Respect the work and love the channel, but this would be quite the lineup to get out of a startup draft. 10 players by the early 8th? Pittman and Nico? They go next to each other… see Adp list below… Even if you could argue these are placeholder names for value tier equivalent players this is still a hard lineup to realistically build in a startup. Would love you guys to redo this episode looking at some of your money league startup results so the strategy episode is based in a bit more of a realistic outcome. I’ve gotten hooked on this channel recently, and dynasty in general. I’m curious about their membership, the website makes you create an account first. Anyone know the cost?
My issue has really been some of these guys you are suggesting are getting picked up earlier than ADP like Brooks is getting taken in the 5th a ton in drafts I’m in. And how are you getting ARSB and Lamar. I have seen neither make it out of round 1. What do we do when we are at the end of the round or beginning?
What we thinking Boys? 12 TM SF TE Prem .5 Got offered: A) McBride For B) My 2025 1st, Schultz My Team: QBs: Hurts, Murray, Young, Minshew RBs: Cook, Pollard TEs: Hockenson, Mayer, Bellinger WRs: AJ Brown, Pittman, Flowers, Ridley, Johnson, Meyers, Corley, M. Wilson
Easy take, McBride is a stud -- but you'd probably want a plan to sell either McBride for a higher price than the 1st or Hockenson for a similar price (might have to wait till he returns from injury, but on the Vikings with McCarthy at QB, I'd take McBride over him all day).
Depends on where you think your 1st will be -- looks like it'll be late, strong team for a 12-team league, and the '25 draft class looks shallow beyond Shedeur, Luther, Tetairoa, and a few RBs.
So my weak point on my team is TE, I currently have Cole Kmet. Not that he's bad but not consistent and in a crowded receiving room now. So who should I target for trades? I don't have first round picks in 2025 or 2026
Guys who come to mind are Mark Andrews (some people may have forgotten how good he is after missing most of last season; maybe a decent WR and 2 2nds could get it done), Ben Sinnott (rookie WAS TE), Kittle (old, but not named Kelce, so you might get him at a great price), and Hockenson (currently injured, but will come back and probably return to mid-TE1 status, even with McCarthy). The younger guys like LaPorta and McBride are gonna be way too expensive.

Target Odunze, Corley, and Polk with your draft picks...at least 1 of those dudes will contribute heavily this year, with an easy path to WR1a/1b status for Odunze within a year or two. Pick up a starting QB off waivers in case Cousins struggles for a bit, but hold on to Fields; dude is a lottery ticket. If you can, try to get a late first or decent WR for Kittle, Ferguson is plenty decent but Kittle still has name value, might get another good WR (like McConkey or Coleman) with something like the 1.10
This team has 2 first and 2 second round startup picks from my draft in fact it has 4 top 16-17 players taken. Lamar 5th overall amon 10th purdy 14th Nico 17th iirc.
I just rechecked my draft for some reason in my head I swapped Puka with Nico so purdy was 17th and puka was 21st and Nico went in the next round but the point is still at least in my most recent startup this team couldn’t be made not even close.
Out of a $200 budget in a startup, at what point does a top RB become too good of a value to pass up? Also, what is a good cost for MHJ in a startup auction draft? I don't want to leave my draft without him but he's going to get so costly.
I had a startup a few weeks ago with a $400 budget and I got bid up all the way to $100 for MHJ :P It was an insane price to pay, but you can make it up in the later rounds after everyone has spent their money and you can scoop up guys like Brian Thomas somehow for $5.
Should I trade Trey McBride, Michael Pittman, Keenan Allen, and a 2025 1st for Ja'Marr Chase? I have Mark Andrews at TE and Evans, DK, Pickens at WR, no TEP.
@@Joshua-s8m Thanks for your feedback man! I feel the same way too, dude's asking for too much considering Chase finished the season injured and has declined production-wise every year from his rookie season peak (a lot of that has to do with Burrow being injured, but still).
So I took over a guys team in an already going dynasty league, my first ever dynasty team. I didnt know how bad the situation was until I actually got in. He traded away almost every player and draft pick possible. I only had Anthony Richardson, Derek Carr, St Brown, Chris Olave, and Jake Ferguson, some mid scrubs, and two 1st rd picks this year, no picks at all in 25 or 26. I had to sacrifice St Brown and got Calvin Ridley, a 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and a 1st next year for him. Turned some of the scrubs into a good amount of 2nd & 3rd, and then in the draft, did of ton of GMing. Overall, I ended just the draft with QB: Maye, Nix, Rattler, RB: Corum, Lloyd, Tracy, Laube WR: Odunze, McConkey, AD Mitchell, J.Burton, Polk, Corley, McMillan, TE: Bowers, T.Johnson, C.Stover. As crazy as it is to draft THAT MANY players in one rookie draft, I think I got a great haul and enough dart throws to be able to make more moves to turn this team around quickly and set myself up. I also managed to get a 1st, 3rd, and 2 4ths for next year's draft.
@@dzuke2910 A lot of people do that trying to win in 1 year. If they fail, then they leave and screw the next owner. It happens a lot in dynasty. The worst case scenario is you trading away some key pieces to build your roster around in the rookie draft like you did. I had to do that in one of my IDP leagues this past year cause his Offense was so bad.
@@MattMuas97 Yea, it stinks. A part of me thinks some of the trades may have been taking a little pity on me because of the situation. If I didnt trade, I had zero recourse to actually field a competitive team. But there were tough decisions. I had pick 1.02 and had to pass up on Nabers or Caleb Williams, but for that one pick, I turned it into 1.05 & 1.09, Got Bowers and then traded that 1.09 for 1.12 & 2.01 which became Drake Maye and Ladd McConkey. So Caleb might be the better prospect with the fast track to a starting role, but I dont have the luxury of sitting on that one pick, where the guys I traded with did. But with my situation, Id take the end result of Maye/Bowers/McConkey over Caleb 10 times out of 10. More dart throws, and then hopefully I can flip a couple of my 17 rookies for future draft capital. Like if Malachai Corley turns into Rodgers' new Randall Cobb type target, Im sure someone will come calling to make a trade.

You are right this would be a great team to have right out of a start up however it’s not exactly realistic. The most recent start up I did had 7 of these guys drafted in the 1st 4 1/2 rounds. We can all just pick great players and make a fictitious line up but this isn’t happening without giving away big future capital. Should’ve just stuck with your initial joke and put Mahomey, Josh Allen, CMC, and Chase together and say “this is how we like to build our team”….wouldn’t we all?
Getting Bijan and Lamb in a 12 team is insane if you're in year 1. Team is hella strong in a 12-team tho, any luck and pending AR and Achane's health/Aiyuk staying with SF, you may well have the ship in the bag.
My team: Hurts and Purdy...Wr's are Tyreek, Puka, Collins, Cupp, Diontae Johnson, Coleman, etc.....TE is La Porta...RB's are Breece Hall, Kyren Williams, Isiah Pacheco, Jaylen Wright, Ezekiel Elliot...feeling pretty solid.
Imma flex real fast. Yall talked about Pittman as a good wr2 and great wr3. Based on KTC value he is my wr6. Production wise this year I’m thinking he probably outperforms Rome and maybe nabers too so for this season he still may be my wr4. But I would say him and Metcalf are pretty interchangeable as my wr 3/4 so I’m happy! Just wanted to flex a little bit
Downtiered from Chase and Wilson to Puka and Olave and picked up 2x 2025 1sts. Planning on selling of pacheco for another 1st once the season gets going, then trying to compete for next season.
I'm inclined to hate this, but I can easily see a world in which you're right to do this. Wilson may have a year or two of Aaron, after which the Jets will probably return to QB hell. Chase is a stud, but he - and Burrow - have been concerningly injury prone, while Puka looked unstoppable and produced despite the presence of Kupp and Kyren. Olave is gonna be a solid WR2 for the majority of the next decade. The only thing that gives me pause is the '25 1sts -- by all indications, that's a shallow draft class. May not end up with any legit quality beyond 2 WRs and Shedeur Sanders (if you're in a superflex).

@@keshavsharma5406 wr isn't as deep as this year but there are still a couple top tier and a few others that will be good. The 2025 rb class looks like the best in a LONG time, rb market is about to be reset.
that being said, i'm definitely nervous about those downtiers lol
That Rachaad White take has NOT aged well lol
tell that to my DYNASTY TEAMS 😂
My god these RB takes didn’t age well
