What a nice guy, it's a shame the dragons didn't really understand what he was selling. I think that was where he fell down - he didn't explain the concept very well. But I think Theo was right - keep doing what he's doing and build it up gradually.
Well no, it's just not a good investment. They know what they're doing. Equally, he's doing well enough alone.
@@thehound5443 They're just risk averse, that's all. Lots of "I'm outs" have gone on to be hugely successful. Looking beyond the pitch and concentrating on the idea is what will make them money, but they're also there to make good television.

Duncan is not laughing about the stupidity of the idea. He is laughing because he found something he was reading in the book VERY funny. Then Peter and Woman in Blue is laughing because Duncans laugh came so unexpected that IT was funny. Touker and Deborah are left out if. Eventually Touker and Barbara laughs nervously about the situation and Touker comments that he have done good as an author.

They weren't laughing at him. They were laughing at how Duncan just randomly exploded in laughter while he was reading the book cause he was reading something funny.
Duncan said it after he laughed: I was reading something "it was good to eat you". That's what made Duncan laugh, the other's laughs were a ripple effect

The video as it is is very misleading. If you watch the full episode, they were laughing WITH him not at him.
He explained that the book had some funny stories too, Duncan read one of them and he bursted laughing because it was funny. Then it got contagious so the other dragons laughed.
At the end Duncan praised the book, kept it and everone of them wished him well.
I will re-watch later. Put in the background while working. Their laughter at some point actually sounded like a horror haunted house laughter. Indeed. Starting with Duncan. 😂
