I learned to quilt with paper templates, glad those days are gone! It was a real learning curve though about 10 years ago when i got back into quilting learning all these new ways. Thanks to you Kimberley, thank you.
Thank you. I love your Vintage Block tutorials. I appreciate the free download and low price full quilt patterns. That way, we can make one block and decide if we want to make the quilt. I also enjoy these videos because I remember the days when we had to make our own templates and cut everything with scissors. This is so much easier, and accurate. Thanks again for everything Kimberly.
@Fat Quarter Shop Thank you very much, but I found the free pattern on your shop site. And I already ordered the full pattern! Thank you, though. Very thoughtful.
I love the classic and vintage series. I sure am glad that we have rulers and rotary blades! Thanks for sharing an easy way to get this block done easily and accurately. We appreciate you taking the time to video this for us!!
This is such a pretty pattern. Thank you for the tips to keep every point. And for keeping this quilting passion I have affordable. You and your team are truly appreciated by this Texas quilter.
THANK YOU Kimberly for the wonderful teaching videos you give us with a FREE pattern!! It’s like Christmas gifts all year round. Appreciate all you do making videos!!
Every quilt pattern sections should be designed slightly oversized for trimming down. The accuracy this would so easily provide is worth it! Love this block!
Kimberly, I just adore you. I just started quilting back up after 35 years. I have watched many tutorials and have found your techniques to be very compatible and logical with my thinking. When I press and pin, my blocks LOOK AMAZING!!! Thank you. I have a question about the 💜 with $ in it. I would like to use it, but I'm unsure of the security (in the last 6 months my bank account has been hacked twice) I was wondering if at the Fat Quarter shop if there is a way to tip for each video we watch with that symbol.
Where would and what would I look under for the sizing chart? Thank you! Kimberly talked about it when she was cutting the hour glasses. She said we could find it but I don’t know what to look under.
Hello Kutepookie! We used Red and White Gatherings by Primitive Gatherings for Moda Fabrics: www.fatquartershop.com/moda-fabrics/red-and-white-gatherings-primitive-gatherings-moda-fabrics
Hello Teresa! Kimberly is using Red and White Gatherings by Primitive Gatherings: bit.ly/3u7ueG1 We have the supplies used linked in the description box underneath the video title where it says 'Show More'
Hello TM! The FREE Turnabout Classic & Vintage Quilt Block PDF Pattern is available here: bit.ly/3FKqRLz As Kimberly said, the quilt pattern is a low-price PDF.
Hello TM! Kimberly stated that the block pattern is free not the full quilt pattern which is true for all of our Classic & Vintage Quilts. bit.ly/3FKqRLz
Hey the free link for this block is showing the swallowtail quilt block not the turnabout. And is it too much to ask that, when you provide these free tutorials you could state sizes of cut squares and other components instead of just referring to them as Fabric A or Fabric B? If it's free why not go ahead and say cut 4" squares or 5" squares for instance. It sure would be easier to follow. Thanx!
Show the camera view of the entire quilt! You make a quilt, you don't show the whole thing on the video, which is ridiculous. This is beautiful but we need to see the whole quilt, all the way to the edges not just the center. Also, your link is wrong. it does not go to the free block pattern.

What fabric line did you use? Thank you
Hello Kutepookie! We used Red and White Gatherings by Primitive Gatherings for Moda Fabrics: www.fatquartershop.com/moda-fabrics/red-and-white-gatherings-primitive-gatherings-moda-fabrics

Our customer service team can help you with that 😊
Would it not be better to stitch all four side and then cut them apart
Hello Sue! You can stitch them however you'd like.
