I really enjoyed watching how to put this together! I have loved this pattern ever since I was a little girl. My mother inherited 3 quilts from her Mother. All 3 of the quilts were made by my Great Grandmother and one of those quilts was the Goose on the Pond quilt, which she did in just 2 colors. Lavender and white. I'm now the proud owner of that quilt we used to call "the Purple Quilt". My quilt is very old, as are the other 2 quilts. I never knew my Great Grandmother because she died in 1932 when my own Mother was just 8 years old. I'm now 69 years old and I plan to make another Goose On The Pond quilt as soon as I'm finished with the 6 other quilts ahead of it on my list!
Hi! I hope you are having a great day! I sewed and filmed for RUclips, shopped for the Easter egg hunt and now I get to sit and watch your video with my hand quilting! I hope you have a fabulous week ahead! Thank you for sharing your video, your time and expertise.
I love the vintage look of the quilt and think it would create a great scrappy look for stashes filled with yardage. Thanks so much for all the easy-to-replicate tutorials.
This is a beautiful vintage block Kimberly, thank you so much for the pattern. You really are the best teacher at efficiency. Triangle paper is fabulous.
Kimberly, you teach very well! I like the way you take your time to show us how to make these beautiful blocks Always a pleasure learning from you 😊👏🏽👏🏽 thank u!
Thank you! I love this block , and have already printed it out. Once I decide on fabric, I'll purchase the quilt pattern. It would make a lovely Christmas quilt.
I am very appreciative of how, Kimberly, you design these patterns. Cutting the fabrics w/ labeling. Assembling each part of the block. Laying out the block pieces with caution noted for what directions the key pieces should be places. Sewing smaller units together & horizontal seams together for a completed block. Great idea, showing us where the directional arrows are for pressing seams, on the free (thanks!) pdf pattern. Great techniques used for each pattern produced by Its Sew Emma. Knowing the same steps are used in each pattern, make those steps feel familiar, too!
That is such a great block! The layout is so pretty. I love the fabrics you chose as well. I love this series. I don’t think I have ever seen this block before. Thanks a bunch for sharing.
