally wouldn’t. It felt a little cheap. But they’re marketing hard in the US market.

@@CaliDad619I’d stay with a KTM. India makes some amazing machines. But if you’re trying to make an anti-Chinese stance then you may want stay away from the KTM 790, it’s Chinese.
