Awesome! How does the rookie draft work? Do we need to add bench spots for the rookie draft?

I am the commissioner in a league that's been going for many years. Most of the guys don't want to change, we're lucky we switched to PPR years ago, lol. Seriously, It's good to keep the league evolving and fun. How much FAAB would you suggest using in a 12 team H2H, competitive PPR league? Thanks for the video, great job. Good luck this year. 👍

Lmao I know how that feels. Whenever I want to make a change I really have to give some deep explanations about why something should be added and even then it's tough. For what it's worth, everyone in my league is super happy with the changes once they are incorporated and none of them want to go back how it was before. For FAAB just do $100, it's the easiest to keep track of. The amount really doesn't matter because everyone has the same amount so you just look at FAAB in terms of a %. So if you want to bid on a player and spend 10% of your FAAB, having 1,000 FAAB or 100 FAAB is the exact same thing. Thanks for the kinds words, good luck to you as well!

I do a lot of cool nifty things in my espn leagues. But now finally after experimenting with sleeper on my off time I’m happy to next year move the leagues over to sleeper. So much better.
Most of my questions will be about FAAB. WW set ups. Roster stuff.
So with FAAB can I add more through out the season or am I stuck with whatever the number is set before the draft. I ask this cause I wanted to do a reward/risk feature where they could win some or lose some Throughout the season.
How exactly does FAAB work. Does it only let you bid on players with salary on certain days and then others people can pick up freely?
Can FAAB have a limit on how many Waivers you can have per week.
If I have more questions I’ll ask later.
I plan to do a rookie keeper for my redraft league. 1 for def players and 1 for off players. How would trading draft pics work if someone traded two pics for the one player? I guess what I really mean is the implication on draft day. Like would the one guy who had 2 less draft pics have a bench spot open after the draft and the guy who got 2 have to end drafting one round early? Like how does that work.
On sleeper can you set up KR, PR, HC, all those abstract positions as draftable positions?
Can I manually adjust others teams like add and remove players in case a league member cheats or something.
That’s pretty much all the basic questions I have for now. I’m doing some exciting stuff in my league but this comment is long enough.

Awesome questions! It sounds like your league is super awesome and in depth, congrats to you. I am in agreement that Sleeper is way better and ahead of the times compared to other platforms. Regarding your questions:
      1. I have not tried to do this but I am 99% sure as the commissioner you would be able to add/remove FAAB from managers as you see fit.
      2. You can customize the FAAB waiver schedule however you see fit through the Sleeper App. For example, I have all players locked through the week. We have two separate FAAB runs, one on Wednesday at 7pm before the Thursday game, and then one on Saturday night. Then on Sunday morning all players become free agents. You can customize this however you want for each day of the week
      3. I don't think there is a setting to have a limit on FAAB waivers, but you could just make it a rule without it being through the app. You would just have to monitor waiver pickups which could be a pain
      4. So when I say draft position trading I am talking about the position you draft from for the entire draft. So if I was in the #2 position for redraft. I could trade my entire position for the whole draft (every round) with someone else. Trading draft picks specifically for certain rounds is totally different and something I don't have a lot of experience with
      5. I don't think they have those yet, I am only seeing defense positions as of right now. DL, LB, and DB.
      6. Yes absolutely!
      Hope this helps!

@@fearlessfantasyfootball it helps a lot! I was about to ask about the difference between FAAB WW and FA since rn I’m running a test on sleeper to see all that I can get away with.
Looks like kick and punt return yards are a thing. I realized sleeper is very specific with how it does scoring. Example. TE premium I set it to 2 points for TE receptions. Only to realize it technically adds the 2 to the originally 1 point ppr. So I had to adjust that. Also learned that bonuses stack so if you want a bonus for 100 rushing yards and a bonus for 100 combined yards it will give you both bonuses not Just one of them if let’s say you only rushed for 100+ yards and that’s it. So it’s very specific and had to do bit of math work to get scoring a certain way instead of on espn where it’s based per yard. Sleeper is based on per 10 yards. I’ll just have to make it a rule you only pick up 3 players per week. I really appreciate you taking the time to answer these questions.
Here is my ultimate league incase you where curious:
14 man Super Flex (6pass TD), TE premium (2.0), IDP (aggressive scoring), KR/PR yards (.25 for kick and .3 for punt). Redraft/Keeper hybrid where you keep just rookies 2 per year for 2 additional years (optional to do).
It’s a fun competitive league that literally tests all your knowledge into one deep league. It’s mega fun and I only add new creative things every year that I know no app does just to make it even better. The league is the ultimate fantasy league and it’s kinda like a NFL GM/HC simulator experience.

@@fearlessfantasyfootball winners get trophies, ring, money. And I’m my other league they get a banner and a jersey of their choosing and a ring.
trophies: you win conference (aka division trophy), best offense of the year, best defense of the year, coach of the year (that one is cool cause everyone in the league voted for who they think deserves the title as best fantasy coach of the year). They are all custom trophies, and the Super Bowl ring is custom as well. You win some money for winning your division. And then 1st and 2nd place win money. Roughly 70ish percent goes to 1st and 30%ish goes to second. If I get enough extra donations I can add a jersey or a super custom ring or Super Bowl trophy to that league as well.
Buy In for my main league is set to be between $180-$200 and for my other league is $50.
Other league may get a Super Bowl trophy too that changes hands every year for whoever wins.
There is also going to be a plaque for my league maybe both leagues for keeping track of records broken. Second league is just a redraft league with SF and TE prem and some IDP (maybe) and some kick/punt return yards.

How can a commissioner or manager transfer a team after initial week.

  • @anthonyladota5861

The waiver situation has always be confusing to me...I am the commissioner in a 12 team 0.5 PPR league in Yahoo, we have been using FAAB and everyone likes it...I know you may have answered this, but what days should i have waivers process? Also should the waiver rule be none, Sunday -Tuesday, first game of the week Tuesday, game time - Tuesday or continuous?

    • @ryan3996
      @ryan3996 Год назад +1

Yahoo waivers are honestly so confusing to setup and they don’t explain very well at all. If I was on Yahoo I would probably just make it as simple as possible and do the following. Determine waiver priority by: FAB w/continual rolling list. Waiver rule: Gametime - Tuesday (so Tuesday at 5:30 PST I believe). So FAAB waivers run on Tuesday and then every player is just a free agent until the next week. Hope that helps!

Only on the "Sleeper" app platform I believe. Yahoo and ESPN don't have nearly as many customizations when it comes to adjusting waiver days and times
