That flesh colored container is a late 90s urine basin. Mostly used in floor settings with most hospitals during that time. Johnson and Johnson and the former boundtree were the leading manufacturers. As far as volume it was intended to handle one large void of approximately 500ccs. Glad you have it! True piece of medical history.
Man, I just love to see those wacky prices from the 1980's. Those (now) $1 cards in screw downs. That binder is boss! I think that is a facsimile in red, I seem to remember they had promo cards that were facsimile by example. But I never know if I should trust my memory in my old age.
The cards are mainly from the junk era of the late 80's early 90's . The three card screw down holder and the snap tight are the best things in this lot. Oh the book with the old player cards is nice.
The 125 was for the Mantle. The rest you had the honor of hauling away for him LOL. I will make an exception on those Hollywood cards. Always love the bizarro non sports cards.
That's not the Paul you're looking for at 20:45. I don't know how I spotted it, but that's THE Paul Kariya RC behind it. High-graded cards are worth a little bit!
Made your money back easily with that Mantle. Based on what many have sold for on eBay that are in way worse shape than the one you got, you're looking at $125 on the low end.
That was insane to me. Thanks for the vid. It took me back to when i was a kid and collected so many of those cards. I had duplicates of them all. I was looking up values and pausing when i saw a certain card... What a deal for you. I guess the way you sell them being ungraded is 1-$5 bins at a show right? I saw a bunch that in a PSA 9 they're worth $20-40. But after grading fees you lose or break even at best in the end so not worth it. Only try with ones that might 10 and give you your $125 back in 1 card and the rest are free... Pretty cool, thanks again.
Dude, I laughed out loud at the guy who got the crap beat out of him. 😅 Best card! I think the 2nd best card was the Raines rookie. Where'd you buy it?
WOW... I have to admit I absolutely Love This!! So many cards made me 😱 like I know that player and love the hockey cards but I'm 😂😂😂 "Urine stained" top loader Lmao. I still dunno why over time they change color like that. Epic Video Jon 👊
Great video I love your content with the junk wax I think you should do a video of a lot of the cheap hall of fame junk wax rookies. Like Randy Johnson’s is under $5 I just think it could be a fun one to have and help people build a collection
They aren't worth too much. But that Felix pot in and Daniel Sedin are both rookie cards. They were in the last stock, right before that early 60's football common and the 1981 topps basketball commons. Also, im willing to bet that Gooden box bottom has some real value. I've been collecting since 1984 and I've never seen that Gooden, even once!
I remember the Kaybee toys cards from back in the day , like i akways thought they would be worth alot becausee they were so glossy and kaybee toys was like a snoody smaller toy r us
Love random stuff like this. Those showdown cards are good for TTM bc they used basically every rosterer player like topps total. Can find some real randos
This bums me out. I just inherited a bunch of cards from the 80s and 90s and I thought I got some good cards and they would be worth a little bit. You paid 125 for all these cards. I would assume you could parse these out and make a few hundred
Seeing that Beckett book, I remember there being a Beckett team checklist book (early to mid 90s). Am I remembering correctly or Is this a Mandala Effect? If I'm mistaken, is there a website that lists team checklists? I'm looking to build vintage Angels and Padres team sets. TYIA.
No, you’re not wrong in remember that! I don’t know if Beckett made them, but they existed because you can still find them online. Usually a lot of people nowadays refer to tcdb.com (Trading Card Database) to put together sets and catalogue their collections. You can narrow sets down to team on there as well.
I’m actually going to sell that Mantle off in tonight’s auction. If you end up winning it then the other cards you mentioned would be thrown in free of charge.
Not sure if its funny or sad that I have tons of 2 and 3 row boxes sitting around my house that I'm too lazy to go through but I like watching videos of you going through the same type of stuff lol . I thought you had something awesome with the Gretzky rc until my brain said wait a second isn't that supposed to be blue bordered? I saw a Chris Spielman pro set rookie that you flipped past but that's probably only like a dollar.
So is the 88 Donruss Greg Jeffries rookie? Or the 89 Donruss "Rated Rookie"? Just nitpicking ya but you've called the 89 Donruss Jeffries his rookie card a bunch over the years whereas other cards you're on the dot with pointing out the cards that came before.
The O'Neill rookie might be the only one where the price tag on the top loader would be a really solid price. I would pay $2 for Paulie rookies all day. The Warrior!!!
Question: does RUclips penalize RUclipsrs for having videos over a certain length? Or do viewers tend to just not like long videos? I know RUclips shorts are a thing now because people have the attention spans of gnats nowadays. So maybe I just answered my question. I feel like I keep seeing RUclipsrs, whether they’re ripping or going through collections, emphasizing that they are going to keep the video as short as they can and basically “rush through” the cards. Then you check the comments and it’s full of “you missed this card” comments. Literally watched a guy rip the new Topps series one and made an emphasis on “rushing through the base to keep the video short” and literally skipped over like 4 Elly rookies and missed a SP lol idk for me that takes away from the video. I don’t watch to just see hits, I just enjoy cards. I enjoy the long videos where people spend awhile thoroughly going through card collections like some of your videos from a year or two ago! By no means am I saying you’re rushing through or anything like that. I was just curious about why people want to make the videos short and hustling through the content as opposed to just taking your time and letting it flow more naturally. Again, not saying you’re doing this, just curious! I think you do an amazing job at paying homage to the beauty of the hobby and I love the attention you give to the players no one knows haha
Studies have shown that people’s attention spans are geared more towards “shorts” these days and hence why TikTok is so popular. Most people don’t want to watch long videos apparently and it’s typically always best to try and keep RUclips videos below 20 mins to keep the viewers engaged. I know what you’re saying though, if the video keeps my interest, I’ll watch for well over that. I’m sure I’ll make more videos like that in the future though. Thank you for continuing to watch.
@@thepastisalive yeah I will occasionally go back and rewatch some of those old collection videos you have that are like an hour long. It’s the perfect back drop for when I sort my stuff or go through it haha I’ll always be a TPIA viewer, I tune in to all your stuff haha

Haha haha
Comment made me lol sounds like you know what your talking about. Could it be game used?
Wow.
I don't know, but I'd pee on it.
😳 that is wild! I thought I’d seen it all until finding out someone stores cards in a urine basin from the 1990s and now I am the proud owner of it 😂
The Hollywood cards are where it's at. Nice finds, Jon.
I love going through boxes like those and organize/adding to sets and find awesome cards
22:24 I don't know that I've ever seen an Ace Frehley Sportsflics card before haha! Cool stuff here!
That Ace Frehley Kiss card at the end was cool!
Man! I really love seeing the collections that you pick up! Thanks for this, and everything that you share with us!
Thanks Johnathan!
The Patrick Roy is part of the limited insert set, it's a little more rare then the base set, worth anywhere from 1-10 bucks depending on condition.
Wow! That Gretzky got me, too!
17:00 hated Rob . 17:42 Creep out .22:24 Space Ace Cusak
Man, I just love to see those wacky prices from the 1980's. Those (now) $1 cards in screw downs. That binder is boss! I think that is a facsimile in red, I seem to remember they had promo cards that were facsimile by example. But I never know if I should trust my memory in my old age.
That Gretzky anniversary card actually has some value to it! Graded mostly but still has value! Cool pickup buddy! Cool collection!
I’m a big Orioles fan. I have twice as many Ripken cards as that guy but it was cool to see another orioles fan out there! Thanks.
The cards are mainly from the junk era of the late 80's early 90's . The three card screw down holder and the snap tight are the best things in this lot. Oh the book with the old player cards is nice.
Geez, I thought I was done, but that's a Felix Potvin RC at 22:22 and an second year Daniel Sedin.
Always fun my friend! Thanks for sharing,!
The Orioles 1991 season was the last one for Memorial Stadium. Maybe that’s why he had so many of those mini schedules
Good call, Mikey!
The swashbuckling Maggie from The Simpson’s was a close second to the ‘69 Mantle as my fav. Another fine buy of bulbous boxes Jon! 🤘😎
😂 thanks Mark!
Those Hollywood cards are wild. I bought a collection recently that included the entire 1992 Elvis card collection!
The 85 donruss Gooden box bottom 😍
Jon, how did that Pee Wee card not automatically go into a screw down case?!?
😂
I love all those random Mattingly cards! Definitely worth $125!
the late 70's and the early 80's made it a decent haul.....nice Mantle!
The 125 was for the Mantle. The rest you had the honor of hauling away for him LOL. I will make an exception on those Hollywood cards. Always love the bizarro non sports cards.
A pretty cool collection pickup. You totally need to do a Hollywood rip in the future. Thanks again for sharing!
I’m thinking that too! Thanks for watching, Vince!
Hills is where the toys are!! 🎶
Very enjoyable to watch. Thx for sharing
That's not the Paul you're looking for at 20:45. I don't know how I spotted it, but that's THE Paul Kariya RC behind it. High-graded cards are worth a little bit!
Those price tags are straight outta an early 90's card show! 😂
Money well spent. Tons of 82-87 HOF cards 💥 At 2 cents a card no less💥 💥
Awesome videos, I haven’t seen that Ace Frehley transformation card in years, a friend collected the Kiss cards.
"Looks like somebody puked on it" = LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great pickups. Hadn't seen those Hollywood cards before. Well worth your investment!
Thanks Ethan!
2:28 lmao ...

I'll be honest I don't really know who Mel Torme is/was but the Seinfeld episode with him and Kramer is a classic!
Dude, I laughed out loud at the guy who got the crap beat out of him. 😅
Best card!
I think the 2nd best card was the Raines rookie. Where'd you buy it?
It was a local guy who called looking to sell his cards.
Everyone thought Gregg Jeffries was going to be a hall of famer back when his rookie card came out. I had a bunch and thought I’d be rich one day. 😂
WOW... I have to admit I absolutely Love This!! So many cards made me 😱 like I know that player and love the hockey cards but I'm 😂😂😂
"Urine stained" top loader Lmao. I still dunno why over time they change color like that. Epic Video Jon 👊
Love the treasure hunting!
I bought a ton of Kal Daniels cards . He had a great swing
Great video I love your content with the junk wax I think you should do a video of a lot of the cheap hall of fame junk wax rookies. Like Randy Johnson’s is under $5 I just think it could be a fun one to have and help people build a collection
The Gretzky was funny lol
Might need that Tetley Will Clark, looks super crispy. Definitely a very good buy on this collection my friend
Already put it aside for you Nick.
@@thepastisalive good man! Thank you brother.
That Ace Frehley card was awesome.

I loved Woolworths in Glen Burnie mall! It was my second stop after Toys R Us ✌❤
Great video! Always entertaining and informative. ❤ Dave Coulier and the crime dog. Pee Wee and Micheal Landon?!?!
Hollywood Set would be awesome
Bob Lilly and 78 Dave Winfield
some of those music band cards could be worth something I had a bunch of them from late 80s and someone bought them last year for $100
Love random stuff like this. Those showdown cards are good for TTM bc they used basically every rosterer player like topps total. Can find some real randos
Awesome 😎 pickup !!
Fun stuff there sir! Always great vids by the good brother lol
Thanks Bryan!

Hey bro, that John Cusack dude used to be the guitar player for KISS, ya know that? It's true.
😂
Those showdown cards are actually sellable, do not trash them. Lots of $5+ cards
Not bad for 125.
The Mantle alone is around $100 so I figured it was a no brainer.
Shit looks like my collection. I collected from 86 to 91. I just started again. I wish I never quit
At 16:17 that's Bump Wills, not Willis, it's Maury Wills son
You can judge the age of a collection not by the look of the cards, but the amount of nicotine stainage on the top loaders.

Nice pick up Jon
Nice pickup again brother
Would you be willing to part with the Orioles pocket schedules?
The Velvet Fog rookie!!!
I want that Phil Rizutto Yoo-Hoo card.
If you ever do a case of hollywood i would be interested in at least a box
Pulls the Pee Wee Herman card " I'm officially obsessed with this"
😂 you took the words right outta my mouth
What set is that Steve Yzerman card from? It's his rookie card design, but not the same photos and he wasn't wearing the C back then.
You’re right, I’ll have to go back and check because it’s definitely a reprint or at least looks that way.
Jon! What would you like for that will Clark Tetley tea?
On the hunt for a Hollywood box
How can I get that Bump Willis from you?? I have an employee who is related to him and is looking for a card from him
Was that a Marlboro sign on the 85 Gooden ?
You need to put that Pee Wee card in a screw down case Jon 😂
How much do you want for the 1969 Topps MM(yellow) the Ace Frehley(hologram) & the ‘James Dean’ Hollywood cards?? USD currency
I’m actually going to sell that Mantle off in tonight’s auction. If you end up winning it then the other cards you mentioned would be thrown in free of charge.
Did you not notice the 2 Bob Horner rookie cards?
What's with the different colour on the Kevin Mitchell card at 5:40?
It may have been a Tiffany, I’ll have to go back and check.
Why was Ken Phelps put in the witness protection program?
Not sure if its funny or sad that I have tons of 2 and 3 row boxes sitting around my house that I'm too lazy to go through but I like watching videos of you going through the same type of stuff lol . I’m glad you enjoy them! Maybe you have an actual Gretzky rookie hiding out in your boxes
I like the oddball cards like duracell ha
If you want to get rid of the Pucketts I will take them.
You skipped right over at least 2 Glenn Hubbard cards, and a Chris Sabo rookie card lol
First card or Rookie card
Greg swindel rc best card in the lot
Deangelo williams bowman rookie not too bad
I got a bunch of nfl rookies for sale 2020 to recent
Has to be the Pee Wee card, or the Mantle?
Kevin Mitchell was yhe fist cecil Fielder
Awesome video!! Is that card at 22:24 FS?? Would love to have that!
Thanks! I actually put that one aside for a buddy who’s a big Will Clark collector. If he doesn’t need it then it’s yours.
@@thepastisalive OK, cool. I was referring to the Ace Frehley card, kinda black and white 3d ish.
Hey how much for that Pee Wee card??
$125 👍
Maggie Simpson rookie

88 Donruss is definitely Jeffries rookie! If I called 89 a rookie before, it’s because as kids I think we always thought that was his rookie card.
Name your price I'll take those Magic cards.
$15 shipped and they are yours. My email is thepastisalive1984@gmail.com if you’re interested
