the one booth was wild , 40 bucks for a $5 favre. 45 bucks for a quarter shaq. 12 bucks for 93 bowman and 85 topps sets.
Sorry to hear about Wakefield (and his wife). He was a good guy, and a guy who got the most out of his ability. A weak hitting minor league 1B with no chance, learned the knuckler, won 200 games, 2000Ks, 2 world series rings, All Star. RIP
I was at Trader Jacks on Saturday and I hit the $1 box hard. I picked up 90 cards. There were some amazing finds. Ichiro rookies, couple Jeter inserts. I think you might’ve hit it before me. Guy was really nice

That dollar box was incredible, and the fact the Jeter was still in that 1993 Bowman set was a miracle. Seems like this was a productive trip for you! Thanks for sharing, Jon!

The 93 Bowman set for 12 or 20 bucks was incredible. Along with the 3 Jeter RC’s for a buck apiece. But I was surprised you didn’t buy the OGB box of toys for 150, maybe even trying some haggling for it at least. And always nice to have a friend out there that will stash old rack packs for you! Never can pass on a $10 box of randomness goodness. Awesome trip Job! 🤘😎✌️

The Dover flea market used to be a LaFontaines which was a specialty discount store.
Actually, it used to be a Heck’s store. The old Heck’s color scheme is still all around the upper portion of the walls. LaFontaines was located in downtown New Philadelphia.
Boxes of loose packs -- the Sports Card Doctor's dream!! And bonus points for the loose Jabba the Hutt. Great tour.

This is so cool. I live 30 min away from this flea market and shopped here as a kid all the time. When you first walk In to the right was where the cards were set up and they also did have supplies so I would get everything all at once.

We have supplies and a nice selection of older and new unopened sports cards and Pokémon cards. Tweed, who used to have the card booth in there back in the 1990’s is a friend of mine.

That pricing was all over the place. $40 for a Pro Set Brett Favre and $12 for 1985 Topps Baseball set.

It could be the economy . Maybe not many sales and he wanted to make rent. I know when I sold in flea markets ,the end of month had best deals and also NEW sellers always had really good stuff their first month.

The prices these guys want for junk wax boxes is insane. $180 for 1990-91 Fleer basketball? Am I missing something?
It should be around a $100 now. I have been dealing with health issues the last few months and my son has been taking care of the booth. So I have not been there much myself over the last few months. I update prices a lot based on market conditions, but when there are tens of thousands of items sometimes it takes “a minute” to catch everything. No one bitches when something has gone up and we have it out too cheap. At least we don’t have $3 Favre rookies and 25 cent Shaq cards out for $40 each. And based on your comment, yeah you missed something, especially from 2020 to early 2022. A lot of “junk wax” was going for crazy money and selling like crazy at those prices. People were sending cards in like crazy to get graded and graded prices went through the roof and people were paying the crazy prices. A lot of Jordan cards were being sent in, so the “junk wax” prices,especially for Basketball, went crazy for awhile. Those 1990 Fleer boxes were going for $8000 or more a case of 20 at one point. We sold a bunch of them at $250 to $300 a box then. Before that we used to sell them for $25….and currently they are around $100. Most of the “junk wax” we have in stock currently sells for $10 to $60 a box depending on what it is. Take care!

The 85 Topps box had 86 Topps inside so I left it behind
