It is very refreshing on a hot day. It's easy to drink with a clean taste and a nice finish. Sometimes you just want a refreshing lager and not a honey roasted, chocolate burnished, banana flavored craft beer. Lone Star really is the national beer of Texas with Shiner coming in at a close second.

I have never tried Lonestar Beer, although I am a huge fan of Genesee Beer, another regional brew. There is just something about these regional beers that sets them apart from your typical "macro" beers in my opinion. They all provide their own unique flavor, history, and variety to the beer drinking world.

My Dad always loved some Falstaff Beer, it was founded 1903 and discontinued in 1990, then died in 2005. He like Lone Star Beer, but He loved Falstaff the most.
I remember drinking the Falstaff in stubby bottles! The beer today which reminds me a lot of Falstaff is Carta Blanca Mexican Beer. I will say, your Dad had good taste in his beer! Take Care!
To me, any beer in a bottle has a better taste than in the can. I buy Lone Star in the cans because the cans are cheaper than the bottles and easier to manage. No fear of dropping the bottle and having glass everywhere. Hope you give this a try! Really great beer and my favorite! Take Care!

Skoggit. Food City in the Chattanooga, Tennessee area just started selling Lone Star beer for the first time ever. It priced in at $6.99 for a six pack of bottles. I did a taste challenge between Lone Star and PBR. I found Lone Star to be less sweet than PBR and more breadier tasting. And those are good things. Lone Star did not have that weird PBR smell either. I found Lone Star to be a lot better than my recollections of Bud, Miller, and Coors.

I was drinking some Lone Star beers as I watched this review, and I have to agree. But we gotta be quiet or the giant armadillo will raid my fridge at night.
I mentioned once before that I found a liquor store in New Jersey that sells Lone Star for about $7.99 a six pack. I brought a six to my Mom's where my brother and I drank them down one evening. We both loved Love Star. It's not at all unlike Pabst Blue Ribbon taste-wise. A classic American style macro lager. I see Lone Star in a lot of BBQ joints and bars in the NYC area as well. Of course, I always think of you, Skoggit, when I drink one. Cheers!

That's my first choice of beer not talking down on Budweiser amd but light. But to me the blue one represents the Bud Light with better taste and the Red one represents the Budweiser with better taste🤷♂️. I also like Shiner block Zelgen block beer. They are just good

Going to Texas this july buying this and bringing this home to Missouri. Hopefully I can bring it into the airport in my luggage

Skoggit. Food City in the Chattanooga, Tennessee area just started selling Lone Star beer for the first time ever. It priced in at $6.99 for a six pack of bottles. I did a taste challenge between Lone Star and PBR. I found Lone Star to be less sweet than PBR and more breadier tasting. And those are good things. Lone Star did not have that weird PBR smell either. I found Lone Star to be a lot better than my recollections of Bud, Miller, and Coors.
Thanks for the review! I like everything about Lone Star Beer. I think Lone Star is the best beer by far! It is my go to beer! Down here I can buy a case of 24 for $16.29! I mentioned once before that I found a liquor store in New Jersey that sells Lone Star for about $7.99 a six pack. I brought a six to my Mom's where my brother and I drank them down one evening. We both loved Love Star. It's not at all unlike Pabst Blue Ribbon taste-wise. A classic American style macro lager. I see Lone Star in a lot of BBQ joints and bars in the NYC area as well. Of course, I always think of you, Skoggit, when I drink one. Cheers!

That's my first choice of beer not talking down on Budweiser amd but light. But to me the blue one represents the Bud Light with better taste and the Red one represents the Budweiser with better taste🤷♂️. I also like Shiner block Zelgen block beer. They are just good
